Chat Tips for Building a Successful Squad in FM24 Mobile?

Hey FMVibe community! 👋

I’ve recently started playing FM24 Mobile and I’m absolutely hooked! That said, I’m still trying to figure out the best approach to building a consistent, winning squad. Do you guys have any go-to strategies when it comes to scouting talent, managing wages, or building depth in key positions?

Also, how do you balance youth development with signing experienced players? I’ve tried focusing on potential, but sometimes I lose games I should win. Any hidden gem signings or tactical setups you'd recommend?

On a side note (bit random, I know), I’ve been juggling FM24 with an online Selenium Course I’m taking to upskill in automation testing – so I’m all about efficiency right now 😅.

Would love to hear how others approach squad building, especially long-term saves. Appreciate any tips you can share!

I have something to share.

 

EXISTING WONDERKIDS

The best method for long term save plan is using Wonderkids with high Pa in the Database.(Young players with high Ca to Pa gap grows faster than Low Ca to Pa gap Young players)

You can look at the Forum of Best Wonderkids in the game. 

I Assume you would start in a Top 5 league club so you can sell existing squad player to buy these wonderkids.

Some wonderkids I use in every save are Roony,Assan,Ivan Fresneda,Oscar Gloukh,Arsen,Nelson and Echeverri if possible.

REGENS.

Best way in my sight is to Hunt High Pa players Regens(Like Messi,Ronaldo,Ibra,Buffon)

They can develop quickly and will turn into World beaters if Trained efficiently.

TEAM DYNAMICS.

The most important thing yet many ignores this. I also used to ignore this but Once @Scratch explained in his Goal scoring legend thread. From there I keep eye on this.

A Team with good Team Dynamics like Green in Professional, Determinetion, Hardworking can prove vital. Cause Young players with poor Mental attributes can become Hardworking, Professional, Determined etc. by Playing under Good Team Dynamics and Players.

COACHES AND TRAINING STAFF.

This is very important to develop those Wonderkids and high Pa Regens.

CORE OF THE TEAM.

Another very important thing.

The senior players of the Club and The Leadership hirerchy Players are vital for long term save.

The Leaders must be of good Personality.(You can find these players by Green in Teamwork and Leadership) These players will influence your Young guns.

I’ve completed a long-term save with Manchester United, and here’s what I know.

 

Start by creating a tactic shape and stick to it. I prefer choosing a shape, like 4-2-3-1, and using it throughout the save to avoid constantly adjusting players to new tactics. Next, create two full starting elevens: one as your best lineup and the other as your second eleven, (both including substitutes). Alternate these lineups for matches—first eleven for one match, second eleven for the next. Additionally, always have three backup players for emergencies: one defender, one midfielder, and one attacker. 

 

After setting up your lineups, identify the weakest positions. Understand the attributes required for those roles and use the player search screen to find suitable transfers. It can be challenging, but you’ll improve at finding the right players over time. Look for players with good personalities (determined, professional, high teamwork) and solid attributes at reasonable prices. I generally avoid players over 30, though it depends on your team’s needs.

 

If it’s your first save, it’s perfectly fine to use a tactic from the forum so you can focus on building your squad.
