Tactics 4-1-2-2-1 Project-X

Hello guys , first attempt after couple of years to create a tactic . I had the help of Dan and scratch in the discord so a special thanks to them . IT ISNT a plug and play tactic so I’ll try to analyze what I’m looking in each position . I’ve tested it in Greek Superleague with OFI Crete and in Vanarama with Blyth . I won champions league with OFI Crete and multiple championships. I wanted to test it in lowers leagues and I took 2 consecutives promotions with Blyth as 1st 

So it’s a classic 4-1-2-2-1 

As I said tactic isn’t plug and play so we will look for those attributes in each position 

DC/DC : Pace, Tackling

WBR/WBL : Pace, Crossing, Tackling

DMC : Tackling, Decisions, Passing

MC/MC : Pace, Passing , Decisions, Movement

AML/AMR : Crossing, Dribbling , Team work , Pace 

ST : Aerial , Shooting , Pace , Positioning, Movement 

 

The main scorer is the Striker, so tactic focusing to provide more chances to him . I’ve choose Poacher because it’s more ideal in my eyes for that project.
Wingers providing assists so that’s why they are Wingers and not Inside forwards 

Cm instead of the other roles because BBM/AP/RP take much more shoots instead of passing 

With everything focusing the striker it’s a good tactic to try the 1k challenge 

Set pieces:

the only thing I ve done here is the old trick in the corners . Find a good corner taker and your striker will score a lot from corners

I hope It will work for you as much it did for me 

Any advices to make the tactic better is welcome

is there any weaknesses in this tactic that you discovered when playing it? and is there anything that we can tweak (roles/instructions) if we're losing, facing certain tactics, etc?

Didn’t change anything even when losing

PS. Positioning is a defensive-only attribute, I.e. to mark + close down passing lanes. Does your ST really need good positioning?

I’d suggest moving the Anchor forward to the MC position (same role) - to push the CMs wider, so they give better supply to the wings.

I assume this tactic’s goals mostly come from crosses and headers?

I found that positioning also matters at the corners , I ve tried it with some strikers

and yes most goals are from crosses , corners or rebounds when opposition’s defence makes mistake
