Ah gutted wanted to do a save with bordeaux (france) but you can only manage up to there 3rd league 😕 gutted

I just finished my first save as Manchester United. We finished third in the premier League! Take a look at the league table. I think it's weird that I had by far the best defense, but we were in relegation form for our goal scoring...

I've included the tactic that I use primarily. I tried to replicate the 3421 that United use now under Ruben Amorim.

Just a minor nit-pick here. If I was Man Utd manager, I’d happily sign a decent squad player who can cover all 4 to 5 positions across DRLC.

Plus I’m not really sure Man Utd deserve to be called a ‘top 6’ club anymore (‘big 6’ yes) 😉

Hello guys, can you help me out? Does anyone know whether the facegen.fmf file for fm 24 mobile works for fm 26 mobile? I've tried it and copied it into the graphics folder but it seems like it doesn't work

This is my first post on the platform but I've been active in the community since FM16. Fell in love with the game and never looked back. I've been so eagerly awaiting this new release, needless to say, I'm very disappointed. 

 

The game has been uplayable for me, not necessarily because it's basically an update and not at all a new game, but the bugs man 😩

 

The most glaring one for me, the cache reload feature. I use a lot of graphic files for my game, the DF11 facepack alone is about 8GB, not to mention the logo, kit and newgen facepacks. In previous iterations, I know my initial launch of the game will be tedious as all those files have to be registered, once I reload, I'm good to go.

 

NOW, the game reads the files on every single launch as the reload feature is borked! This can take anywhere between 10-20 minutes. Just knowing that I'll have to wait that long to enjoy the game every single time creates a huge mental block for me. Maybe it's just me but that makes the game completely unplayable. I uninstalled the game and reverted to 24.

 

They haven't addressed this issue and it seems to me their priority are the PC and console versions of the game. I'll give it another try if/when they update and fix those issues, till then, I'm sticking with FM24.

I just finished my 1st season (playing London City Lionesses). My takeaways:

• I really like the new version: All my normal techniques still seem to work, there are nice little tweaks here and there, I know others have hit bugs but I haven't.
• I really like the women's game: so many wonderkids for next to nothing, lots of development, reckon I could get a player to score a LOT of goals, great to play a new club - but just not enough games in season (only 27 including cup although we didn't go that far).

I don't think I'll continue with this career, even though I'm attached to my players. I need a team where we play more games than that. 

Maybe I'll do a Barcelona women's save and try for a 1KC (they have 30 league games in Spain which might feel more normal). Or maybe I should try the men's game either by returning to my old friend Celtic for a goal scoring challenge, or by going back to Newcastle or Oxford. Pondering right now.

Oh ffs, have the game dumbed down our players? I just had a guy loosing the ball on the kick off, he just stood there with the ball until an adversary came and took it.

Our opponents are pressing our players like hell, ours just stand back and wait for them to do what they want to do even with closing down always and hard tackling.

And the next very highlight my Wing Back just... cleared the ball?

Why? Why... Just why?

It's beggining to be really hard to not drop the game. I feel like our players where dumbed down. They don't follow instructions. Players who are not under pressure just shooting balls to outside of the stadium, players not closing down our opponents, all my three centre backs running behind the lone striker allowing our opponents midfielders to just enter our box all alone.

This is happening on every match. The game is already harder because our opponents are better at pressing, and that's good, but ffs making our team stupid just isn't right.

As a Boavista fan... i can´t too. But i choosed Leixoes in second league. Boavista is present in the game... After 3 seasons they were promoted to 2nd league, so i leave Leixoes, after won premierleague and a champions league :).

It's an honour to be quoted by you, sir! Your tactics have lead me to some incredible feats (Aberdeen winning 4 Scottish titles in a row plus the champions league by season 4 and I never spent more than 1M on any player!) All down to you (but also no bigger clubs unrealistically and shockingly coming in for my players-which is another matter I am discussing with Mark Vaughan). 

I take your point about Gomez, but again realistically he should end up at Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, Nottm Forrest-not Old Trafford. 

 

May I ask when you think your FMM 26 tactics will be ready to go?

Interesting thing, so I decided to share it.

I started a career with Karlsruhe.

The team was really bad, and the budget too.

I searched for players whose contracts expire at the start of the new year — all Japanese — and I signed 14 of them.

Now I basically have the Japanese national team. The players are above the league’s level, and I’m dominating easily.

FMM26 is an update for FMM24 rather than a new game

If true then that's such a cop out. It's never a new game they release. It's always an 'update' but you always have the option of going back to the previous game. That being said, it really wouldn't surprise me if they did come out with that.

This time it is an actual update, as in it is the same entry on Google Play and uses the same folder in Android Data etc. It's literally the same app as far as Android is concerned. 

Marc explained why somewhere - I believe it was too make it easier for people to continue saves from 24.

Instead of having to export the saves from FMM24 to Documents (or wherever you chose it to be saved), then exporting an eg save from FMM26 so as to create the FMM26 documents folder and then finding the first folder and then copying the saves from there and then pasting them in the second folder and then going back to FMM26 and then importing that save and then loading the save... 

well instead of all that, the saves are just there. Makes sense, but the cost is that there is no going back to FMM24.

For some reason almost all players are wanted by other clubs, but fear not as they don't want to leave

Can’t you just accept the bids then when it asks for confirmation you just cancel and it avoids all this?

Anyone else noticed that all the USA players are Spanish speakers? At least it is the case for women's game where USA are a lot more common when playing European leagues. The link below seems to explain the reason, not that much of an impact for me but had me a bit confused when my scouts kept telling me about the USA players ability to speak English.

My initial save with Everton women had all or almost all of my youth players was wanted and mostly by Man City. I promoted a few right away to make sure they didn't get poached but even with the remaining ones none received offers before making final calls on who to release or promote.

So uh does anyone have this problem where suddenly saving and loading slows down (abt 3x slower) and then loading can only be done once before the game crashes?

 

I.e. if i load the game, play a game, exit to main menu and load the game again, it crashes!

Its frustrating cos it makes it hard for me to test variations of a tactic in the same match over and over again
