Tactics Very Solid Attacking flat 4-3-3

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

This is my first tactic posted here. It’s a very solid 4-3-3 and it has gotten me amazing results. I would love if you could give it a try and let me know how it goes. Tactic style doesn’t matter 😉. Note: this years IF’s are better on the strikers line

Nice tactic. Seems a little similar to Blsvk Hawk’s 4123 - but you’ve got sone different roles, different instructions + (critically) you have a flat midfield 3 (instead he had one back in the DMC position).

Some quick questions:

  • Aerial - how good is your central ST in the air? + does he score a lot from crosses / corners?
  • IFs - does one IF get a lot more passes + shots each game than the other? I’m guessing the right-IF will have more passes + shots, as it’s supported by the right B2B who’ll stay in the half-spaces / slightly wider, rather than the AP who’ll drift centrally.
  • Conceding - a quick count suggests you conceded ~14 in ~19 Galesburg games. Almost a goal per game. How were most of these concedes? I guess the lack of a DMC means the opposition AMC has room to play through balls into their ST, but would be keen to read your thoughts.

Thank you! To answer your questions. 1. Obviously for a CF they will need good aerial, my main ST scored quite a lot of headers and he had 14 aerial which was interesting. 2. The IF’s do score a lot and when I had a look at stats for my IF’s, there wasn’t much of a difference, both had 20 goal involvements each.

3. When the game was over ( when I was 3 or 4 nil up, I would select control after the screenshots were taken and a lot less goals were conceded I noticed)

Haven't played the game much this time around and haven't tested but with IF on the striker line, does the wingback overlap or just stand behind the winger?

It depends, the WB’s got around 10 assists each. Sometimes they’d get to the byline and overlap and whip a ball in, or they wouldn’t overlap and whip it in.

How about the result on the first season?

I don’t have the screenshots but I won the CL, prem and carabao cup using this tactic.
