Its on my to do list - but I'll be honest at present I'm concentrating on critical issues (ie. crashes etc.) that might stop people playing so I won't get to this for a short while, sorry.

of course, fair enough!

It's a temporary boost from pre-match training

This keeps happening with my players. I can't even swap players in as they also show red 😠

I wish it was as simple as just one player being a trouble maker, but nope...

My Honest Review of FM26 Mobile

Firstly, I’d like to start off with an apology. I was quite harsh when the game features first dropped and even on release — but after spending more time with it, I’ve come to really appreciate how much depth and thought has gone into this year’s version.

Retain Team Selection / Retain Team Tactics
This feature is superb. The ability to pack a full pre-season schedule or skip cup games while keeping your team and tactics intact really streamlines the experience. It’s a game-changer, especially for players who prefer to jump straight into league and European fixtures.

Addition of Women’s Leagues
This addition adds a whole new layer to the game — another footballing world to explore and expand into. It’s also a big moment for women’s football, showing how much the sport has grown and become more mainstream. Just a few years ago, I couldn’t name many women players; now, I could easily list 30 or more. Including women’s leagues feels like both a fun gameplay feature and an important step forward for representation, I also like how the values our adjusted to real life (As of now the record transfer for Women's football is still under £2M) - Means I can do a financial takeover and built the best Women's team in the world for around 12M 😉

International Management Staff
This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. Being able to fill your international staff with former players and legends who once represented your country is awesome. It adds authenticity and makes managing on the international stage feel more personal and rewarding.

Match Preparation
A really cool new feature that boosts immersion and realism. It adds another layer of depth, making you feel even more involved in the build-up to each game and helping your team perform at their best.

Moving to a New Club at the End of a Season
I love this addition. I’ve noticed that the Manager History screen is now fixed — it no longer lists a season where you’ve left a club without playing any games, which used to look messy. The same fix applies to the player stats screen, and it’s a small but very welcome improvement that makes things feel more polished and accurate.

Things I’ve Noticed (Women’s Mode)

While I’ve really enjoyed diving into the new women’s mode, there are a few things I’ve noticed that could use some fine-tuning:

  • Wage Demands: When managing big clubs like Manchester United Women, contract negotiations can feel a bit inflated. For example, Bonmatí — one of the highest-paid women’s players in real life — reportedly earns around £800,000 per year (about £15.7k per week). Yet in-game, I’ve had a striker on £1.4k per week demanding £13k for a new deal, and defenders asking for £15k when most of the squad earn £3–4k. One midfielder even pushed for £30k a week (I managed to get her down to £23k), which technically made her the highest-paid player in football history! It just feels a bit unbalanced right now.

  • Record Transfers: When breaking a world transfer record, there really should be a special pop-up or announcement. It’s a big moment — and deserves that extra bit of presentation flair to make it feel significant.

  • Player Behaviour: I’ve also seen some odd morale or behaviour logic. For instance, my right-back Riviere suddenly announced publicly that she wanted to move to a “bigger club” — which, fair enough, except it doesn’t get much bigger than United! Naturally, I transfer-listed her and sent her to the reserves for the disrespect… only for her to get upset and lose respect for me. Then other players started saying she should get a new deal, despite her never once asking for one. It’s a small issue, but those interactions could be a bit more context-aware.

Some Fun Niche Things I’d Add (My Opinion)

  • Goalkeeper Stats:
Instead of showing Pld / Conc / Ast / Yel / Red / Av R, I’d love if “Conceded” was replaced with Clean Sheets (or at least Goals). Clean sheets make more sense — and it’d be even better for finding a proper Rogério Ceni regen who can take set pieces! (I’m not joking either — last year, Kovář in one of my saves scored 6 goals and got 3 assists from set pieces.) Unfortunately, his goals weren’t recorded anywhere, which felt like a missed opportunity.

  • Testimonial Games:
I think it would be a really nice touch to have testimonial matches for retiring legends or long-serving players. Technically, I can arrange a friendly myself, but it would be great if we could offer a player a testimonial — maybe as an option in the “Talk to Player” menu — that automatically appears at the end of the season. A small addition, but a classy one.

