Tactics Extremely Fluid Play

Introduction 

So I started my tactical analysis with AC Milan since I saw another tactic posted on the foreign which was extremely good with AC Milan so I decided to use it as a benchmark to test my tactic results 

The name of the tactic I'm comparing mine against is (T.O.A.T)

Tactics 

Results 

I want the league with 100 points and 92 goals and the tactic I am comparing mine against scored 101 points and 100 goals though it's an overload tactic it out performed my tactic in terms of defense 

After nearly beating a Real Madrid twice with their keeper being the man of the match in both matches I eventually lost narrowly to Manchester city in the UCL 

Then I lost to inter Milan in the Copa Italia semi-final inar narrow loss also, my striker had a very poor and season this might look like good stats but scoring 4 goals in one match and ghosting matches is still 4 goals in 4 matches

in Central Defence using pacy defender (minimum 15) also one defender to comfortable with the ball (minimum 13 dribbling)

in Wing Backs we need movement, crossing, pace

in Midfielder using one player with hight creativity(15) like Reijnders and one Box to Box Midfielder with good Aggressive, Stamina, Shooting like Bonaventura/Gallagher/Lewis Ferguson

and your Pressing Forward should be Aggressive (Creativity, Aerial as a Gift!) i like zirkzee, abraham, gakpo, darwin nunez, vlahovic

Which player's role can I change?🤔

• SK --> GK / BPL--> Every Roles(CB very positive, Maybe better than BPD) / BWM --> DLP(Attacking Choice) Anchor

The only downside to this tactic is player injuries.

The control tactic uses the control mentality and a high defensive line.

I use it against EXTREMELY SMALL TEAMS AND SLIGHTLY LARGER CLUBS like Manchester city and Real Madrid since the counter mentality means the team would have to absorb pressure which is okay against teams like Roma and Como but is risky against large clubs with strong defensive players like Manchester city and Real Madrid. So it's safer to control possession against those clubs as possession gives us more chances to shoot.

Definitely my idea too, im a flexible manager myself i always put thought on a match i cant stay put with one tactic and just waiting for a new season to buy a stronger player keeping it realistic as i want to build it As soon as possible with no "oil money" ifyk what i mean lowering my ego about how i want to play because that how life is you cant make everything as you want it to be (keeping it realistic) really satisfied me when Im winning the ucl

And i think counter attacking playstyle might work against big team because we played carefully and slowly until we have the chance, much better if the team we face have a slow CB (so let's see if you can keep up with my fast st and fast Winger)

I totally understand what you mean because then the pace of my  windows and strikers with easily outperform my opponent slow defenders but the thing is the clubs that I mentioned have mbappé and Haaland 😂 in the game this players basically score with every shot they take 

So I determined the only way to stop that is by keeping possession 

 

And unique thing about this tactic guitar any player can pop up anywhere for instance my AMC is also my DMC and my IWB is also my RCM and my RCM is also my AMC and my LCD is my LDMC

 

The number 9(AMC) in in the defensive midfielder position 

 

In this tactic fast movement and verticality are key

So you use the counter attacking against a decent team? Like Atalanta? You wanna play carefully because sometimes team like this can suprise you right? 

And against the small team we use control because well you know small team always play defensively and maybe fast counter attack so we should control the ball 

If we play counter against them is such a waste right because they not attack us like decent team do 😆😹

I got your idea bro, thanks a lot Will try this with my Dortmund team next season or in the half season still using the black hawk tactic for now because i don't know Emre can can play in the center as an AP i can use brant in the AP but Emre Will be useless and i have a limited budget(already spending it for LB and CB and a new CM because we lacking in that area maybe in half season i can sell can and bring a new CM for an AP position)

Emre might work as an AP, since it's a shoot on sight tactic and it just require player rotations that free up space

You're completely correct cause the team would be waiting for the perfect time to counter, will the small team would be playing defensively, that's how I lost against Manchester United, I used the control tactic instead of the counter tactic

To be honest, when I saw your tactics, I didn't think the results would be good, but it's better than I expected.

