Chat AI GAME

Recommended Posts

there's something not right. After many tactics and careers I can say that there is something wrong with the game's AI.

1) I use defensive tactics and at the end of the season my team has the best attack and conceded many goals but I win the championship.

2) I use offensive tactics and at the end of the championship my team has the best defense and I win the championship.

The two things do not coincide in reality. If I use offensive tactics I should score many goals but equally concede many goals. If I use defensive tactics I should score few goals and equally concede few goals. Everything, whether defensive, offensive, controlling, balanced, 3-man defense, 4-man defense or 5-man defense... always translates into having the best defense and winning the championship. All this regardless of whether I use a top team or a third-rate team. There is something wrong. It's as if the game was set to easy mode Independent of everything. Or the famous dialogues inserted, if managed well, are a real doping towards success. I remember that in previous editions, without dialogues everything was more difficult, or at least the performance was more balanced based on the real strength or weakness of the team.

Not necessarily. If you play defensively you’re sitting deep so when the opposition gets the ball off you, they’re near your goal and can score.
Equally if you’re attack minded and further up the pitch, it gives you more time to win the ball back and maybe not concede. Attacking also means more risky passes etc which lead to losing the ball more and being hit on the counter.
Not saying it all makes sense but there are lots of factors to be taken into account.

Also, that text is awful 😂

If you share your tactics, teams + league table - then we can have a look in more detail.

If not - then it sounds like you win the league almost EVERY time - yeah? If so, that sounds that you’ve got an overpowered squad - which can win with any sensible tactic? Have you tried playing as a relegation-threatened club, any playing with their original squad only (no transfers, no loans, no frees)? That’s much harder

Reposting this from a different thread …

For experienced players - I feel FMM is as easy (or difficult) as the challenges you set yourself.

Very Easy - take any string team, use a known tactic from the forums => you’ll succeed

Easy - take any weak team, rebuild the squad (inc. free loans), with a good tactic => you’ll eventually succeed

Harder - doing the same thing, but with ‘academy only’, or ‘only free transfers’, or ‘no transfers at all’, or ‘sell £100m net every season’, or other restrictions which make it harder. The more restrictions, the harder it is. (Edit: or try to achieve something hard like a 1k or 2k goal scoring challenge. The greater the achievement, the harder it is).

Very Hard - do ALL of the above, or make your own niche tactic (e.g. counter-attack style, long ball style, defender-less, etc)

GOAT - if all this is to easy, then try the ‘badges of honor’ challenges, or even (hold your breathe) the ‘FMM GOAT / greatest of all time’ Challenge’.

So it depends on what you want 🙂

Firstly - congrats on your success 👍

Secondly - I will happily assume you played fairly (e.g. didn’t use the editor, didn’t save / reload, etc) - as probably you would only post that ‘it’s too easy’ if you did it fairly.

Thirdly - you said no transfers in Serie B.

  • Do you mean ‘no transfers in’ at all in your whole save … or lots of transfers in Serie C but none in Serie B.
  • When you say ‘no transfers in’, do you mean no frees / no transfers / no loans / no greyed out players … or just no €€€ transfers.

Fourthly - that club were in Serie B the season before? Then they got surprisingly relegated? So you’ve got one of the stronger teams (top 4-5) in Serie C-B. Makes sense you’d do well, but winning the league is still impressive.

Lastly - if this is too easy for you - how about a more difficult save?

  • A relegation-favourite club,
  • and/or with no transfers / loans / frees at all,
  • and/or with a completely new tactic which you make yourself,
  • and/or with no badges / no coaching ability for yourself at all,
  • and/or with +1 of the scenarios loaded (austerity measures, asset strippers, injury crisis, etc)

I’d guess that would be MUCH more difficult 🙂

Hi dear, thank you for the replies. I am an expert player, you have known me here for 2 years but I come from years of fmPC at the time of Fifamanager, I have always created AiGame breaking tactics for the PC. I play with low profile manager settings, without editor, and I used the fm23 tactic that I created last year, the 4-3-3. It's probably a successful tactic for mobile, I don't know. What I analyzed showed that usually on fmmobile the top CPU teams in the various championships stand at 75/80 points at most, and the lower division teams at 65/70 points at most. Probably the CPU doesn't push these teams up in the rankings and for an expert player who scores +80 points everything becomes easy as he doesn't have competitors who reach +90 points. The CPU should push the teams it manages higher. Furthermore, in the English championship mcity scored 80 points, losing 7 matches. There is a tendency for the game to cause leading teams to lose excessively. A hypothesis that I have given myself is that I manage the training sessions personally and the results translate into too high growth of the players. As a rule, I make all my players rotate and this translates into an always high collective moral. I want to try to do a new experiment with Perugia, entrusting the training sessions to the (low profile) staff and experimenting with a more exposed and unbalanced tactic to opposing attacks to see if anything changes.

I'll do the experiment again. These are the settings. I have hired Motta as the second coach to whom I will entrust the training. I will develop a more unbalanced and offensive tactic and this time I will not change the tactical style from offensive or defensive or vice versa (depending on the various phases of the match) but I will try to always play with the style of the tactic that I am going to implement. Probably if we know how to read the various phases of the match and change the mentality of the team we will create an AI breakdown in the game. I want to avoid all this.