  • Hiring Other Managers as Staff:
It would be great to have the ability to approach another manager and ask them to join your backroom staff as an assistant or coach. I get that it’s not always realistic at the top level, but if I’m managing Barcelona or Manchester United, surely a manager from the National League, or someone recently sacked, would jump at the chance to join the setup.

One thing I am curious about, though — why has the player profile header changed from “Player’s Club / Player / League” to “Player’s Club / Player / Nation”? It feels like a strange tweak when the old layout made more sense.

Lastly, a Thank You

Anyway, lastly, a huge thank you to all the SI Games staff, and especially @Marc VaughanThe constant communication with players is genuinely appreciated — it makes such a difference knowing the team listens to feedback and stays engaged with the community.

I again apologise for my earlier rant — it came from a place of passion, and I’m sure I speak for many others when I say we really appreciate all the work that goes into making these games and improving them year after year.

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated.

With regards to women's wages - I'll keep an eye on this and tune accordingly, one thing to mention however is that the 'power' of the women's game is coded into FMM26 to grow over time and as such wages will rise as will transfer values, over a period of years until it reaches around 30-35% of that in the men's game. This will take a fair few years but it can be seen happening already within football and it would have seemed inaccurate not to include it in FMM (so bear that in mind - what is a 'normal' wage for a player in the women's game today would have been unheard of ten years ago etc.).

I would like to ask some questions.

1)Is there any way to unload the player pictures that the game has at the start(such as premier league player photos or psg photos?)

2)Are the cdm ratings fixed? In the past games they always had pretty low ratings is this fixed?

3)Is there any way to fix Japanese and German national teams?

Number 1, don't say "oi" that's rather rude. Don't mind helping people, but speak to me normally and I will.

Secondly, use Google, its not hard to find a range of facepacks, just put in, fm26 women's facepack megapack

Hi Mark Vaughan,

Firstly, I truly appreciate your response. It does mean a lot that someone ‘cares’ about my concerns over a game, that rightly or wrongly, is an important part of my life even though now I am married and I do not have the time to play it as much as I wish 😊 Cheers to you…

You are correct about the regulations (which I do appreciate wholeheartedly being included in this game seeing as I deeply care about realism) and you are correct about the cyclical nature of teams in how they approach transfer windows. My issue is that generally in FMM 26 no team really goes ‘crazy’ and binges despite years of good practice. And if they do go crazy, they often buy unnecessary squad players, or cast offs from other big clubs rather than going for the true stars of the game. As you have rightly noted, larger clubs *should* be somewhat immune to these regulations because of their higher revenue (PSR) and the lure of champions league football, which you and I can both agree is still quite paramount in how players move in reality and should be reflected more astutely in this game. If a club such as Monaco for example, has a tough season and does not qualify for the champions league, Folarin Balogun and/or other starts at the club would likely be very open to a move to a club that is in the champions league. And Monaco should not make it that hard for said players to leave-rather than asking for 140M they should realistically acknowledge the loss of champions league football and be open to fair offers (due in some part to revenue losses). In cases of this nature, a  25-50M transfer fee *should* cover that.

Additional, money talks too. English clubs may have PSR constraints but they are the richest clubs in the world right now. Bournemouth signed star Brazilian forward, Evanilson from Porto (for 30M!). Fulham have the Mexican number one Striker in Raul Jiminez. Sunderland just signed Granit Xhaka for crying out load-that would never ever happen in FMM. Even Crystal Palace signed Yeremy Pino-arguably one of the top young stars in the game-he did not with Athletico or Real Madrid-he went to Crystal Palace. This reflects the higher level of financial power that the premier league has and let’s be honest it is not reflected at all in this game.

