Tactics FB Gem #2

Hello again! Back with another gem of a tactic I found on Facebook. This time I took Wrexham for a season to see how things panned out.

Sugar daddy ✅

Abolish work permits ✅

In Game Editor ✅

In game editor is only toggled on so I can see the CA/PA of players - no changes are made. This is shown by the "edit" button being grey, when a change is made the "edit" button turns yellow.

I start the save with no badges and a gold coaching badge with motivational as the specialism. This tends to give Youth players some cracked personality traits I've found.

I always try and improve the facilities on day 1 and then try again in 6 months and same for my backroom staff - the screenshots below were all taken on the day before the new season starts.

I scout my players using the attribute search function and set for the roles I need a with a base of at least 11 (This changes as the game goes on to get better players). I also won't sign a player with less than a 3.5* PA rating at this level, again increasing as the save progresses naturally.

Funny tactic, very impressive that it's very simple score 3+ goals in a match. I tried in 10 games (8 wins, 2 defeats) in low category with average/top team and I noticed, exactly as you statistics, that you have to consider some defeats, even if your team plays better respect to opponents.

Yes, it's not a perfect tactic but it's certainly successful, I haven't tried it at a higher level yet but I might give it a test on a City save for a season and see how it goes.

I don't like to put a damper on things, but just seen your transfers, I think with the players you signed, any tactic would probably work. You spent nearly 10m, for a League 2 team, I think even in RL that probably wouldn't happen. And ovs the free transfers. I mean timo horn playing in league 2 🤣 as i say play the game you want to play, just doesn't really show anything, might be wrong, but I think others would agree

You can try the tactic out yourself with whichever variation of gameplay you'd like and get back to me and see how it performs for you if you'd like 😁

I'm always interested in seeing how others set up. I've got my own buddy, I'm always tweaking as it works with what I have. If I had sugar daddy or signed unrealistic targets, my own tactic would probably smash any team. As I say, play the game however you want, it's constructive criticism. I'm not having a pop at you, just with all those signatures, it makes the game to easy. It's easy enough as it is, played FM, Jesus 5/6 years now. I'm love being in a relegation battle myself, I sign the players I know within budget, makes the game more fun. It looks a pretty decent tactic, I just know with the players you have, it would work brilliantly

I actually think that tactics with unlockables shouldn’t be allowed, so many times I go to test a tactic and see that they’ve got players they shouldn’t have or the editor is on. One guy posted a tactic where Nicolas Jackson suddenly has 20 in everything and tried to claim it was training.

I also think they shouldn’t be allowed if it’s past the first season, this game becomes 10x easier in the second season if you play it right.

How many times has everyone tested a tactic and it bombs and loses 5-0

Yeah definitely 100 percent mate. Yeah I saw that lol I was like that is just so pointless. What I tend to with my games now, is I load up 5 nations, I've won everything there is to win, so I like to keep my way with this game. Like you says gets to boring winning all the time. So I go to a team that is really poor or struggling near relegation. Try and sign loans or freebies within budget, then once I've kept them up, might stay another season, and then move onto another relegation team. Keeps the fun in the game for me, not about winning absolutely everything, because it becomes so boring, I mean everyone is completely different to how they play the game. That's fair enough, just how I like to play the game. My favourite one this year is the Southend one, they start on minus 10 points, normally sack there manager after 20 odd games, and I work my magic

I actually really enjoyed reading through this and following the progress. Yes he's using Sugar Daddy but he's admitted to it from the start and if anything, with Wrexham, it's actually quite realistic as they are funded 10x better than the other clubs around them. 

 

I hope you miserable lot haven't put him off posting another update.

I’m not trying to dampen his day, but I could submit essentially any tactic with Wrexham in league 2 if I had sugar daddy and it’d probably work
