It was always a great tactic then possibly lost it's way for a while if I remember correctly, however it's working fantastic for me again in the test I've just finished.

I played 27 league games and can't be bothered finishing the test as I want to start a career using it now. I only used the current Liverpool squad and made no improvements at all.

The only changes I made in game were in the following scenarios.

If the opposing team played defensive and narrow and not much was happening in the game after 30 minutes, I switched from narrow to balanced and my team would perform significantly better.

If I wasn't winning after 60 minutes, I would go attacking, balanced width, and expressive. As you can see from the league table, I only drew 1 game.

I'll keep the save for a short time incase anyone wants any more info.

I tried the old corner tactic that was ridiculously good at one point in time where you have 1 player marking the opposition keeper, 1 at the near post and 1 at the far post. Corner aimed at penalty spot. I scored 0 goals from those positions 🙄

I think I only scored 3 or 4 goals from corners in all 35 games in all competitions, and they were just random people scoring from knockdowns and that type of thing.

If anyone has a good corner set up, please do share.

My front 3 in the league was Isak left IF, Wirtz SS, and Salah right IF.

This tactic is great, took Swedish team from third division (DIV1N) to win the cup first season and also won division to now sitting clear top to go up to first divison in season two. Crazy good tactic.

Use to love this tactic, didnt always score loads but was solid!! Love the shape of it and enjoy playing with a SS (not enough tactics using them imo) .... quick question though, if the team played "significantly" better balanced then why not stick with it or was it purely dependant on what your opponent was playing? 

Genuine question, not tryna come across awkward.

That's fine mate. Because I like the idea of playing narrow and more compact. I feel it should be defensively more solid, and that was how the original tactic was played. It's only if I need a goal then I'll play a little more open to get the goal. If I started the game on balanced and end up losing or with a score draw, I'd be kicking myself and questioning my decision to start that way 😂

I will say of all the tactics I've tested this year, this one is definitely the best - results wise. Of course I prefer higher scoring tactics generally but none of them are as consistent for me.

Nah that makes sense ... im perservering with it, getting there!! Who you using as RP? Found this version of fmm they arent as good as '24

I used Szoboszlai as my RP. He was also my free kick taker and corner taker so that helped his assists, goals and general ratings. My team got very good very quickly though so i'm going to start again with a more challenging team.

Which team are you?

Im using Juventus, had pretty much all the players available for this formation. Using Jonathan David and Openda (even though i dont usually keep hold of loanees) as my SS, its going alright tbh.

Have you tested this with lower league teams, or would they be too vulnerable? How did you play this against stronger sides or at least equal strong sides?

Dont know what happened here but out of nowhere this tactic stopped working!! The most important thing about it is that it conceded very few chances/goals!! Seen a few things where people have said the AI in the game figures it out, could be thay!?
