Couldnt resist this new challenge.......trying it alongside the others who have set the standard.......

The 5000 Goals + Assists Challenge.
Five players. One combined goal: 5,000 total contributions.
No shortcuts. No simming. Every match, every assist, every tap-in — earned.

Got to be Celtic.....the only way to have a chance at this crazy target....

The 5 suspects.....Greenwood, Enegha, Diallo, Ferguson & Van Bommel

Damn, Great numbers in first season. And how you completed 2 seasons in such a short time? Or you played them already and then posted here.

They are easy to get aren't they? Greenwood is always a snip at 7million.....you just sell absolutely everyone you have pretty much, to load up the transfer kitty....make your offers.....then before pressing continue put ALL your funds into wages so that you can attract the best players...press continue.....meet their wage demands (obviously not the very top top players, but alot will agree)......then move all your funds back to transfer money.....press continue......done 😁

Yes been playing over the last 4 days....wanted to actually get a couple of seasons under the belt to see if I could actually make a good start...nothing worse than starting a new challenge and embarassing yourself.....done that too many times lol

Yeah, I know the tricks of the trade but he never wants to sign. Ever! Strange. 🤷

Strange.....I've never had a problem with him wanting to come....others it's not so easy though, like Ward-Prowse, he never wants to come to scotland.....yet he would be perfect for a 1K assist merchant.... .usually have to wait until a few seasons in to persuade him to come

Great start! I’m thinking of getting one of these careers going to join the madness. I’ve started a test save which may end up being my actually career as it’s firing well, just not as well as your or Dai 😂

Will take screenshot at the end of the next season....nothing incredible to be honest....its the tactic that is pulling me through with the good stats.....I am having to run them all into the ground to get the figures I'm getting, so they aren't getting any rest to be able to increase to their full potential

Have to concede on this....I just don't have the patience lol....far too manyyyyy seasons for me lol so credit where it's due if you can stick with it for that many, hats off to you.....on to a new (quicker) challenge....happy with some tweaks I have made on my tactic during this chalkenge, so might have a go at breaking the 200 team league goals in a season again....

Damn, you are almost halfway there! Actually close to 60% I think. Shame you didn't push on, you surely would have made it. That said, the longest save I've had in 24 is 6 seasons (currently at 4 with my latest save), so I can't be throwing stones at others! 😀

I get the fatigue. I like setting up careers where I have to move around. Starting in the vanarama south you can get a 4star striker with a little work then by the time you reach the championship, jump to a decent team in Holland, Portugal, Scotland when a job comes up and build a new team after buying your striker. Plus they often get a PA boost if the new club has top facilities.

On transfers, once you’ve maxed out your wages, if you go on holiday for a few days after an offer has been accepted but before you are required to offer a contract and set only buy players from shortlist then often a player will fully sign that wouldn’t have even discussed terms if you did it yourself. All while you’re on holiday!

I signed haaland to Celtic on 48k a week. Doesn’t always work but often does.

I'm aware of that "trick" pal.

I was under the assumption that it couldn't be used for challenges. Otherwise there's no limit to who you can sign and makes it pointless.
