Yo It's Adrian here. I noticed there is no guide(atleast for latest fm's) about regens. And It would be useful thing to later share around or for new users to find using FMMvibe.
This Guide will work for FMM23 and FMM24. High chance it will work for FMM26 as well.
First up...
Whatareregens?
Regens are pretty much any player that isn't a real life player. When it comes to FM Mobile, regens are pretty much regenerated players. What I mean by regenerated is players made based on their original(a retired player that was in the database. So no Zinedine Zidane regens possible)
How to find regens?
It's same as finding any player, just use scouts and search some places that good regens might appear in by example National Teams and their U/21's.
How to find a specific Regen is a question that requires a longer answer, and is frequently asked by new players.
First up make sure the original player of the regen you're looking for already retired, and remember a regen mostly shows up next season after the player retired. BUT it might take them longer also. You just have to wait if he isn't there.
Now how to exactly make sure the regen you found is the regen of the player u wanted?
I'll use the example of Jorginho
Whenever his regen appears,
1. his main position(Light Green) must be the same as him. In case of Jorginho it's DMC(other positions a regen has are random)
2. His strong foot must be the same as him, also his weak foot must be the same level as him, in Jorginho's case yellow weak foot
3. His attribute spread should be pretty similar to him. What I mean by that is the highest attributes of the regen should be similar to the player he is a regen of.
(IMPORTANT, physicals, technique, aggresion and teamwork, are random and most of the time aren't the same as the original player)
4. Their injury proneness will be the same(helps finding regens of players that were injury prone)
To check their injury proneness check their scout report/coach report or how the physio rates his injury proneness.
5. Their personality WILL NOT be the same as the original
6. Their nationality will be the same most of the time(very small chance it might be different but thats rare)
REMEMBER to check if the regen doesn't have a dual nationality. As one of those is 99,9% the same as a original player.
7. Their Set Piece rating and Penalty rating needs to be the same as the original.
8. And at last Potential of the regen must be the same as the original.
If you use the editor to check then you'll see.
If you don't then someone that has a description of promising(3,5 star or higher) or wonderkid(4 star or higher) will have a high potential.
So by example a player with the same position
Same strong foot and weak foot
Similar attribute spread
Similar injury proneness
Same nation(check if he has a dual nationality of that nation)
And high potential
Would almost 100% be his regen.
