Help Need some tips

So i have been playing this game for about 2 years now and one problem I have is continuing with a save the longest one I have ever done lasted 17 seasons and it was about a year ago and the reason I quit that save was because I save scummed in europa final and used editor to kick out other managers to replace them with myself.

The thing is I don't understand the tactics of this game and so far have been relying on tactics made by others i wanna make my own tactics so I will need some study material it would great I can get some links to threads specially talk about how this game works so I can learn in detail.
