Tactics Box midfield and attacking overloads

The best tactic after studying different playing styles from different teams from pep's box midfield to Girona's one sided free play and xabi Alonzo's control the centre mentality.

The team doesn't have a particular target man as the attacking midfielder contributes more in goal and assist then the inverted wingers provide assist as well as score  goals how how the inverted full back drifts inside to form a double pivot with the center midfielder while the roaming playmaker advances forward to join the attacking midfielder (trequarista) in supporting the striker who plays as trequarista while the wingback advances forward to assist the right sided inverted winger and create two or three vs one situations with the center midfielder drifting inside to assist.

As you can see one side of the team is using a fluid for formation which allows the striker and the attacking midfielder as well as the left-sided inverted winger to exchange positions and to find the best opportunity at scoring which is why my striker (Endrick) has more assist.

However the tactics struggles against teams with a front three as the strikers overload the two central defenders.

But tends to score more goals against teams with a back three (the match vs Leipzig and vs lens).

Oh this is great, don't have much to add beyond that but I just had to say it.

Also here's a little tip about Liberos, they move up into the DM strata but only when the ball is in your own half. The moment it crosses over to the opposition half, they drop back to the DC strata.

Hmmmm looking closer at the Libero, why not swap him and the BPD? BPD on the left, Libero on the right. It's a bit wonky because you have a tiny bit of redundancy with both the IWB and the BPD on the same side, but I've been interested in taking advantage of the forward movement of a L+WB partnership on the side.

I had to use the one sided free play for Girona here

Originally it was a central defender but then the tactic wasn't fluid enough in one of my matches Endrick exchange positions with the inverted full back while defending and assisted the inverted full back to score  and originally it was a full back(on the right side) I used to retain the positionally play but I felt having a wing back as a wild card was best but im thinking of using a defensive full back to counter the 3 striker formation

( Tactical analysis on counter attacks why I chose a libero)

This tactic has worked wonders for my chelsea career so far….

i am in my second season and have only just tried this tactic out this season not the previous.

all i can say is for some reason this tactic works for my chelsea side,im no fmm expert i am pretty much a plug n play guy.

give it a try and hopefully it works as well for you as it has for me.
