Challenges 200

Back, potentially, after an extended break.

 

What better way to get back into things than going for a ridiculous challenge.

 

But.......... before we start, has anyone actually achieved this.

 

My thoughts are, 1 player, 200 goals, 1 season.

 

Can it be done?  Has it been done??

 

Open to suggestions of player and league, but lets face it, like always it will probably be Celtic.

Let me hear your thoughts on this before I start

Like are you for real?

200 Goals for 1 player in 1 season?

I mean I think it is possible if anyone can truly break game engine then I can happen because if 1 player can score 160-170 goals in a season then why not 200 goals?

But for it you need luck and have a team of World class players and let them play against school boys team then it can happen imo.

Otherwise if you are doing this challenge then I am following you along.

Never said it was going to be easy.

Plus I haven't played the game in about 6 months so forgotten half my old tricks.

 

Want to give something special a go before the next version comes along.

 

Reckon you could play on average about 60 games a season on in.

3.33 goals a game average, surely its possible 🤔

Yeah it is possible.

But your biggest enemy will be injuries. I hope they did not come along but who knows when it will come and for how long.

You are saying you have forget half of your tricks but I am sure if everything goes according to your plan then you will complete this challenge.

before it was possible on football manager 2022 thanks to the set-pices glitch 😂

But now it's impossible to exceed 70 goals

For those who have succeeded and exceeded the 100 goals with one player, What tactics did you use?

I think Mikey moor can achieve 200 goals !!! He rarely injured and has very good PA !!! + He has very good creativity!!!

Never used Moore before,

The major problem getting him would be his transfer fee, those English clubs hate selling players!!

Season 2

Progressing well.

Massive jump in stats when he hit 18.

Brought it some decent players but mainly been saving money to splash out on regens / newgens. 

Once they arrive we should hopefully see a bit jump in his numbers.

Still thinking with the set up too.

Hopefully settled now so going to stuck with what I've got for next season and see if there's a noticeable improvement.

That was FMM22 which was arguably easier...

I have two careers going on at the moment trying out a new tactic in 24, but I'm not playing much right now. 

First one, going well with Sesko at Newcastle (harder league, but Sesko is still great):

 

Then this one with van Persie at Celtic (he's much younger than Sesko, will probably take a few seasons to start getting higher totals):

Yeah man, FM22 was the business man, nearly anything was achievable in that game.

 

Might go back after I (hopefully) complete this one and see what can be done there.

 

Miss that game, was much more fun.

 

Absolutely smashing it with Sesko 94 league goals is crazy!!!

Haven't actually tried him in this version, looks good, good smashing it

Season 3

Going in the right direction.

Bit concerned that his development through game time stopped around Christmas time.

Guess that's the down side of playing in a lower league.

Nevermind, we crack on.

Signed a boat load of bosman players so will be looking to ship them out.

Got about a £250 million war chest so looking to overhaul the team a bit for season 4.

If only we could play the likes of East Stirling every week this challenge would be over in no time.

Season 4

Tally improving more.

Brought in some new signings to help boost his numbers.

12 in one game definitely helped.

Made the decision for next season to play him less. 

He is struggling with his fitness playing every game so this year I am going to play him for 90 minutes against weaker opposition and when we don't have 2 or 3 games a week against stronger teams.

 

At a point now that my 2nd 11 is equally as good as my 1st so rotation shouldn't be an issue.

 

Landed the turkey job also so he won't be playing 90 minutes every game for them either so this should boost his club game time instead. 

That's the theory behind it anyway.

Guess time will tell if it works out or not.

New set up seems to be working.

Plenty goals when he's playing 90 mins.

Unfortunately my second string 11, which I thought was decent, are getting pumped in the champions league

Season 5

Back to the drawing board.

Just didn't play in enough games to get the goals required. 

 

Will reevaluate my approach in the upcoming season.

Think this year's version your going to struggle getting 200, even Wales and Ireland. Good numbers still though buddy

Think you're right. Maybe I'll have to drop down a league or two. 

Things are going OK so far this season.

Hoping the world club tournament is on this season so we can get a few extra games in

The aerial attribute only went up 1 point, his mentor is Carrillo, any advice to improve that section would be great
