Aiming low but hoping high here.

Aiming for 2x 1.5k goals but if things go well we will push for the illusive 2x 2k goals, which I personally believe is next to impossible to complete,

Pretty much everything has to go perfectly.

 

For this challenge I will be bringing out an old favourite, Celtic, obviously.

Which other club can attract decent youngsters and have enough money / players to exchange?

Bit of a twist here as I want to have an entire Danish team.

So obviously my strikers will be the the Hojlund brothers, Rasmus & Emil.

My plans for the 1st season are:

• Complete squad overhaul
• Bring in the best young Danish talent on the market
• Bring in the best experienced players as mentors (will need a lot so will be looking at free transfers and bargains)
• Upgrade coaches, scouts & physios to all gold
• Upgrade training facilities to highest level
• Settle on a tactic that I believe can achieve all goals
• Rid the squad of all the unwanted players, hopefully get some money for most
• Win league & both domestic cups
• Survive champions league group

Taken a while to get most players in with permits got most that I wanted.

Still looking for a right wing back and right winger.

Got a right wing lined up but need to free up more cash.

Same with goal keeper. Got one in on loan from Villareal but want 8.5m foe him. Blew my budget on rasmus!!!

Nobody wants to sign my fringe players. Which is giving me issues.

I believe u could have gotten 2*2k last year. It was so much easier to score goals. This year- no way. 1500 may be reasonable target. 
Intersting player choiches, should fit ur style perfectly.

He already completed 3k goals i believe he can reach 2k goals marks if not both atleast 1 striker reach there.... Thats why Celtic is best because he will need so many goals after 32 when players starting to decline... But even than he can manage good numbers in scottish league...but it can be difficult in top 4 football leagues of europe....

Agreed last year it would have been probably achievable, this year it will be next to impossible

SEASON 1 RESULTS

1st season comes and goes just like that.

Don't really like the judge the 1st season as its usually a mess with the World Cup thrown in the middle of it.

Happy with results and development.

Emil not developing as fast as I hoped but he's still fairly young so might look for a better mentor for season 2.

Rasmus smashed it, really happy with his development and bagged plenty of goals.

Rasmus = 68 / 1500 (1432 remaining)

Emil = 35 / 1500 (1465 remaining)

 

• Complete squad overhaul ✔️

• Survive champions league group ✔️ (finished 3rd, straight into Europa playoffs, of course I get Man United, lost 6-4 on agg.)

 

Season 2 expectations

• Continue to develop front 2 and support players
• Bring in some top mentors
• Try and move on the dead wood and sell some of the bosman signings
• Progress in Europe
• Domestic treble
• 150 goals between front 2 (big ask, aiming high here)

 

On a side note, bit disappointed that the Denmark national team manager never got sacked after they bombed at the World Cup.

Finished 3rd and his job wasn't even insecure.

Would have been nice to get that early

That's a great first season. Even for the lesser of the two (to start with). I'm not doubting you can do this but Rasmus being so old (only 19 haha) at the start is a hurdle in itself. I wish you luck though. 👍

Couldnt agree more, mad to think that 19 is old but for a challenge like this youre looking for 2 16 years olds realistically.

Thats why I need the international job ASAP.

Reckon I can get close to 100 domestically and in europe (depending on kind fixtures).

Emil needs to get the finger out though, better be pushing 50 this year or in trouble already

Season 2

Seeing small progress.

Really finding mentoring challenging after the patch. They seem to fall out all the time.

So not getting the development I would have expected out of both, especially Emil.

Still, goals on the up.

Rasmus = 80 = 148 / 1500 (1352 remaining)

Emil = 45 = 80 / 1500 (1420 remaining)

 

Got a terrible tie in the champs league, drawn against inter, psg and dortmund. Finished 4th on goal difference.

So fewer games this year but more goals, going on the right direction.

Neeed the Denmark job now.

Got the Ghana jib and won African Cup, pretty straight forward although did need extra time to see off Egypt. 

Season 3 aim is just to build the team a bit more. Obviously I've restricted myself more than I should have by only using Danish players but made good money this season wheeling and dealing so hopefully splash a bit on upgrades in certain areas.

Season 3 Results

Very meh season.

Tried to tweak my tactics in the hunt for more goals but did more damage that good.

Must have rolled a dud this save with Emil because he is not developing half as good as he did in my test save!

 

I must say I am a fan of the new Champions League  set up, more games and more chance of progression post Christmas.

Sadly went out to Liverpool 6-5 after extra time in the round of 16.

Smashed the league, probably would have got more goals but both my wingers spent time in the physio room more than once.

 

Anyway, we keep going.

Season 4 I can definitely see Rasmus smashing 100.

Emil, I just don't know.  Needs to be pushing 50 at least!

 

Rasmus = 77 = 225 / 1500 (1275 remaining)

Emil = 39 = 119 / 1500 (1381 remaining)

 

Still no sign of the Denmark job, they must really love their manager.

Saw he was insecure so declared my interest, Celtic board not too pleased with that.

That bug has been around for years.

If anyone should be upset surely it should be the National team I am already manage not my Domestic team?

U score plenty every Season!! 1 drawback i noticed of using through ball tactics Strikers rarely reach 20 Aerial... If u use Run at defence with TF PF strikers  easily reach 20 Aerial by the end of 1st Season..

Not necessarily, I don't use through balls, I use run at defenders.

And retake between TF & PF, have dabbled with P & CF but usually go for TF & PF.

I'd say the team completes about a quarter of the crosses attempted, just can't seem to finish enough of the chances we make

Season 4 Results

 

Big improvement on goals this season, but I want (need) more!!

Both of the lads seem to have peaked regarding their development, which is a bit of a shame as Emil just hasn't kicked on like I was hoping.

Better numbers from him this year though as I reverted back to my original tactics after tweaking them last season.

 

Domestically we dominate again, its becoming a little repetitive in the Scotland now, as expected.

Continentally we struggled a bit with a rough run of fixture but made it to the round of 16 again, where, you guessed it, Man United were waiting for us.

Drew 0-0 at home but lost 3-2 at Old Trafford.

 

Internationally we are currently in the 3rd round of the World Cup with Spain, up against Denmark.

Hopefully we pump them and they sack their manager, but it has been 3 seasons too late, as I would have liked the job after the 1st World Cup.

 

Moving forwards I don't think I'll bother with the transfer details, you know the script by now.

Sign bosmans, loan them out, sell them.

 

For season 5 I'd like Rasmus to break the 100, but he is currently out for a month so this may affect his development slightly.

For Emil I'd like 75 but its a big ask, Rasmus is much stronger in the air so it seems to challenges for the majority of crosses, begs the question of where Emil disappears to though when this is happening?

 

Rasmus = 93 = 318 / 1500 (1182 remaining)

Emil = 56 = 175 / 1500 (1325 remaining)