In the specific case of Livramento-don’t get me wrong he is a great player-but for 121M is laughable. I respect what you are saying about clubs having a restart but there needs to be some level of reality here-Arsenal already have two world class RB’s, fair enough if they value Livramento that much, but shouldn’t they then look to sell White and/or Timber. Neither of them will be happy being a second or third choice RB. How can you justify spending $121M on a player that you won’t start because you already have Timber and White. It’s just….stupid. Fair, the Magpies are under no pressure to sell but at 121m!? Why can FMM26 not make it more realistic…using this same club-Arsenal-why would they not go after a player like say Rodrygo from Real Madrid, or Nico Williams from Bilbao or Leao from Milan. All of those would be far more realistic-especially if that’s the financial investment they are likely to make. And if Milan are asking for 240M for Leao than this game’s transfer market is truly wrecked.

This begs the question as to who actually designs the transfer market set up. There are so many current examples of players that are likely to leave their clubs for various reasons but in FMM 26 they sit. Some prime examples-Endrick at Real. He is behind Kylian Mbappe and unlikely to usurp him any time soon. It makes sense that Real Madrid want to keep him because he is the highest rated young striker-wonderkid in the world. But why wouldn’t they loan him out a season or two (just as they did with other young stars). Instead he just sits there for years behind Mbappe. Bouaddi is probably the best wonderkid in the game and he stays at Lille in almost every save for his entire career. You’re telling me that there is a club stupid enough to pay $121M for Tino Livramento but won’t take a punt on the best young MF in the game. It is so silly. Lille in real life would take 30-70M for him in a heartbeat over the next few years. Not in this game though.

Additionally, why do almost all of the players out on loan at various clubs with built in-excessively fair buy out clauses-never sign at Those clubs. I can maybe understand in the case of Rashford and Grealish that Barca and Everton perhaps cannot afford their wage demands at the present time-ish. But what about Hojlund, O’Reilly, Openda, Nic Jackson, etc. It seems silly because these deals will almost certainly happen in real life. And speaking of real life, what about free transfers. The only free transfers of any note that I have EVER seen leave in FMM 24 where I wasn’t buying them were Guido Rodriguez leaving Hispalis and Zirkzee leaving Bologna. That was it. In FMM 26 there are heavy hitters available for free in the summer of 2026. It is crazy to me that Bernardo Silva, Konate, Vlahovic, et al ALL sign on with their same clubs. A lot of players leave on free transfers and it would be nice if in some cases FMM 26 reflected this reality. Man City almost always let their players go once they hit 30 (look at De Bryune last year) and yet they always sign B.Silva.

Two more points of contention for now-GK’s are usually the only players that are sold over 150M in the game. This is highly unrealistic and silly. In FMM 24 I would regularly sell (or see Brighton sell) Bart Verbruggen for 150M+. Almost always to Man City who would spend this despite having Edersen whom they would continue playing for more seasons as the number one. Goalkeepers should not be the ones that clubs want to buy for 125-150M, can we agree on this? That should be reserved for the stars of the game. Lastly, you see a lot of transfers between sworn enemies. Barca and Madrid (I know Figo did it once but come on!), Liverpool-Man Utd. It usually involves squad players too. Why does Joe Gomez for example always go to Man Utd or Tottenham. Why would another big 6 team want  a player who cannot make it into the Liverpool team at all, but would easily fit in at Bournemouth, Brentford, Leeds, Wolves, Everton etc. Realistically, Mid level clubs sign back up players or young players who realistically will not make the cut at said top teams (Doak as an example) from the top teams. The top teams do not sign each others scraps unless they are truly special.

Any way I have a lot of opinions on this 😊I have closed off the first transfer window (in all of my games Livramento still signs with Arsenal). And while the stupid first year transfers do not happen, it does not stop the stupidity in later transfer windows. There are even many transfer windows in this game where the highest fee spent is less than 50M. That seems unrealistic and generally just stupid.

As stated above, I am married now and so FM Touch was the more ‘user-friendly’ version of the game that I played for years. I apologize if I did not make the distinction in my previous note, but I am 46 years old and so a game that is quicker, easier and more user friendly is crucial for me. FMM is now that version-I wish the add manager option was available for the reason stated earlier. I could, in effect, fix the stupidity of certain clubs at any given time, to make the game more competitive and more challenging. I truly wish that option was available here.

