I want to ask

If I eventually suscribe to Netflix and then download the game but I no longer suscribe for the next months would my game be inaccessible or what?

From what we know - once you're not subscribed anymore you won't be able to play the game anymore. It won't stop immediately as it only checks in with Netflix from time to time (we don't know if it's once a day or once a week or what), but it will stop.

Hopefully they are smart enough to allow the phone to keep saved data in the event someone resubscribes down the line.

Better be once a week I have a 9 hour flight in February 😆 🤣 😂

I have a Netflix account but don't really have any interest in mobile gaming (apart from FMM) so it's all new to me.

  1. There is a 'games' tab on the Netflix app
  2. Clicking the link takes you to the Play store, the game name has 'Netflix' in there somewhere
  3. Install as normal.  I opened the app in airplane mode, so at least it doesn't check everytime you open the app

The games all look like standard freebie mobile games, so even if you're heavily into mobile gaming I can't see anything that would be of much interest.

Netflix is Netflix, really - if you aren't subscribed already you don't have any interest, and it would be foolish to subscribe solely for FMM.

I bought Oxenfree back in the day before it was on Netflix and it was pretty good. So I'll give Oxenfree 2 a go sometime (already have Netflix). But none of the other games appeal.

Netflix is finally worth getting :D

Shame i already have them on DVD and Blu-ray.....Oh and the Blu-ray's are signed by Kevin Conroy RIP ❤️

AHH I hate digital media with a burning passion.

I absolutely adored Oxenfree, it really surprised me how much I enjoyed it, one of those games that stays with you after the credits. I beat it in one sitting, yeah I knew it was short but I also didn't want to turn it off.

A few other games somewhat appeal like Into The Breach is meant to be awesome, but I don't want to play these titles on mobile. I only got Oxenfree on Switch as it was dirt cheap and highly regarded so I got it for free with coins iirc

I'll get to Oxenfree 2 at some point but as I've said before I'm iffy with digital media so I'm never in a rush for said titles. I missed Oxenfree physically as Limited Run did it (screw them too tbf) so I'm hoping someone does a collection of 1+2 physical.

Sperăm că sunt suficient de inteligenți pentru a permite telefonului să păstreze datele salvate în cazul în care cineva se reabonează pe linie.

If you decide to restart your subscription, you will then be able to continue where you left off (note that this only applies if you leave the app installed or you export/back up the save files.)

They said they were gonna reveal the new features for FM 24 Mobile on Oct 23rd, but haven't seen anything till now.

Doesn't look like they really taking FM Mobile serious again.

That’s says they will reveal the features this week not specifically yesterday. They revealed console today and are saying later in the week for mobile…

They’ve been announcing the console version today (with some great addition there!). Mobile will come later this week.

It's frustrating to wait every year until the last week for new features to be revealed. Better not give them anymore and we find out everything on the game release day by playing it, a week wait is not long. I think it's the only game on earth with such a policy.

I do hope they really add some nice new features to FMM24 and not another copy and paste from FMM23 with different skin cuz it seems that's what they've been doing for tye past few years with FM Mobile.

I doubt we'll get much, and what we will get won't work for 2/3 months.

CM01/02 mobile addition with squad updates is all I want

Might just go for the console version when it comes out.

I don't really have loads of time for a more immersive game but it's that or keep playing older versions of mobile I suppose.

From what I understand, and for me personally mind, it's the biggest let-down since I started playing this series. Looks like there's nothing really new, except fluff.

I wasn’t expecting much at all, but to call those “features” is a joke.

Posting my initial thoughts on the features here

Quote

PRE-MATCH HUB: Whether it's a title decider or a cup final, the new Pre-Match Hub will give you key insights before big games to help outsmart your rivals.

We already get it in the inbox, so I guess they moved it? Hopefully they meant improved it and moved it to a Hub

Quote

ENHANCED MATCH EXPERIENCE: New in-match notifications will make it easier than ever to change your setup when your team needs it most.

