2011 What attributes make a player good at dead ball situations?

I was always wondering, players like Gerrard, what attributes makes him good at dead ball situations such as free kicks into the box, scoring free kicks, being able to pick out players etc.

Obviously passing is a key part, but what other attributes affect this?

I'd say crossing, shooting, passing and technique (perhaps decisions as well)

Would creativity be a factor for free kicks?

Shooting has a part if it is a direct free kick but there's also a hidden attribute of set pieces.
