Career Dai's dual Strikerless 1kc (S14) COMPLETE!

Whilst a lot of people are attempting @Rob's seemingly impossible DT challenge, I have my very own challenge put to me by the same evil-genius quite a while ago. Rob is the one who challenged me to do a strikerless 2kc whilst having zero experience even using a tactic without a striker. Here is that career for anyone interested. It was a success. Not being content with that, Rob has since challenged me to get dual 1kc's using a strikerless formation. Not a strikerless DT, which would be the obvious to attempt first but a dual 1kc. *facepalm*

I'm not even sure its possible. Adapting my strikerless tactic to accommodate another player to share the goals seems a bit of a stretch but i am willing to give it a go, as always. Can't let Rob down. Ha!

So.....

 

The Club

I'm heading to Holland. I've never played a long winded career here so I'm intrigued to see how my tactic works in this league.

 

The Players

I can't begin to explain how happy I am that Holland is a playable National team again. They have the stand out players to use for this challenge.

 

SEASON 1

Transfers:

Main objective is supplying my star players. Also, creating a full Dutch 11 to develop for when and if we get the Holland job.

 

Competitions:

Unstoppable domestically and pushed Real Madrid all the way in the Champions League. Encouraging start.

 

Half way through the season is the World Cup. Obviously I was hoping the Netherlands were useless. My wish was granted.

This is MASSIVE for the challenge. Getting the lads playing International football from as young as 17 could prove vital.

 

The Lads:

They suffered a minor injury each.

I'm a few seasons ahead of this and didn't realise i hadn't got the player profile page at the end of the season. That's really not like me at all. I can confirm that movement and shooting increased for both players as well as aerial ability. They have both since plateaued though which is a concern. Also, all updates in future have these screenshots. Such a nooby error.

A decent start. Still not convinced these numbers will be good enough. The players are young enough for a 20 odd year career but I don't want to rely on them scoring masses of goals when their stats start to decline.

Great start especially getting the ITN this early in the save. The first few rounds in the Dutch Cup are real easy with amateur teams in the mix as well. Hopefully you can take advantage of that too scoring double figures.

Fantastic start mate. I have a fascination for strikerless myself having completed 1.5K and a 1K with Zaniolo and Kangin Lee in previous editions. So, i will be hooked into this.

It's great having a World Cup so early this year. For goal challenges I don't think there will be a better version of the game ever again, tbh. The easier Cup games will hopefully make up for the fewer League games in the Dutch League. That was my thinking when deciding to use Ajax for this challenge. Thanks.

Thanks man. I have found strikerless interesting even before i tried it myself. I always wondered how on earth it was possible to get the amount of goals I saw people getting, including yourself. Now, I've tried it, I'm a bit obsessed too. Hopefully this will be interesting for you to follow.

Season 2

Here we go with an update.

I have my Dutch 11 pretty much sorted so this was all about strengthening to go full assault on the Champions League. We need to go as far as we can in competitions to give the main lads enough games to start hitting big numbers as their stats increase.

Ibanez, Chalobah, Porro, Fernandez and Neco are all amazing players but they also still have room to improve. Kostic comes in with the hope of him making an immediate impact.

 

Competitions:

Strengthening the first seem paid off. We won the Champions League this year too!

Fantastic season.

 

International:

No major or minor tournaments this year. So close after the Winter World Cup.

Simons scored 10 goals in 11 games and Misehouy scored 9 in 11.

 

The Lads:

Simons went the entire season without injury whilst Misehouy missed a few games with a very minor knock. If this can continue I will be very happy.

Club: 47 + 10 (International) = 57

OVERALL: 99

 

MISEHOUY:

Goals: 45 + 9 (International) = 54

OVERALL: 108

 

I'm pretty happy with the returns so far. If it works out like this for the duration then i'll be here forever so I'm expecting and hoping for more returns as they both improve. Misehouy looks like an absolute beast already so I expect him to streak ahead of Simons.

It's decent, I think. I'm trying to compare it to DT numbers which is silly because it's totally different without strikers. I can't be expecting to better the numbers I would see using strikers. But, I'm trying. Ha!

