Chat Best tactic in history between 2018 and 2024

Hi guys, after having had the privilege of seeing the new version of football manager I asked myself...but for us what is the best tactic we have used in the history of Football manager MOBILE?

There’s a big difference in the match engines before/up to FMM22 and in FMM23/24. 

• Up to FMM22 - the IFs moved very centrally + the corner tactic was super effective. 
• In FMM23/24 - the IFs stayed much wider + the clever tactic was less effective.

I don’t know what tactic was ‘best’. 

• In FMM23/24 - the Black Hawk 4123 was probably the most popular tactic, partly because (1) its a very well balanced, effective, plug + play tactic, (2) it was posted relatively early, so lots of people tried it, and (3) some of us are constantly recommending it to new players 😂 

… BUT that doesn’t mean it’s the ‘best’. No-one has really published tests of many different tactics - so it’s all based on opinions / personal experiences.

What do YOU all think has been the best tactic? 🤔

I still really like the 'Super 3-5-2' tactic. It's never failed me at any club.

I'm aware a lot of players don't like 3 at the back systems though.

Love this one and this isn't dissimilar.

I guess the thing with anointing any tactic is that there are savants out there murdering the game with 1/2/3k tactics. Of those posted here, the two above are my favourites with the Black Hawk often acting as a starting place for me to experiment.

In essence, I think any solid effective tactic begins with the midfield triangle with the DM playing as the RP.
