Hello, Some of you may know me as your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman Viber known as Kanegan, also known as the man who starts with every new edition and then ghosts the forum for the entire year. Many of you may not know me at all but believe me, i am a veteran of Vibe although it may not seem like it. 😄

Well, I am back and for a change i am starting the new edition right in the middle of the year, so there are chances that i may stick with this till FMM 2025.

I was looking to start a new career which is long as has been the case with the last few editions and one challenge caught my eyes:

 

Although it is an old challenge, but i will be pursuing this one, although with a twist.

Here are the list of all time top goalscorers for Premier League clubs of 2023-2024 as per https://www.transfermarkt.co.in/

 

The aim is to create new legends at the maximum number of clubs before 30 seasons finish. I will try to go alphabetically wise but it may not be possible always. The list will be updated after every milestone, to capture the Premier League teams of that season.

So, starting alphabetically, i start with Arsenal and now presenting my new Henry,

The first milestone is to cross 228 goals @ Gpg of 0.6.

Moussa Diaby, our main man was bought from Aston Villa and he was a costly affair as we had to shell 77 mil. Pulisic was brought in as another wing option while Inacio and Foyth was brought in as our defending options.

 

Season History

We won the Premier League and Carabao Cup but exited the Champions League in Quarter Finals stage and also the FA Cup and Community Shield.

He had some great developments throughout the season with number of attributes increasing but Aerial did not increase a bit.

Diaby was very inconsistent throughout. When he was in his elements, he hit plenty but that was few and far in between. He kept missing chances in almost every match and got injured for three weeks although it was the only injury he had.

 

He only got 43 goals in the season.

Finally, we won the Champions League in addition to the usual League & Community Shield.

Man City continued to be our bogey team. They had now knocked us out of trophies 6 times in the last 5 seasons. We could only get a measure of revenge by winning the Community Shield twice against them.

Not much improvement with only Movement increasing by one point.

So, at Brighton had to add lot of personnel who would suit my formation. I changed my formation and tactics for Brighton and happy to say that it paid off.

What a season !!! Brighton won the League and Carabao Cup while also reaching the finals of FA Cup.

With just 12 goals to go, Leaburn knocked them out pretty early but no jobs were available so had to play for some time before we took on a pretty tough assignment, more on that later.

When we finished with Brighton, here's how we left them,

Third in Premier League with 22 matches played and placed in the top 8 of the CL league phase. In other words, a very strong position

Ok, so we moved on and took a rather challenging assignment and i may have shot myself in the foot with this one.

Norwich was languishing right at the bottom when i took over,

 

Norwich's all time top goal scorer is the charismatic Finn, Teemu Pukki who scored 88 goals from 210 matches @ GpG of 0.42

 

So, i need to find a player from Finland to knock off 89 matches @ 0.42 GpG. Who better than Pukki's regen?

 

We had to first survive this season and somehow, we managed to do it by the barest of margins:

Finishing in 17th, we just managed the drop and look who got relegated!! Complete shocker!!!

Brighton build on my successful start to win 3rd title in a row. Good to see AI not messing up.

Didn't get to finish the season as another interesting job came up and i had already completed my target at Norwich but managed to win the Carabao Cup, the first for Canaries since 1985.

Now for the hard part,

 

Tottenham's all time top scorer was of course, Lord Harry Kane (280 goals from 435 matches @ 0.64 GpG). And to make matters worse, in my quest to distance myself from picking regens wherever possible, i picked up quite a hard candidate:

Considering my average goal output per season which is between 40-45, i would require 5-6 season and this man will turn 33-34 by that time so i am already walking on a tightrope.

This is not going to be easy but it will be fun!!!!

Thanks mate. Ballard has been destructive in early half of the season hitting brace every second or third match but once January hits, he goes on a goalless spree, not hitting a goal for 4 - 5 matches. If he can continue or increase his early season average, then this will be gettable.

No point in mentioning transfers as most of them are regens at this point.

 

Season History

We won the UEFA Super Cup for the first time and won the league for the 4th consecutive year but lost everything else as this was a freakishly bad season in terms of trophies. The Club World Championship is on overlap so the knockout stages will be played next season.

In what was probably the last season at Tottenham, we won everything except the FA Cup where we lost to Brighton in the final. Also, almost went undefeated in the league again but Liverpool beat us in the last match of the league to put a dent to that.

Before we delve into the season, had a funny thing that happened. Since i left Tottenham, they replaced me with Erling Haaland as manager. Not bad managerial stats and he is also a Big Spender!!
