Still can't believe my defender won a world footballer of the year😂. I'm doing a set of youth players similar to Man Urd class of '94. Something like that, this guy's one of them Jermaine Parker. And he just recently won the most prestigious award in the game😂. I started as a motivational coach. So all my youth players get solid mentals at the start.

Thoughts?

What is your tactic ?

I have varieties of tactics. But I play ball playing defenders instead of central defenders. My tactics last season used 2 IWBs, 2BPDs, 2CMs, an AP, 2IWs and either a target forward or complete forward, a 4231

IW-inverted Winger

IWB- Inverted wingback

BPD-Ball Playing Defender

CM- normal center mid

But, I feel the tactic that really exercised my center backs passing ability was the 442. I play fullbacks(Fb) on each side, 2BPDs,  WMs(wing midfielders) on each side, normal CM in the middle, and 2 forwards. 1 target forward, and 1 complete forward, or 2 complete  Forwards.

WMs are better on the midfield wing because they can drift inside and score instead of just staying wide, compared to playing Wingers on the midfield sides

Mentality: attacking

Creative freedom: expressive

High defense line, offside trap, normal tacking aggression.

My instructions for final third are: early crosses, work ball into box, and run at defense.

I use run at defense because my squad has good dribbling. Most of my attacking players have at least 15 in dribbling and more. So that they don't always pass the ball. They'd take on defenders some times, find spaces, and shoot or pass. They still pass the ball though, but it encourages the player to try breaking the defense instead of passing through balls all the time, and giving possession to thr opposition.

Early crosses works well with run at defense. Run at defense doesn't just have to do with dribbling. I think it relates to offball movements too. As the attacking players will run directly at the defense to confuse them. Early crosses makes the long pass from my full backs arrive on time. Most times for my tactics it leads to goals.

And works ball into box maximized my chances, there will be some long shot chances, but it just makes sure that my players aren't always shooting the ball at every Chance.

My ball playing defenders benefit from this tactics cos, there's usually spaces between the wide midfielders and the CMs. The WMs stretch the defense to the side. So the CMs and take on opposing defending players one on one. My BPD, and slickly thread a through pass from the gap btw the WM and CM to my ST. I play Complete forwards cos they are 'Complete'

They pull to the side to respond sometimes, or rush into goal scoring opportunities. Since I have the run at defense, they don't have to always pass the ball in the final third. They can dribble through. My CF retreats in midfield, BPD threads a long pass and he picks it up, rushes through the defense and scores.

When I buy a young defender, I train him as a CD first. Make sure he's got the potential. So as to maximize his physical abilities like aerial, strength, pace, stamina, positioning. Then I send them on loan, they grow very well. A season or two later. I retrain them as a BPD with key training on dribbling and shooting instead of passing(as training as a BPD directly trains their passing). I give them out on loan, or just keep in my team if they're really good and I need rotation players. By the time they're in their 22s, they'd have developed all-round. That's what I did with Jermaine Parker, but instead I didn't send him on loan. I think this wards was supposed to go to my Brazilian forward. He's 22 now, I'll mentored all his mentals including: Determination, Capable under pressure, Consistency, Professionalism. He's literally described as a 'Determined Leader'. He won the world cup with Brazil too 2030. Im surprised he didn't win it. But I think it's because he was on a 'backup' contract (he still doesn't want to renew it😓), and Jermaine was a 'key player'.

Fun fact:

1. Starting as a motivational coach is the best possible start ever

2. Having Messi or Ronaldo on your team at the initial stage is epic. I used one of them to train my Brazilian forward's mentals especially capable under pressure.

3. Spain always has awesome, creative wonderkids at least in each seasonal youth players. France too, buh it's more once in a 5 year kind of thing. But when you do, he'll be too good.

I have a 21 year old French player, I bought him when he was 16, after he graduated from the Toulouse youth team. He's a mercurial talent, expert in deadball situation (penalty is 4.5 star, freekick is 5 star), he's a fearless leader(Determination, Professionalism, Capable under pressure, Consistency, leader, hardworking, team player, loyal)😂

Biggest coop ever
