Evaluate the weight of different attributes in FMM24

FMarena's research is very compelling. But I didn't see that they tested the mobile version. I have no computer science knowledge, so I spent a day playing the game manually in vacation modexD I tried all attributes except goalkeeper attributes or leadership. (Edit: I use in-game editor to improve every player's specific attribute by 5 to evaluate the weight of attributes.) I tested each attribute for 148 games, the sample seems small so it's not convincing enough, but I hope it works a little.

I chose Bournemouth for a couple of reasons: 1. they are stronger than the board expected so the manager is unlikely to be sacked 2. they are not a top team so there is room for improvement 3. they play an attacking 4-2-3-1, which is a common tactic 4. they have high hidden attributes so there are fewer negative incidents 5. they are young on average and raising their CA will not be higher than PA.

I started each season from round 2(they lost 0-2 to Arsenal in the first match), the manager is Kieran McKenna, he plays offensive 4-2-3-1(1 AMC, 2 MCs)

I think FMM24 is more balanced on attributes, maybe "Decision" can barely be considered a dominant attribution, but it's far from FMM22 and the earlier versions' "Pace". My next thought is to find or form a long pass team with 2 FCs and 1 or 2 DMCs, any suitable teams or head coach out there?

I also test Movement + 5 for FC, AMR, AML, 1/2 MC, Position + 5 for DC, DL/R, 1/2 MC, not as good as all Movement +5:

Hi fufi, I use the in-game editor to change player attributes and evaluate the importance of each player. For example, I increase the pace of all Bournemouth players by 5 (12->17, 15->20, etc.) and then start the vacation mode until the end of the first season. After the first season, I recorded the results and restarted the 23/24 season so I could control a single variable. I tested it for 4 seasons and I can get the results as screenshots. I tested all attributes in this way. You can see that "Decision" is the most important attribute, while "Stamina" and "Aerial" are not at all.

And what are the three or four main decisions, according to your conclusion? Thank you very much for your explanation and for such a great job. Who would have imagined that arial  wasn't so important? It's always the first thing I try to improve?

In my opinion, Decision, Passing, Dribbling and Movement are most important attributes. These four attributes are about passing the ball, and I pick a team which plays 4-2-3-1, you know 4-2-3-1 have many short passes so it may make the advantage of passing attributes bigger. Next, I want to test a team with long-pass tactic. I am wondering if these passing attributes are also important for long-pass teams.

By the way, the physical attributes is weaker than ever. I think for FMM22 or earlier, and for PC all version, Pace( plus acceleration for PC), Strength, Aerial(Jumping reach for PC) are dominant attributes, but they're not important in FMM24 now. It's a big change

This is one of my favourite opening posts on FMMvibe this year 🔥 Am still considering what it means - so happy to listen to anyone’s thoughts 👍 

Am also wondering what it means for a lower league team (e.g. VNL) - are physicals really more important in the lower leagues for example? 🤷

I'm interested in this too. In my VNN/VNS saves i've dominated the leagues by having a main striker with high aerial (16+) and another with high pace, combined with 2 central defenders with high aerial too (which you send up for corners) you'll out-score most opposition. I'd assume that having lower stats across the board generally that you'd see better results when the physicals are pushed higher, rather than things like decisions or teamwork

In short, aerial is a great attribute but it need assisters with high crossing meaning it is effective (to an extent) but In a TEAM setting decision making is the broken attribute 

 

I wonder if he'd get different results for different tactics so we'll know (442) is an aerial tactic or 424 is a decisions tactic
