I've been having 5 ou even 4 ratings on players that I didn't noticed any errors during the highlights. This seems to affect more the Wing Backs and the central midfielders.

Also, I just saw an adversary having a rating 3! Wow! 😂

Yeah, lmao. I had a midfielder with a good performance. Got an assist and got a 5, lol.

Have y'all tried Bergvall and Archie Gray? They're so goated. I feel like i didn't do anything in Midfield for 10 seasons 😂. Sarr as backup. Insane Spurs mids. It's too easy. Good way to learnt the game. I will come back to my Bois afterwards. Now i try the womens league.

 

Maybe the pros like @DanEnglish @Scratch etc can do a Spurs challenge because I feel like these two can actually be turned into Xavi and Iniesta with some insane tactics (I'm not a pro, I just play for fun).

I'm noticing a lot of errors from my goalkeeper and defenders when passing the ball around. Half the chances conceded are coming from my players mistakes.

I was wondering if thre is any interest (and partly if anyone is already doing it) to add the right names and pictures for all the Swedish teams and leagues? I've started on this for my own save and wondered if it was worth spending a few nights on fixing

i used some spanish guy's from YouTube and it worked. don't get it though. i also created a documents folder, then put a graphics folder inside it, albeit empty. just worked for some reason afterwards lol

My excitement is short lived again. The transfer market is generally so stupid in this game. So stupid. As we have recently seen in real life teams are happy and willing to spend big money on big players (especially English teams) but they rarely do. Most English teams never spend more than 30-40M which is fine but then French, Italian and German clubs like Lens, Frankfurt and Lyon are spending upwards of 60-70M. WTF!  
Most clubs around the world generally operate on a budget that does not allow them to spend that so much, and as such most clubs will sell their players at reasonable prices. Why are player values so out of whack in this game as always!? Prime example in this game is Timo Livramento…

why the heck does he  always sign for Arsenal from Newcastle for 121M!? It makes zero sense-Arsenal have just spent a lot of money and they have TWO world class right backs. And even if they have do insist on buying him why is it that in FMM his price has to be 121M and not a far more reasonable and realistic 30-40M!? Is he really in the top 5 of the worlds most expensive ever players!? Usually Newcastle use that money and buy Michael Olise from Bayern which again-begs the question is this realistic? Just like last year when City always bought Joshua Kimmich-would it really happen? 
 

in previous versions of FM touch you could skirt around this a bit by adding  another manger in a given save. I would regularly take over a huge club just for a month in the summer that I knew would sack their manager in real life based on the season that they just had, and would correct all the stupid transfers that the AI would make. If I was Madrid for example, I would go out and find the best possible player in the game that I could because I’m Real Madrid (not from Barcelona). Invariably, that team would always do much better the next season making the game more competitive and in turn more enjoyable (unless they hired a terrible coach). That option does not exist in this game. So we’re stuck with this BS. 
 

I am sure many of you do not care about the lack of realism or intelligence that this game offers in the transfer market. Maybe you don’t care that most clubs never proactively change their coaching staff or scouts/physios. It just makes for an easier and less enjoyable experience for me when I know that right away my main rivals won’t buy valuable players (typically) and won’t scour the globe for wonder kids etc. 

 

Miles and everyone at FM. Fix this BS.

Is anyone else having issues with training. Started a save with Barcelona. I’ve changed all the individual players training to the positions and roles for the formation I play however they keep reverting back to default. Seems to be one or two players each time I press continue until most of the squad is changed. It changes intensity back to.

This first release of FMM26 has serious optimization problems. My phone is a OnePlus 13R with a Snapdragon 8 Gen3, and within minutes it gets extremely hot. This doesn't happen with much more demanding games like Wuthering Waves. Furthermore, after applying the logos, kits, and FacePack, the game gets stuck on the home screen and won't budge until I clear the app's data. None of this happened with FMM24.

I enjoy the game so far a bit different from FMM 24, major issue i start noticing its the amount of injuries the game has , every week someone on my team gets injured, hopefully they fix this soon.

There are a LOT of variables that go into how the transfer market operates - not least the financial settings that you start with in the game as far as regulations go.

In real-life and thus in the game quite a few clubs will operate on a somewhat cyclic pattern these days when it comes to spending becuase of the financial regulations - for English clubs for instance they are allowed by the Premier League to spend 105m in a three year period (with some extensions for non-footballing profit and other things), this means that quite often clubs will keep balanced transfers or transfer for a profit and then binge spend for a season or two.

You might have noticed this in real-life with Brighton and Liverpool in recent seasons?

(I have however tuned this somewhat for an update which will be forthcoming in the future to make some larger clubs a little more relaxed about regulations and flex their financial muscle a little more due to their circumstances off the pitch - this sort of structural change however obviously requires a fair bit of testing before it goes into the wild, it'll be pre-xmas but I'm not going to rush it out and I think its very playable at present)

They don't 'always' sign him - however the reason that he's popular as a signing is multi-fold imho ..

  • He's a really high ability/potential young player
  • He's already proven himself in the Premiership
  • He has a very flexible profile and can play all across the back four as well as fill in further up the pitch should that be needed (left defensive midfield or all down the right flank).

His high price will be because Newcastle aren't in a position where they need to sell him, whereas Arsenal are serious about winning the title this year and start the game with money to spend and want to ensure they strengthen the squad and have flexibility to compete across all the competitions they're in.

Brighton only got Minteh (who was in no way near the same level when he sold) for 30m because Newcastle at that time were in danger of violating the financial regulations and HAD to sell. You are able to pay attention to the other clubs regulatory positions in FMM now and take similar advantage of clubs when such things occur (be warned they will do the same in reverse).

If as you indicate you want the game to be as realistic as possible then I would suggest you turn off transfer budgets in first window (this is present to prevent just this sort of transfer from occuring, in real-life Arsenal have already spent their budget before the game starts, but the game starts before that happened with the budget they had this summer - think of whom they signed, they were pretty aggressive irl and paid a decent sum for some of their players from smaller clubs from Newcastle).

Allowing clubs to effectively 'respend' the budgets they have already spent this summer makes the game more 'entertaining' obviously and its present because most people want the flexibility to spend and shape their clubs from the get-go, but for people who do want realism we do leave the option to prevent this.

Just to check as you mention FM Touch - you are playing FM Mobile and not that game? (as the two are totally different products and have totally different game engines).

hey marc. mind looking up the changes.txt thing for women's teams that have a men's team counterpart? we're kinda struggling with finding out how the game names them

Its on my to do list - but I'll be honest at present I'm concentrating on critical issues (ie. crashes etc.) that might stop people playing so I won't get to this for a short while, sorry.
