Tactics Killer IWB SS Tactic - Aberdeen win 2025 Champions League

No new FMM2025. Bored. What to do. I'll create a weird new tactic!

This tactic started out at West Ham, and as you know West Ham have rubbish aging strikers and even more rubbish even older wing backs. So I thought I'd create a tactic where I could use Kudus or Bowen as a Shadow Striker and sell my aging assets to reinvest in some Inverted Wing Backs (Tip: loan enquiries converted to a sale always works well when selling old rubbish on high wages).

We won everything, League, Domestic Cups, Europa. In Season 2 more and easier, won Champions League too. West Ham were massive, everywhere we go'ed.

Blimey I think, I might have fluked myself a killer tactic.

So off I trot to Aberdeen to test it with a weak team that is expected to win nothing.

Season 1 Scottish League, all Scottish Cups and Europa. Season 2 win it all again, but easier, and Champions League.

An admission, I did use Sugar Daddy at Aberdeen. Honestly, I had too, Aberdeen were that bad and that poor. But I only bought kids, and all of them were Scottish. Ben Doak, Elliot Anderson, Max Johnston etc,. The longer term plan is I get the Scotland national team job and see if I can win with them, so my entire squad is Scottish and mostly kids - alas I haven't been offered the Scotland job yet, I'll let you know if that changes. Also another admission, it's possible these players only came to me because my Manager credentials are top and include the titles Star Maker and Trophy Hoarder.

That all said, Aberdeen, Champions League in 2 Seasons, with only predominantly Scottish youth players, come on, tell me what's not to love about that!

Anyway, here is the tactic. Try it. It's free. Have fun. Enjoy your trophies. OK, go...

10 games at Celtic, dashed off to check what you said, all auto-picked, no subs, no nothing...

That leaves me thinking you've possibly done something wrong, maybe missed a setting or something. Or you are doing things that made the team worse than if you had done nothing. Or you are trolling this thread for reasons best known to yourself.

Control rather than Attack is the only change I make against tough opposition.

But I find that once the players get connected to each other with stronger relationships through playing together regularly, then leaving it on Attack is just fine.

any real difference if I use a AF?

I haven’t tried it as the initial idea here was to play without a striker, but it is pretty solid in terms of low goals conceded, good possession and high number of shots, so it could work. Try it and see, and please do share your findings.
