Tactics Twin Towers plug and play tactic

Hello Vibe! 

That's my first to have the honor to share with you a successful tactic.. Inspired by the 2k DT challenge I've made a try to see if this challenge can be doable..of course im far away from this but my tactic i think made a lot of success.. im trying it only in Scottish Premiership with a lot of goals!!

Be kind with the photos and my language and feel free to make any change in the tactic..

It's quite amazing to see not only a 1-CB tactic work but with wide shape on top of that. There's so much space in the middle for the opposing forwards to hurt you this way. I'm sure I've tried something similar before but with narrow shape to keep FBs closer to the 1 CD guy in case of being outnumbered, which is pretty much every game 😂 don't think it ever worked for me so well done to you. And to others too as I've seen 1-CD formations in several career threads.

Maybe I should buy the game already and run some tests.

It's an honour to have a comment from one of the vibes greatest.. its a funny tactic which i think with the right players works very good.. I don't know how the tactic reacts at difficult leagues but it's a pleasure to see my team scores a lot of goals!

If that's the aim then by all means go for it. 

I quite like the flat midfield three with 2 CMs and an AP or DLP in the center. Worked well in previous versions. The RP role is new to me, go figure how long I've been away hehe! Out of curiosity, how many goals / assists does he (RP) average per season?

I am still trying to figure out a good combination and formation.

My current one is looking very similar to this but looking to get more from my wide players

I believe with a world class team at Scotland you can make wonders...the theory is simple..buy two of the tallest strikers in the game and get to them a lot of crosses .. in this experiment uldrikis is a decent striker only with aerial and shooting attributes green and Makienok only his aerial attribute is green..

Exactly like you predicted. Tactic is working well in the EPL but got exposed too much in the CL nights esp in the half space (Mbappe). Very explosive against inferior team.

Yeah dude...like i said this tactic working only at poor leagues and if you have the better team of the league...

Experienced this tactic in the first thirteen games in the league, it was amazing to see how the аlone DC handled it. And notice there's no one around to help him, and also the possession didn't drop below 50%, in my opinion the attacking foursome does a great job of pressing, which deprives the opponent of possession, and in the center the three midfielders just don't let the opponent breathe. I also noticed that the Wings are loading a lot of passes (~30+crosses). In a word so far I like everything we will continue to test this amazing tactic.

Think because it's in Scotland. You can never get away with that in the PL. Even Nottingham will make light work out of you 💀

Tactic looks promising but I'm sure when I test it out, I'll so manhandled 😄

You should try, its a good tactic. I never knew before that two TM will work. Also, going wide with short passing is new for me. I guess if you wanna make this works in the EPL you need a good passing/decision stat all over the field (going control - wide - short - disciplined). I did move one CM to CD position to make the passing lane even across the pitch and close the gap in the half spaces. Just won UCL with that tweak tho i must say, my two TF is a dzeko regen with 20 aerial and a 4 star rated senegalese with 18 aerial.

I'm in the midway of second experiment for this tactic..

Greek superleague now also a poor league but i think a little bit better than Scottish Premiership..

The results was very promising for the future and my twin towers also smashing numbers..

I see that you've added man marking onto the test with Aris, which is different to the original post with Celtic.

Which is the final version?

I'm going to look at testing this in England in the Premier League.

Good luck at Premier League..it depends the opposition..at difficult away matches the man marking works better..the original is without the man mark ..

You need fast CD and WB's , your TM at least 15 aerial, your W at least 15 crossing and pace..i think Oshimen and Vlahovic would be perfect for Manchester United!! (My favourite club outside my country) glory glory Man United!!!

I'm starting a new save as Newcastle. Plenty of money to overhaul the squad to get exactly what we need - will update after 10 matches or so.

Out of interest, what do you do for attacking corners?

For the corners i set both the towers to mark the keeper and send the ball to penalty spot.. I'll be waiting for your update pal

This is working tactic. All draws was bad luck. I buyed osimhan, calwert  and mitrovic.

 

My wingers and wbs have bad crossing.it was quick test. I will do full game with napoli i think

Pre World Cup update:

 

Included some harsh beatings; 3-0 by Chelsea, 5-0 by Liverpool.

I would say it’s relatively early days though as I’ve pretty much bought a new starting 11 to suit the tactic and I’m yet to have decent tactical relationships.

Huge potential though.

Will update further into the season!

It's a promising start..you have already the best attack in the league..keep going my friend!!

This tactic is self-sufficient, but I would like to miss less. So a little bit of experimenting with defense came to this conclusion: 
     Moved the edge defenders to the lone hero forming a trio of superheroes 😂 (for the side center defenders included man marking). Thus the defense seems to me now can successfully counter the opponent's double strikers, and not so convincingly ( to be further tested) against a single striker and two wide strikers (attacking trio).
The original settings were left untouched.
As you can see below it worked ( need to observe further to be sure).