Maybe some people might need it? I do recall it being an absolute joke in the PC version, Captain Obvious tier advice. Hopefully they implement it well

Quote

POST-MATCH HUB: Get an overview of how the game went, with key information available to digest straight after full-time.

Errr we already do have it in the post-match report? 🤔

Quote

EFFORTLESS ONBOARDING: From tactics to transfers, get to grips with the world of football management with refreshed in-game guidance.

Oh a better tutorial? Possibly good, I wouldn't call it a feature but this remains to see

Quote

NEW REPUTATION TITLES: Earn reputation titles as you progress through your career based on your tactical approach, personality and transfer decisions.

I don't think this should even be classed as a feature, this is probably closer to an achievement screen with additional flavour text

Now these are the on-the-fence changes for me

Reading the rest of the article, it seems like they've bolstered some of the tutorials and pre-made tactics. Not exactly a feature for the more experienced, but this is always welcome. Still though, without seeing it this remains to be judged

Amidst the fluff of new screens, post-match talking and revamped layouts, I did gleam 1 possible implied feature

Quote

Player Knock

I'm pretty sure players who got knocks with the green plus sign used to just be forced to be taken off, and we get the relief of finding out the injury was a minor one post-match. Unless this replaces those instances where it says the players got a knock, and their condition just goes down? That happens as well

This could be a positive change, but this is the only substantial gaming feature of those that are announced. Hopefully more info to be announced before release

Quote

If your team are desperate for a goal in the dying embers of the game and you get a late corner, the option to send your keeper forward will appear – will you take the risk or play it safe?

Decent change, will have to see how that plays out in the match engine. Happens often when something new is added to the match engine, the last few changes like this have left much to be desired. Set-piece changes and team talks come to mind

Quote

You’ll also be given the chance to change your penalty taker if their body language is poor, if they haven’t scored in a while or if a non-designated taker is on a hat-trick – after all, who would want to deny them that glory?

This one is appreciated, I'd personally prefer if they left the body language out and just allowed us to change set-piece instructions midmatch though. If I recall composure isn't even an attribute they port over from the PC version, so I wonder what will the game use to calculate the penalties

Now for the negatives

Quote

A REVAMPED INTERFACE FOR SQUAD AND TACTICS

494886907_SquadandTactics2.thumb.jpg.168a88b4bcb2d7858dd26ad0b8f65a99.jpg

I know they've gone and brand their entire image and brand with this (imo) awful purple colour. The existing tactics screen was the nicest screen for me, and any "reworked design for the Squad and Tactics screen" that adds even more of that purple to it will be a negative to me

In conclusion with the current announced features and if there is no further announcement, I will be awaiting others to review the game. Definitely not an immediate swap from FMM23

Marc Vaughan provided a bit of info on other changes

"It might interest some people to know that as well as the announced features there will (as usual) be a number of other enhancements present such goal droughts (and related media/effects), the expansion of the game database size (and more national teams manageable because of it) and the optimization of the game engine to make it even faster - these aren't 'exciting' but will help make the game more enjoyable for a people "

Tracking those stats are always welcome, but I hope they upgrade all the stats screens. Also I swear there was 1 edition where they tracked clean sheets rather than conceded for goalkeepers, then they just went back to conceded for some reason

As for more national team, international management has always been a sore point even for FM. I think this is good, but I won't expect much considering this is a point of contention even on FM

Smoother game engine I'm not sure about, I never really had issues with it. Then again, this is something that's a wait and see

I agree with almost everything said.

Football Manager Mobile 2024 falls short of its potential. The lack of a 3D match engine, women's leagues, and more leagues is disappointing. The £60 Netflix price tag for minimal updates feels unjustified. Despite this, I'll likely still play the game due to having Netflix but very much hope for a better version next year.

What a shock.

Even more reason to avoid it now. Definitely leaning towards giving the console one a go. That's apparently stripped back from the full fat version so maybe I'd not need loads of time to play it.

I've been playing touch on Switch for 3 years now and I can highly recommend it. Pc version is too much, but touch and console are highly enjoyable
