2013 Getting older FM Handheld versions to work (2013, etc)

Hi all,

I really enjoyed some of the old handheld versions of FM like 2013 and 2014. I had previously purchased the games on the Google Play Store, so I still have access to them, and have managed to install them on my current phone using a virtual machine application. However they always attempt to download some of the data files from one of SI Games's old servers (I'm guessing), and when that fails the game exits.

Does anyone know of a way to bypass this or at least find the files from somewhere and copy them over manually so these older FMH games will work?

I have all the old ones in my apple account. I’m pretty sure till FM18 it runs fine. Once it gets to FM17 the screen display is all messed up and then 16 I have downloaded and just crashed every time. So I’d say if you want to play the old ones you will need to have an old phone with old firmware and have it downloaded which sounds near impossible lol but if you find a way let me know

It's all good - I can get them working on my new phone via a virtual machine app. But it's the sheer fact that they're trying to download files from a server somewhere that no longer exists, and when it cannot access it, the game exits. So yeah, if I can get my hands on all the data files outside of that, I should be able to get it working 🤞
