And the most obvious club choice - Celtic

Spent a long time working on tactics and at a stage I'm happy with now, and +14 international goals in 6 games, so 520 in total. If I complete in 10 seasons then I'll be happy 😅

This was indeed THE best first season ever for me and i’ve played every FM since 03/04

 

Let’s dive into it

Transfers

my go to for the past 4 or 5 fmm’s right wing Pavon, CAM Zaracho and last two fmm’s CD Murilo. Other than that I’ve brought Bale 2.0 in January

Competitions went as planned: won all domestic cups and the league. With slightly bigger GD than expected

Knocked out of CL - expectedly but got in Europe League with fairly easy opponents up until semifinal… Didn’t even think about making it through, but 1-1 home and late goal away playing with only 10 men got me through PSG and the final was nowhere as hard as semi’s.

Ireland’s coach got sacked and of course I applied for the job not expecting to actually get it considering it’s my first save and I don’t even have a gold coaching badge. But hey, you never know

Overall team stats are solid with Pavon being an absolute goal providing machine - 56 assists. I think this is an all time record

Well see I’m one of those who believes that it’s not worth of gatekeeping the tactics to the game. Since everyone would get different results regardless 😉

Near post cross and put your guy to near post and keeping 2 in the back. Don’t change anyone else

Pavo is still best of the best provider with one of the CMs and RWB stepping up a bit. Left wing is my weak spot even though I got nicely looking Barco and Bale 2.0 there. They only did 24 assists vs 62 from right wing. Fair to say Pavon is on corners but they not as OP as they used to be

HELP NEEDED

ANYONE EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WHEN ONE WING OUTPERFORMED OTHER BY x3 TIMES

Good run up to semifinal and unfortunate loss to not that great side

That was something… 

Fairly easy group with 1 loss to Uruguay 0-1 by late goal from YNWA Nunez

USA, Morocco and Costa Rica…

That was pure luck getting weak teams up until Semi final where we faced Spain.

We were able to hold them off conceding a goal on 106th minute and a hero comeback from Evan 118th minute.

But he went from hero to zero in 3 minutes. He missed a penalty and we lost the shootout even though Kelleher saved 2 shots.

Well 3rd place face off with Germany which honestly I surprised to see this high up turner into massacre with Evan unleashing his anger after missed penalty and banging 4 goals

I mean I get that Evan scored a bit less and his average rating dropped to 8.98 but been excluded from World Best 11, really?

He didn’t progress at all, saying that he needs to play at higher level to progress…

Excuse me… UCL semis and WC semis not high enough?

116 club goals vs 117 last year but with 8 more games… and  17 international goals 

Side note: he won WC golden boot

decided not to bore anyone with whole post since it’s mostly regens at this point. 

So here it is:

Evan stopped progressing  

His club goals getting lower every year while international going up… 

114 + 21 

 

135 goals this season so total goal tally go up every year. Who knows maybe he’ll get 150 next year

 

TOTAL 521 goals and I am half way through the challenge in 4 seasons

Not all crosses are head height though, or lead to an attempted header as you could cross the ball with noone in the box, too far behind or too far infront of a player.

Anything below the head (and successful) could result in a shot attempt, a pass or a dribble. So I reckon it's unlikely the stats will give you that much detail?