Well done already Dai, you're smashing this. Misehouy is a beast, you might have to hold him back to save some goals for Simons but they are remarkably even for now.

Great stuff mate. I think the numbers are pretty good, especially given they will improve in the coming years. They are already above 50 each, which means they'd hit the target in 20 years. As their numbers goes up, the number of years will come down further, so should be no worries!

Simons is on pens and Misehouy on free kicks. Simons misses an absurd amount of pens. Ha! He has a 3 star rating for them too whilst Misehouy has 2.5 stars. I might have to aim corners at Simons only for a while is Misehouy does start leaving him behind. I'll have to see how it goes though.

Because of their age I know I have up to 20 years to get it done but I really don't want to play 20 seasons. Lol.

Season 3

Kenneth Taylor was going to be an important part of this challenge but one of the young Dutch players that came through the ranks is already better than him and still has room for improvement so I decided to cash in early. That transfer was towards the end of the season though. Neco Williams makes way for the arrival of Chiesa. The other incomings are for the future. Some gems amongst them.

 

Competitions:

Lost in the Dutch Super Cup to a late goal. Other than that it was a fantastic season.

 

International:

Lost in the final of the International League to a 95th minute goal.

The spoiler will reveal possibly the worst penalty shootout in history. Ha!

Simons picked up a couple of minor injuries this season. Misehouy was lucky enough not to get injured.

Misehouy looks incredible. Such a beast. Simons has some catching up to do as the plateau has done damage. Not sure he'll be able to make it up though.

Numbers are creeping up so hopefully that continues. I would ideally like to hit 80+ a season from now on. We'll see.

Season 4

Chalobah wanted to leave. He is replaced with Bastoni. I loaned out Banel for a few seasons so that he would improve before I sold him. The aim the get a decent fee for him. I can never use him as he can play as a striker naturally so making money off him is sensible.

Chiesa wasn't as good as I had hoped so he's replaced with a player I have used countless times before and know what I'm getting in Dan James. Saka will replace Kostic. Cristante was an amazing player to have around. He was my mentor for Misehouy and between him and Soucek they were perfect players to bring on at the 60 minute mark when my two stars needed rested.

 

Competitions:

I feel like that loss in the Dutch Cup was me being FMM'ed slightly. We also lost a League game this season, which is surprising. Other than that it was another great season.

 

International:

No major matches to report. Simons scored 17 goals in 13 games and Misehouy only scored 9 in 13 games.

 

The Lads:

Both stayed injury free this year which is massive and should be a good indicator of what they might be capable of going forward. We'll see.

I have no idea why Misehouy has dropped off so much. Slightly alarming. I am however delighted with Simons returns as he's not really improving stats wise. Only 6 goal difference between them is pretty cool though. Wonder if that will continue throughout? Maybe.

I have taken a Supervisor role in work which seriously limits my playing time and the time I have to post updates. Longer shifts but more days off. It's been a tough 3 weeks adjusting. Anywho, nobody really cares about that so, I'll get on with it. Ha!

 

Season 5

Transfers:

I'm struggling to settle on a left winger. None of the ones I've tried have had as much of an impact as I would of liked. Saka leaves. Gil comes in. The big signing was Bellingham. He replaces Enzo Fernandez. Anisio Alves is a replacement for Soucek who has been brilliant as a mentor and chipped in with a good amount of goals when replacing Simons every game. Carrascal is a versatile WB/W who looks like he's going to become world class. He'll be starting straight away as I have been less than impressed with Dan James this year.

 

Competitions:

Perfect League season and a clean sweep. Unreal!

 

International:

Victory in the International League.

Won the World Cup. Goals galore too.

Even with a few tournaments this season Misehouy managed 11 goals in 11 games while Simons only managed 9 in 12 games.

 

The Lads:

Simons stayed injury free but Misehouy missed 3 weeks.

Looking at the two you would think Misehouy would be streaking ahead of Simons. Obviously, that's not happening as predicted. I wont complain as the returns are still decent. Not what I was hoping for but they're both creeping up nicely.