Mark-I really appreciate the dialogue and the debate. I am passionate about this topic and I truly respect you commenting on it and offering your two cents, even if you disagree with my sentiments. Hopefully we can continue.

My wife actually said the other day ‘oh I think you’re right’ and did a double-triple take back at her thinking that I was being tested. 😊 It was a nice moment lol.

Anyone else having an issue with wage budget. I start with Liverpool and have £148m transfer budget and £190K wage budget. I adjust the slider to £104m transfer budget and £1.04m wage budget. When I save the game, close and then load up the save, my budgets are then £104m transfer budget and £194K wage budget!

You'll see some tweaks in this regard in the final pre-xmas update that we'll do, I'm continually trying to improve and tune such things - but I tend not to rush them into the wild because the most important thing for users is that the game is sane and stable (and quite honestly when development any sort of flexible AI based system its incredibly easy to shoot yourself in the foot ;) ).

PS - If you're interested in learning a little about how the AI operates in the game then by all means message me and I'd be happy to discuss it further, do bear in mind that I can't (for obvious reasons) go into full detail - but I can give you the general overview

The injury issue only occurs for a fairly rare situation (7+ first team players injured in your squad) and an update resolving that will be available next week (presuming it passes store submission quickly).

The wage budget issue is mainly down to specific circumstances involving adjusting budget - a secondary update containing a fix for that will be incoming in an update after the first one, however most users appear to be able to enjoy the game without too much effect from this issue.

Apologies that they're affecting your playing style so severely - obviously we'd have preferred a fully bug free release.

Thanks for the response to them 2 issues, really appretiated. Yeah, I agree, the wage issue does only seem to be after adjusting, which when playing as a bigger club, you can get away with not having to do it.

Great to hear that there are updates coming up and great to see how committed you are to getting the game right for the players.

Really appretiated and definitely has the basis to be a great game 👌

My Input

Have to say now I've completed nearly 3 seasons. In Swedens second division North (maybe 4th tier) got FC Trollhatten to the Swedish Cup Final, currently top of the league.

The game is absolutely incredible 👏 I have England (men and women's league) Denmark, Netherlands, and Sweden loaded up. Its amazingly fast, I can't see many bugs. The only pet hate i have is the loading time everytime I load up the game. The skin is pretty good on the eye. I like the added training thing, pretty cool. Find it alot easier to use then previous versions. For me, this has to be the best FM (sports interactive) have made. I personally think they have saved the game. Loving the women's side of things. Never heard of any of them before this came out. Swedish league is mint, love it. I have over 220k of player pics, so maybe that's helped alot. The actual pitch seems slick and alot faster then last years. Players are doing what I ask of them. I really can not complain at all, just the loading screen is a bumber. Once that gets sorted. Happy days.

Just like to say a big thank you to @Marc Vaughanand your team. You really have gone up and beyond on this addition. Things can only get better and I do believe this forum and our future as a mobile game is going to grow and grow 🙌

I have noticed that sometimes, particularly towards end of the game my game effectively freezes when I click tactic button in bottom right corner.. Well it does not freeze so to speak as match goes on but both tactic and play/pause button are greyed out.. I can however fix it by clicking the subs button

Hi. Unsure where to put this as I've been looking for a place for player information. CA / PA anything everything about any particular player but can't really find a place that offers anything.

The guy who made the AM24. - is he making one for this year's game? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

started playing since yesterday. Created a team on MyClub. Everything working fine. Started playing, played 8-7 matches. Closed and saved.

I'm trying to start up again and whenever I load the recent saved game, it gives me probably 3 minutes before just crashing and closing the app.  I try re open, and try to save a new game in case the last save is corrupted maybe, but when it is saving, it crashes again.

Help!

Ratings really need to calm down.

Playing as Wrexham, last game Vs QPR. Was leading, had a man sent off on 50mins.

Made some subs, conceded a penalty in the 90th then they scored a last minute winner. 6 of my players with 4 or 5.

I'd only expect that if we got trounced, not a relatively close game

Cup game for instance, again lost in added time to a clearly better team. But come on, 5 players with a 5, just seems overly harsh for a close game
