You didn't hear wrong, I tested this on FM 24 mobile today and before the results, what I did before the experiment

Clubs are the same

We made one team the same (Brazil) and the other team different countries (random)

I'm their manager 

The same features, the first 11 all have 20 features and the reserves all have 10 features and the reserve team all have 1 feature. 

Same age, same contract salary, same contract termination
