Help Is Aerial in FM REALLY good?

While playing FM, I've always found that Aerial in strikers are just always scoring well, while some of my lower aerial strikers aren't. Is it just because of the roles or just how FM works in a way?

i think because fullbacks/wingers doesn't have the capability to do low cross, so most of the time when they are stuck in the flanks they will just cross the ball.

also set piece are pretty broken, most of the post I've seen where people try to exploit/break the game they will use high aerial striker
