Chat About Inverted Fullback

I don't know if this is intentional to make it different from the full FM version (or even a bug?) but Inverted Fullback is NOT supposed to be a defensive version of Inverted Wingback.

Inverted Fullback in possession is supposed to drift into a CB and not a DM, you can barely tell the difference between IFB and IWB right now.

Two years in development i was underwhelmed by the lack of new things tactically but because of IFB and WCB can change a lot of things i was still very excited! But now I can't even replicate basic 3-2-5 / W-M shape that are used by almost every single teams in Europe.

What thoughts do you guys have on the new roles? do you guys like it?

I am not sure if its just my tactic but i dont see my WCB moving very wide either?

Feels abit like the devs just prompted some coding agent to create 2 new positions, didnt really play test and then called it a day.

2 years of work!

Disagree with the WCB part. I was testing a tactic and used Tosin (Chelsea) as a WCB, and he strayed off to the flanks to receive a long pass. Wide CenterBack works when you are in possession and when you use an attacking full back (FB, WB)

If you’d like a change to the IFB role - please post it here on the official SU forums as we are discussing EXACTLY that !

Ten started a conversation with the game’s lead developer about it - see two screenshots of the conversation below …

oh that's actually nice, idk why i assumed that no one talked about it in SI forum just because it's kinda quiet in here

If anyone has screenshots of the IFB not doing what they want it to be doing - please do post it on that link above (official SI forum)

Please include which club you were, which shirt number the IFB is (or circle it!), what mentality you used, and a screenshot of your tactic’s main page.

Thanks! 🙂

That’s not my experience at all, my WCBs are playing pretty much as wing backs in possession. Going forward more than the BPDs, they even overlap the wide midfielders.

WCBs are majorly for back 3 formations where you have 3 CBs. The wide CBs are then placed on the left and right sides respectively.

I'm sorry, I didn't get a picture of the tactic as I experiment a lot.
