Chat What threshold separates world class players from legendary?

I'm about 15 years into a career, and one of my first academy kids will likely be retiring soon. He has what I consider to be exceptional statistics --- 623 games played, 30 goals, 150 assists, and never a season below a 7.60 average rating. Plays RWB. 

 

Looking at Scalvini on my short list, I noticed that he recently was upgraded from "world class defender" to "legendary defender". I can't recall who it was, but I know there was a "legendary striker" as well. 

 

My question is: what exactly is required for a player to earn that title? I wanted to try to reach that for my guy, but I'm running out of time and I don't want to move forward without knowing what it takes to reach.
