Which club / league are you managing in?

  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 VNS / VNL - then a player with all 10’s would probably be one of the best in the league, or a player with 12’s in key attributes would probably be one of the best in his position.
  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Premier League - a player with all 14-15’s would be a solid first team player for a top 4 club; or a player with 17’s in key attributes would probably be one of the best in his position.

Firstly age is important. Players under 23 (or under 25) years old are more likely to grow / improve more.

Secondly personality helps. An unprofessional, lazy player is less likely to develop to their best. However I say this only ‘helps’ because you can improve young players personalities using mentoring.

Thirdly about the stars - are you using the scouts star ratings or the editors star ratings?

  • Scouts - the better your scout (ideally ‘gold’) the more accurate their report. However the stars are RELATIVE to your club’s players and the leagues average. So a Man Utd scout may call Jordan Henderson a 2 or 3 star player, but a non-league club would call him a 5 star player
  • Editor - these are always accurate + a NOT relative to your league, I.e. they are absolute. A 5 star potential player is one with 180-200 PA (out of a max 200). A 4 star potential player is one with 140-160 PA. However CA/PA don’t always translate to a good attribute mix (like defenders with 2 positioning) and so it’s only a guide on how much they can grow. How much they will grow + how good they’ll be depends on their age, their personality, and how you develop them

Does this help? 🙂

Hello DanEnglish

Can explane final third in tactic

Actually, I'm confused, for example, running at defense or through balls is applied to which players? and what effect does it have? Honestly, I'm looking for a tactic to score the most goals with inside forwards

Sorry for my language, I hope you understand

Good questions. Most of us ‘don’t know’ the actual answers - does it only affect your attackers, or all your players? Don’t know.

However this is what I ‘think’ it does:

So ‘cross early’ = more crosses … ‘look for overlap = cross less (more passes) … etc

Edit - personally with IFs I often use ‘work into box’ and ‘run at defense’ selected
