Tactics Franky's SLICK Tactic - 94% win rate 😳

FINAL EDIT 09/6/24: After the last update, it appears that my other tactics have become less effective but this one has actually improved. Therefore, I'm abandoning all the other ones and sticking with this........ so yeah, ignore all the other ones I've uploaded, this is the one to go with!!
 
MAJOR UPDATE 14/2/24: Just had a week off work so was able to invest some time in the game and my conclusion is that the tactic should be used as a plug and play with CONTROL mentality. If you've already downloaded it, just change the team mentality to CONTROL and save the tactic as there's no other changes. If you're downloading it for the first time, you can do so by clicking on the download link just below the final screenshot at the end of this post.

The results achieved in the screenshots with Man Utd were done so by switching between ATTACKING and CONTROL depending on the match odds but United are an elite team with several world class players, however the same does not apply to 95% of teams that others will be managing so from my play test with a couple of weaker teams, it's apparent that CONTROL mentality is the way to go as it allows for greater possession, more control and more selective progressive passing and shooting with the overall results just being better for teams that don't have an abundance of world class players and even if you do, it still works great.

NOTE: Once downloaded, export a current tactic from within the game and your phone/tablet will create a new folder, after which you just copy and paste the downloaded tactic into that folder. Then simply import it from the tactics screen and you'll have it in your game. However, if you're still having trouble with importing the tactic (as many have reported), obviously just copy the instructions and if you want to implement the highly tweaked defensive and attacking set-piece instructions, just scroll down on this page until you get to the screenshots.

INTRO/PLAYERS REQUIRED......... With one of the major updates, I've noticed some anomalies with my two previous tactics and they aren't as effective as they were BEFORE the update so I've created a new one that works brilliantly in producing mesmerisingly slick (hence the name) and intricate passing in the final third. There's very little wide play and the attacks are focused through the middle. This is higher scoring than my two previous tactics and incredibly consistent. The heartbeat of the team is the DMC who needs to have good creativity, passing, tackling and positioning but most importantly strength and aggression as he often holds the ball up to assess options, allowing opposition midfielders that split second to get challenges in. If he has high strength/aggression, he can hold off those challenges, allowing him to either retain possession or win free kicks. A weak DMC will be a liability so make sure to get this position right (strength is an absolute necessity, aggression not as much). You'll also need a decent all round striker, a big/strong target man type like Hoijlund works really well as does a quick, flair type like Rashford. All four defenders need to be quick due to the high defensive line and the right sided centre back should be the better header of the two as he's the main goal threat from attacking corners. Work rate is very important for the three midfielders and the striker as a lot of running is required in these positions so look for 'hardworking' in the player personality details and/or coach report. Have your midfielders train 'shooting' as all three will be getting plenty of shots off.

STYLE OF PLAY........... It's a 'control possession' tactic where the inverted wing backs come infield and combine with the three midfielders to create an overload in the central area between the opposition box and the centre circle. This allows for increased passing options within that central zone that are utilized to patiently probe until a through ball opportunity opens up for a forward pass. Once that happens, the inverted wing backs will sit and act as holding midfielders to defend against the counter and the three midfielders will rush forward to support the attack........... it's a pass and move style tactic that creates wonderful passing plays to open up defences.

TACTIC USAGE.......... It's a plug and play tactic and the only in-game change you need to make if you want to see the game out is to use the 'time wasting' option at any point from the beginning of the second half in order to frustrate the opposition. Defensive and attacking set pieces are tweaked so to get the best out of the tactic, you'll have to download it from the link below. Corners should ideally be inswinging only.

RESULTS........... In my second season with Man Utd, won everything with a win percentage of 94% (played 67/won 63/drawn 4/lost 0) which is easily higher than I've ever had before. Dominated every single game, trust me you will absolutely love this tactic AND the style of play!!

Very similar tactic to the one I posted, they both work wonderfully, mine has bit of a particular formation but it's not a big change

What is your tactic called?....... ignore that. Just had a look and yes there are similarities. Thing with FM Mobile is there will be lots of similarities amongst tactics due to the lack of variation in instructions. It's my first attacking mentality tactic for FM24, previous two were control but I'm liking the attacking mentality much more. Did you create yours after the December update or before?

