Chat Things we expect from FMM26

Lets start a thread here with what we hope for/expect/needs fixing, in FMM 26. for example. I have 2 things i really want to see included/fixed

1. DM/BWM/A position needs to be tweaked to make it actually work for the player. Too many times we have a thumping win and all players have 7s, 8s and 9/10s but then your BWM is sat there on a 5 or 6/10. Its broken and needs fixing.

2. This is more wishful thinking but i would love the ability to tell my reserve team manager who to play. Too many times we buy that kid who looks like he has potential as a CM only for your reserve team manager to play your LB ahead of him and out of position. Its annoying.

I could honestly list 20 or 30 but I'll leave that open to you guys. Lets list 1 or 2 things each to keep it short and digestible to read whilst we pretend to work at the office 😉

Iceland League, unlimited seasons are a massive, with better quality of phones, this should not be a problem. With the end of the season every year, the game spits out retired players. So unlimited seasons is a must at some point

Yeah I dont see why that shouldn't be implemented. To be honest though I never do a 30 year save personally. I get bored around season 10 and start new saves

i would like some small details in the match like the commentator talking about the players celebrating after scoring against their former team

I would like to see new player roles (eg Wide center backs, complete wingback, mezzala, raumdeuter. etc). 

More details in player contract negotiations. And also in transfer negotiations (add-ons, performance clauses etc). 

I want to see a role like the "Libero" actually play like the game describes it.

Personally tired of SIgames churning out the same product with a different skin and database, every year. 

The next edition should be worth the wait for the FMM community.

This would be good, however i feel most people don't read the commentary anyway as we play the games at too quick of a speed. I think more options in team talks and when talking to a a player would be cool.

Everything you said is absolutely spot on. the Libero role is completely useless, it just doesn't work, all it does is make him push 2ft further forward than his CB partner which is pointless. Also there is no option or player role to make one of you fullbacks tuck in as a 3rd CB when the other full back is attacking. We see that in so many teams these days but its impossible to replicate in fmm24. As for the transfer system. add ons are included in most high profile transfers these days so to not have them in game is poor from SI.

Agreed. They should also introduce player instructions and duties (support, cover, attack, defend and cover). The current tactics format are outdated

Gotta Add my opinion.

Sega only gave us Pre-Match and Post-Match talk, In-Game substitution quick menu, and a little bit of UI change.

Now to talk about Tactical Update. Last time we got that update in 2018. They continued the Previous Tactical system for almost 10 years. And the current one is in game for 7 Years. I think they will Intruduce some Changes in Tactics. But do not Expect a complete overhaul, Cause Game's Developer confirmed it that they are Working on certain roles and their Behaviour in Game, so some changes to 4-5 roles in Game engine is Expected. For Ex- Libero,BWM,RP are most likely.

Something like Cover,Attack or Defense support system is Not very likely to come, I think We have to start a Thread on Official SI forums. That way we can let them know What we want IG.

We are also Expecting some changes in Transfers but that is not Confirmed yet so have to wait to see what they will offer to us in next Installment.

if they fix the broken roles then that is definitely a big plus point, DLP at CDM for example is just rubbish. he should have the most of the ball throughout the game but when you check the stats after, most of the time he is 4th or 5th in terms of passes made. that whole CDM position is a problem, on RP works there but then you're sacrificing the defensive side of that position. if they add inverted fullback as a player role where the player tucks in as 3rd CB then I'll be happy with that.

I'd love to see them get rid of player attributes. It's a tradition dating back to CM1, but no longer necessary at all. I know it will never happen as there is a certain mentality among FM players that is focussed on numbers, but even being able to switch it off would be great. The game could then introduce proper modern data analysis and scouting, and you would have to take risks when buying players.

More squad unrest, much more and varied media work, and more staff movement would be great too - your coaches should have ambitions.

Finances could be looked at as well. The current system is neat and easy to track. But it would be good to have actual budgets, as we had thirty years ago in CM95/96, so it feels like your success or failure really mattered.

An alternative would be to remove budgets, and bring in a director of football model (at big clubs) and a chairman model (at small clubs). With the former, players would be signed or sold by committee, and your influence on those decisions would be linked to your time and success at the club. In the lower leagues you could have more influence but the chairman would take a much closer look at the budgets and give you maximums for each signing, so negotiations are actually important.

The main Objective of Mobile version is to keep it as simple as possible, And deduction of Player attributes will make game more difficult going away from the Prime objective that is "To keep game simple". So it will not happen in the near future.(Could be possible after 5-10 Years if they continue the Series)

Fully agree they won't do it. 👍

However, funnily enough I think hiding attributes would make it simpler for new players. Rather than being faced with thirty numbers for each player, you could just have a coach's rating for players in your squad, and a scout's rating for players not in your squad. We already have descriptions like "Poacher" and "Wing-back" to tell you what kind of player they are. The attributes are simply not necessary in the same way they were in the 90s, and they likely put new players off.

You want a proper Libero?!

Good news. It’s likely that FMM26 should have a much more attacking Libero 🔥 as we gave feedback on it to the games lead developer, and they’ve tweaked the role to be much more attacking. It just hasn’t been confirmed, as it needed to pass quality testing. Fingers crossed 👍 

Though be warned - you may now find the Libero out of position when defending against a quick counter attack 😉

i play with attribute masking on but never even considered no attributes at all. that would be a challenging save

yeah the financials in FMM are too easy. i did an arsenal save recently, sold the players that are no longer there in real life and bought the new players, Gyokeres etc, and even though they were expensive as hell i was left with close to 300 million in my second season. its not a challenge anymore.

I only play a Libero in a back 3 so having him caught out of position now and again is a fair trade off if it means he actually plays like a libero

Another thing that i want added is more options when either accepting or rejecting a job. I'm at the end of the season in my current save, just won the league with Monaco and have 1 game left (Cup final) and in the last 2 weeks I have been offered Newcastle, Chelsea and now the UTD jobs. I want to accept but would like the option to say "let me win this cup and i'll join after that" or at least a delay answer button like we used to get in old CM games.

Another massive one they need to get hold of is player retirements, so many 31 to 33 year olds just retire so early. Players playing nearly into there 40s. And then if there retiring they don't play international football 😕

Getting "tapped up" for a job would be fun too.

agreed, you should be able to talk a player out of retirement even if he isn't at your club. "come on KDB, give me one season at Wrexham before you retire" 😀

That's a major thing.

Like if you have become a top manager with high influence, then you should be allowed to talk any player not to retire. That would be awesome. (But it will another 10 years I think so 🙂🙂)

I have another thing that needs fixing and its niche. but its Athletic Club (Bilbao). I love doing a Bilbao save as it is one of the most challenging saves you can do (only allowed Basque players) but the game executes it poorly. on season 1 and 2 you lose 3 or 4 of your best players (Nico Williams, Unai Simon, Dani Vivian) most times. now this is fine, they want to go to a bigger club but the problem is the board expectations. I usually nick 3rd or 4th place in my first season when the board only require Europa league qualification but then after that the board want champions league every year even though you constantly battle to keep your best players and can only replace them with Basque players when they leave (of which the quality in certain positions is awful). Add to this that they have a C team in game (as do other Spanish clubs) but you cant move people into it and once you move a player out of it they can only be in your A or B team and then the C team never produces players again. Also... In Spain, for some bizarre reason, your B team manager gets the manager of the year trophies instead of you. like i said, its niche but i really wish they fix it.
