Chat Positioning/Roles

You've got too many outfield players 😉But other than that, the movement for those positions would be from the following roles:

1 & 3 would be the new wide centre back role

2 would be libero

4 & 5 would be wingback

10 & 9 are a bit more tricky - as they're on the 2nd row you really only have Roaming Playmaker that goes forward (box to box isn't available in that position). The other roles tend to stay where they are or are more defensive

Similar with 6 - it's too far forward to be a defensive midfielder so you're really left with Box to box or Roaming playmaker (which you really don't need if 9 and 10 are already RP)

There's not really a role that makes 7 & 8 drift wide - you could leave them as Central Midfielder or set one/both to Ball Winning Midfielder. If you move them out to the wing then you could have them as wide midfielders or defensive wingers

11 you could use either Deep Lying Forward or Trequartista

Agree on the points above. I’d say DLP (or Anchor) is your central choice, but that’ll only drop down to DMC position (not DMC).

Also for your 2x DMCs, right now RO roles are the only ones who move forward a lot (in-possession) but maybe in future they’ll add a B2B role in DMC !

Plus I’m not sure why you'd want the Libero + DLP / Anchor to swop positions (in-possession) 🤷

I honestly didn’t notice that! Good spot!

Thanks for the help. My stupid question stems from the fact that I don't know how the individual roles move in a given slot. Very little is written about some roles, such as how the individual roles move in the DM slot and what the difference is between the individual CB roles.