 

Let me tell you a secret. Overload helps win trophies (especially in the first season) but it reduces possession and points in the league compared to other mentality.

is there any changes/adjustments you make when your team doesn't perform?

I think its depends on what player do you have in the team, always look at that first if your player suit this tactics i think its gonna work fine if its don't than you have to adjust it first buying a new player or try to train the player you have to the role in this tactics (if the player suit the role)

im sorry but what i meant was, if hypothetically my players suit this tactics and losing what should i do? should i change anything like mentality or maybe roles?

what can i change/adjust when the tactic don't work is what i meant to ask, because surely it's not a "perfect tactic" where you always win

If this happened to me, i always switching between tactics but losing 1-2 match i think its normal just make sure you know the tactics they Will use and what team you face like bolajoko and i talking about at the Above you use counter attacking playstyle against a decent team and control for smaller team and large team

And i mean if your team really suit well and build well you Will going through a good season i don't know what everyone Will experience but mine going unbeaten in the league maybe losing some hard game in ucl with a big team like Madrid or city or PSG but you can always improve through the season buying a player you want and winning everything like i already did (different tactic but same mindset good player = good tactics its always been like that)

But surely i have a picturing in my head about this one 

Explanation about Control mentality and counter mentality= control mentality is to control the game you put pressure to opposition team keep controlling the game and the ball (surely Suitable against smaller team because they Will always defending and of course you have to dominate the ball giving a lot a chance to shoot and for the bigger team i still thinking about this and maybe i can be wrong surely we have to control the game rather than receive pressure against the opposition because they are strong team so we should control the ball but i think counter Will be effective too, why? Well like bolajoko said the opposition team have Haaland and mbappe in the team so counter its kinda stupid so it might be good to use counter mentality but with different situation Haaland and mbappe  can shoot anywhere and make it a goal so what if they don't have Haaland and mbappe? Well i Will try it and have opinion on this but i think control is the most effective against a big team)

Maybe its a build up counter play, Im searching it in google it is a build up play rather than quick transition its a slow transition its more direct than just controlling the ball high percentage ball posession

Well, apart from the tactic changes I already mentioned you could try either 

Changing the defensive pressing to "ALL OVER"

Mirroring the tactic 

Left winger(W) BECOMES AN (IF)

RIGHT WINGER(IF) BECOMES A (W)

AMC STAYS THE SAME

MIDFIELDERS AND DEFENDERS ARE MIRRORED

 

OR maybe you just need better Midfielders and defenders

Basically the slow passing is a decoy

Because the team structure can move from right to left and I have basically a back 3 and the midfields are there to create the unseen overload

For instance,

During defence 

The midfields drop deep except for the (W) AND (IF) which creates long passing options and once they have the ball, every player makes a run forward therefore create an overload and still maintaining a back 3 and one holding midfielder (IWB) or (L)

During attack,

I have 5/6 Midfielders 

The (W,BBM,AP,AM,IWB)+the(L,in certain situations)

these players are the true engine of the team, they score and provide assist and also.... OVERLOAD THE MIDFIELD while still maintaining a Back 3 defence, and the shoot on sight option makes it unpredictable to know who's going to shoot,

This overload drawing opponents defenders e.g Against teams with 2 midfields it's (5v2) then they could assign 2 defenders to press the other players but it's still (5v4) and their defence has 2 holes for my (IF OR DLF) to exploit and that's where the Extra Midfielder comes in either with a long shot or and assist

These are some match recordings that shows how the team plays 

One thing I noticed is that the (IF) and (W) roles don't need their native attributes, I noticed that strikers with poacher attributes work better in the tactic (strike from the shadows) 

 

Then all your forwards needs to have "Tries first time shot" and "shoots from distance" is a bonus 

 

 Then for the Midfielders I haven't really noticed any traits but I think 

"Shoots from distance" and "Gets forward whenever possible" and probably "tries long passes"

 

Note: I am still studying the players that work best in the tactic and I hope this is a useful guide
