I found heading to be way my striker scores most. The WB’s will chuck in crosses and he will head them in.

Who is the striker and what is their heading attribute?

The striker will never be a 100 goal a season type record breaker using this tactic however. But as a whole, it’s the most complete and consistent tactic Ive used for the past 2x FMMs.

I chop and change between these three as I keep trying to find the right one. They go through spells where they score then goal droughts. So didn’t know what to do really

My view is that the Korean guy is probably the best suited to this tactic (assuming you are playing them as PF and have left the tactic as is it designed (I.e. using WB’s with good crossing). Their Teamwork attribute isn’t that great though which is an important one for the PF. I’ve found that is best boosted with some mentoring which at 23, you only have a little time left to do it!

For comparison, this is the player that has performed best in any of my saves using this tactic:

 

I’m 99% sure it’s Diego Costa’s regen and you will note that he averages 25~30 goals per ~40 games. Which is a good return but not world breaking. However his Av R is about ~8 and he chips in with a good amount of assists too. He could play more (and score more) but I too rotate between him, Suarez’s regen and Lewandowski’s regen.

Both my IF’s get ~25 goals per season as does my RP.

It’s pretty easy (sadly - as it makes the game much easier 😂) and there’s lots of info dotted around this forum which explains it if you search around. But basically a regen of a player will appear a season or two (occasionally longer) after the original has retired. They ALWAYS have the EXACT same strong foot/weak foot ratings as the retired player, are ALWAYS a natural in (at least one of) the same natural position(s) as the retired player and, where applicable -  ALWAYS have the “dead ball specialist” note IF the retired player had it. They USUALLY (but not always) are from the same country (In one of my saves Salah’s regen was Irish 😂) and USUALLY have similar specific attributes like Technique and Ariel. 

This makes it fairly easy to find regens of players such as Courtois (Left footed/Belgian/GK) but still a challenge to find regens of players like John Stones (Right footed/English/CB).

Sorry but that's nonsense. Before you moan and complain, maybe try looking at what you're doing with your players in the roles as a start point.

As a starting point here do you have a weak set of defenders? Is your keeper poor? Does your striker suit being a PF?

The tactic absolutely does work and I've personally never had an issue with it at any club. 

There's also pages full of evidence here to show that it works.

It may be the way you're using it.

This is one of the most balanced popular tactics available in the game. It’s been thoroughly used AND systematically tested.

So you have broadly two options - if you want to use a tactic, but it’s not working well for you:

• Ask for Advice - post screenshots of your players, your tactic, and your position in the league table. Then we can give you advice on what’s wrong + how to improve.  
   
• Tweak the Tactic - if you’re using a weak squad, then maybe you’ll need to tweak the tactic to make it more defensively solid (e.g. use a sweeper + normal DC, plus change your WBs to FBs) … and/or if you’re using slow DCs, then use a ‘normal’ defensive line … or if you’re using a low-aerial ST, then have 1x IWB and a central passing focus. Tweaks should make the tactic more effective for YOUR players.

Just some friendly advice 🙂

hi  dan, im following your advices in the forum, i have a question, some tip for create a tactic? personally i want a goalie tactic, doesnt matter if i have bad defense, i want more than 100 goals for season

Unfortunately I’m not very good at high goal-scoring tactics. 

My suggestion is either ti search around the forum … or to look at the 235 I tested from @sscout
