How do you manage players who have past their prime and are already declining

• Sell (my most common option)
• Offer a coach / scout / physio role
• Use as mentors
• Use as squad / 2nd team players
• Use as 1st team Captain for leadership (my favorite option)

Thanks I'll try it out, I have also have a player who is really declining at a fast rate, he's lost his first team status, he's now a squad player, sometimes he plays for the reserve team. What's you take on players who decline at a fast rate?

Same options as I suggested above. Whichever you pick depends on the player, your squad and how you like to play FMM.

Back in FMM18, I bought + kept a fast declining Jordan Henderson (originally from the Sunderland academy) in my Sunderland squad until he couldn’t run any more, then he became my Assistant Manager! Purely because it felt right.

Hello, I had Gotze at Eintracht (injury prone, declining, lazy) with a 6 months injury. Physically he had not recovered anymore. But I kept him and let him play with the reserves to train for some cup matches, even 20 30 min, and he created some pure diamonds out of it as a Trequartista. 

It depends on the role. I experienced goalkeepers that, with decision and leadership, go beyond their limits at the age of 39 40 with almost a negative stamina...
