Can anyone tell me why a doesn't load all transfers through the "changes.txt" file? for example I start a save, to ensure that all the transfers have taken place, I restart the save at least 3/4 times if necessary.

But sometimes I find the new signings in the reserves of the teams for example: Marco Bresciana instead of being in the Atalanta first team is in the second, or I happen to see that there are players who haven't actually transferred and are randomly placed in the reserves, can anyone tell me why? Does the game version have anything to do with it? pls help me

It seems to be an issue in the game applying the data from the changes file.

Really no one knows why this happens but I think it's because the changes file made for just some missed updates not too much ones.

The problem must be linked to the places available in the various squads.
In the changes.txt file of @hossamallam the transfers of the various players are there but it is not applied to all teams for some reason. In fact, as you said, for example, all the transfers of the most important players for Juventus are placed in the reserve team. For this reason it makes me think that the game tries to fill the first team and then the second until the available places are filled.
It's just a null hypothesis for sure.

so how should it be solved? should I make sure that every player I see in the reserves I put them in the right teams at every save? I also happened to start a save with Manchester City and I saw Walker still in the team and not at Milan, then instead Khusanov still at Lens and not at Manchester City, if he does that it makes no sense

I know it can be unnerving, but I think fixing this goes beyond changes.txt files because it has to be an internal working of the game.
Reading the file I saw that Walker is actually present but the game doesn't transfer him anyway. I did a test with Napoli where only Gilmour was present as a new player and the others were not despite having been correctly inserted in changes.txt file by @hossamallam . Trying manually I changed the order, this time putting Mctominay first and second Gilmor, by loading a new save I now had Mctominay in the squad and no longer Gilmour. With this interaction I must say there is a problem with the space in the team.

you should save the game after creating it for the first time and the restart and load the game again and it should be fixed

so it's pretty much unsolvable as I understand it, unless every time I start a new save I have to check each team and see if each player has been moved correctly, and if not I have to change it anyway.

For example "Moise" Kean" ""... "ACF Fiorentina" is not transferred but is in Juve's reserves, so I should do "Moise" "Kean" ""... "Juventus Reserves" ""... "ACF Fiorentina", it's a slam...

yes I know I do it regardless, I restart the save at least 2/3 times and it resolves itself, but it happens that some players are not transferred or are put in the reserves, and every time that happens I would have to take the changes.txt file, rewrite the names and move them from the reserves to the teams where they should have already been moved

then there is another problem which concerns the transfer of coaches to other teams, for example Thiago Motta from Bologna to Juve, for example if I start a file with Juve and directly do "exit the game" without saving, once I come back I am fired because the coach has been moved, instead to ensure that this does not happen I would have to save before leaving so then when I return I am not fired but I am still at Juve, but this way it makes no sense and is very unnerving

In the file @hossamallam has already inserted both text strings to ensure that Kean goes to Fiorentina but for some reason the game doesn't move him and makes him stay at Juventus.

I did the same thing but it moves it correctly, but for some and therefore I should follow the same procedure, unfortunately the mobile version is calculated less, because on PC there is precisely the pre-game editor in which you can move everything and it creates a file like the changes.txt for mobile and on PC it's fine, however on mobile you have to make life more complicated, so I think it's almost useless to make the transfers because there will always be problems

The PC version is certainly better structured for this kind of thing, for mobile I think we have to be satisfied 🤷🏻.

I have a similar issue - where some transfers listed in the file just haven’t worked.

I don’t understand the advice above around to start the save again sorry. Do you mean start a brand new save? Or do you mean save the current game, exit and re-open that save? I don’t see how that would/could work!?!

@hossamallam If the cause of this issue is squad size, as @AlessioCapra tested above, would it not make sense to re-order the changes.txt file? Putting all the contract expiry/releases 1st, followed by the Major transfers from the top 5 leagues, filled by the rest?

Mine is just a hypothesis and it doesn't necessarily mean the number of places available in the various teams. Another thing that could perhaps influence are the numbers and which championships are selected before a new save.

Sure, but it’s as good a reason as any and it’s logical so worth exploring!

Unless someone official (or with vast experience) can explain specifically how the changes.txt file works and how FM processes it, we are all hypothesising 😀.

Sadly I don’t think I can play with this release as it is. There’s too many weird things with the transfers (Lots unsuccessful and elite level players bugged between teams - allowing a contract offer! Would be too easy. You could assemble a world beating team of 150/160+CA players from just free transfers.

I might, f I have time, strip it all back and just just focus promotions/relegations and the main leagues transfers. Unless our man releases another version before! 🤞
