Season 3

Starting to hit bigger numbers now but a long way to go before we're hitting the kinds of numbers we're going to need to even get halfway to getting this challenge done. Some great growth though and they're virtually never injured which is a nice plus - I just need to get their stamina up. 

 

124 goals between them (inc CWC update below)

 

Competitions:

Took the league easy enough, Rangers knocked us out the cup early when I fielded a weakened team but the boys dug deep and managed to win the CL this year.

Endrick giving everything to get that goal and cropping himself in the process.

 

Transfers:

The board expected success in all areas but then only gave me a pitiful £25m so the summer was quiet bringing in Kaiky for depth and Nathan to replace Ralston as my back up RB as no one better could be found. In Jan I had a big offer for Mamardashvili so accepted that as Porro wanted a new contract and some other players started to turn on me so i needed some money to throw at people to cheer them up. Raya came in to replace him for a £40m profit and after some late Christmas bonuses were handed out, I have control of the dressing room again.

Aside from that, there was a lot of investment in potential wonderkids so i'll see if any make it to the first team over time.

 

Team:

Similar story to last year with majority of assists coming from my wide players because that's how I roll. IWB love a yellow card it seems...

 

Side note: I'm trying to plant the seed of a long career in the boy's heads Inception style by getting Llorente to commit to his 45th birthday so lets hope they think it looks fun 😂

Season 3b

I forgot about the CWC. Endrick missed first two games injured before the season ticked over but Luis scored a couple of hat tricks with old man Llorente next to him. 

 

Goals:

Endrick: 171/2000

Luis: 116/2000

Total: 287/4000

Nice progress indeed. Let's see if you manage to bump that Stamina up to green. If I remember correctly it was real easy in fmm19 but a pain in fmm20.. don't know how things stand right now in that regard.

Season 4

Creeping higher and higher on the goals front but I was hoping to clear 150 this year. We got close but just missed with 148 goals.  Some nice stat growth with Endrick getting up to 18 aerial and Luis looking sharper too.

 

 

Competitions:

Domestic triple was walked but Liverpool hammered us 7-1 on aggregate in the CL semi final (not sure what happened there!).

 

Transfers:

A few fringe players left when good offers came in but i refused to lose any of my key players.

 

Fernandez was available for an exchange but he scored too many goals so i need to look at controlling him more. Guess that's always the way with AP/AM. Bayindir came in as my number 1 and did a great job. I had a decent offer for Collins but then he became unsettled so i used him in an exchange deal for Morato to get a left footed CB which i was lacking. No marque signings here really.

 

Team:

Abada doing me proud. I need a better left winger but i'm yet to squeeze 18 crossing or above out of a wonderkid due to some bad starting stats but Roony will do for now.

Endrick: 255/2000

Luis: 180/2000

I don’t like international management - too much admin. But immediately regretted it because of the challenge 😂. Then they hired the same dude. I’ll get it next time as need to put numbers over enjoyment 😂

Season 5

Creeping up gradually. Endrick is looking great, I’m hoping I can squeeze some more height out of Luis but they’re both banging then in now. 
168 goals. 

 

 

Won everything with a perfect league campaign. 

 

Transfers:

Demiral had some red characteristics so when I got a good offer for him, he was out. 
 

Zakharyan came back to us and was great. Todo I was solid at the back and the rest are mostly wonderkids. Michiels is de Bruyne I think but has a lot of developing to go. Thorsby came in to be a mentor and has high professionalism so sorted the squad out nicely. 
 

Team:

Bubas is my young left winger I’m trying to get up to speed. Literally, his pace is awful.

Pretty good. Really stepped up last 2 seasons when I put him on corners.

Wow, you're going great mate, and the lads are still as young as my two after season 3... The only thing is you probably should have taken the ITN gig as it will make this a lot easier - but I do understand why you didn't. It's the first time I've used it for 3 or 4 years for the same reason.

Great to see Abada doing well. I wanted to keep him, but had to sell him to fund my other players. He seems class though.

Anyway, great job, can't wait to see how this pans out!

Thanks man. Yeah I should have put the challenge ahead of my hatred for international management. I’ll take it next time…