I created it before the update but it's still working well.

Although my team seems not to do really well in preseason/earlyseason and will start performing after 2/3 matches but it's not a big issue

2. Directory----> Android/Documents/Sigames/Tactics

3. Open game and on tactics page click action then load tactic where you'll find import tactic

Just updated the tactic usage in the original post to the following........

TACTIC USAGE (very important)...... this is a highly attacking tactic for teams that are pre-match favourites so pay attention to the pre-match odds. Whenever you are NOT pre-match favourites, switch team mentality to 'Control' and leave it there for the full 90 minutes. This will allow you to have better control of games where the opposition are the better team.

Sure. Screenshots don't show the instructions for both the wing backs from attacking set-pieces but they are 'stay back if needed' except for attacking corners from both sides, where they are 'stay back'.

Fair to say that this is tactic is incredible. 
 

undefeated with Leicester in the league, only defeats were 1-0 to Tottenham in Carabao and 1-0 to Man City in FA Cup.

Yes sure. You're not gonna get everything all the time but specific attributes to prioritise are as follows...........

GK - kicking
DR - pace, tackling, passing, positioning
DC - pace, tackling, passing, positioning, aerial, strength
DMC - passing, tackling, positioning, creativity
BBM - passing, shooting, movement, creativity
IF - pace, dribbling, shooting, movement, creativity
ST - pace, shooting, movement, creativity, aerial

Technique, teamwork for all
Stamina for all except GK & DC

To be honest, other than kicking for the keeper, these attributes are what you'd be looking for irrespective of the tactic you're using.

hi franky have used your tactics with Liverpool. It's really powerful! But I have problems with my wingers. They don't add much in the way of points. Have you possibly tried with 2 forwards and a treqarista or SS? If it would work? Or if you only use 2 midfielders?

I took a quick try in a new save, I started without any job until december, then I signed for Vis Pesaro (italian serie C), in the last position (20th). After fix something on transfer market (picking some low budget free players) with this tactic  I reached 10th position with only two losses (in the first game and in the play off, both of the them against bigger teams).

In the new season, I simple add from free transfers two good new IFs and some players in the midfield and defense, to apply better rotation in the squad. Here in the screen the results (I followed the instructions about odds and mentality). I won also italian serie C cup. Observing the matches, I think that IWBs and RP are the focal points. Great tactic!!!

Having 2 forwards and an AMC would give the opposition too much freedom on the flanks, especially as the tactic does not use conventional wing backs. It would also congest the central attacking area too much and we'd have to compensate by using conventional wing backs, which would totally alter the dynamic of the attacking play. One of the things that IFs do is keep a check on the opposition full backs when they push forward.

As for using just two midfielders and disposing of the DMC, again that would totally alter the attacking play as well as get rid of the defensive shield in front of the defence and you'd concede a lot more goals....... for me, a DMC is a must for defensive solidity.

It's always gonna be a struggle against the elite teams. The only solution is to keep upgrading your players and getting rid of the deadwood. First season in the Prem is always difficult unless you just focus on loan signings, 4 long term domestic (I recommend any four from Franca, Chukwuemeka, Doak, Lavia and Livramento) and raid Barca B and a few others for a season long loan of several quality youngsters like Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, Bynoe-Gittens etc. I did this in my Wycombe save and finished 2nd in the first season, then won the Prem in the second season. However, it gets a bit too easy so have gone back and in the middle of playing that first season in the Prem again with no loan signings whatsoever, I'm loving it as it's a real challenge and every victory is so satisfying. After 26 games played, sitting 6 points above the relegation zone, hoping to avoid relegation and strengthen in the summer, then kick on next season. Playing with no loan signings feels authentic and like I said, every win is extremely satisfying.

Again, there is no magic formula except for upgrading your players every summer when you get some money to spend. Also keep an eye out for quality free transfers.

To be honest, might be worth switching team mentality to balanced instead of control when the opposition are pre match favourites and leaving it there for the full 90 minutes. If you try it, let us know how you get on. I'm actually gonna try it myself and will report back,

If I remember correctly, the game was updated in December. Could have been late November but I can definitely remember there being an update via the Play Store. If you go to the Play Store and update your apps, it will get updated if it hasn't been already, although by now it should have been.
