Posted November 30 Hey guys, welcome back! This time I’m gonna share a tactic I’ve learned from Sean Dyche. This may not be as similar as in real life because it is very complex but I tried to make it as similar as possible Using this adapted Sean Dyche–style 4-2-3-1, I managed to win the UEFA Europa League and the Carabao Cup in my first season, plus a 4th-place finish in the Premier League. At one point, we even went 21 matches unbeaten in the middle of the season. For a Forest squad, that’s honestly insane. I only Buy one goalkeeper which is cheap to strengthen my Squad cause Mat Sels is Downgrading. TACTICAL APPROACH This tactic is basically Dyche-ball : compact, direct, and brutally efficient. The 4-2-3-1 shape gives you that extra man between the lines, while still keeping the classic Dyche principles, strong defensive block, fast counters, and no-nonsense structure. the most important in this formation is your striker ho has areial and strength to be target man, and two pivot whos play DLP and BWM to control the game, in forest fortunately we have elliot Anderson and Yates. So, try this tactic and share with me your result Strengths : - Extremely difficult to break down defensively due to the deep, compact shape and two screening midfielders. - Highly effective at neutralizing teams that rely on pace in behind or intricate passing through the middle. - Poses a constant threat from long balls and set-pieces due to the focus on a physical Target Man. - Conserves energy by not pressing high up the pitch, allowing the team to maintain intensity for 90 minutes. - Simple and clear instructions mean players can easily understand their roles, leading to strong tactical discipline. Weakness : - Can struggle to create chances if the Target Man is effectively marked out of the game. - May concede large amounts of possession and territory, inviting sustained pressure. - Vulnerable to teams with world-class creative players who can unlock a deep block with moments of individual brilliance. Recomended Tweaks : - If the opposition's full-backs are pushing high, change the Wingers to Defensive Wingers to pin them back and exploit the space they leave. - Against a team playing with a skillful #10, change the Ball Winning Midfielder's marking to 'Man Marking' to nullify their main creative threat. - If your Target Man is winning every header but has no support, change the CAM to a Shadow Striker to make more aggressive runs beyond him. Enjoy ! 3 Quote Report Share
Posted November 30 That is impressive. 4231 is my favourite formation and I'm always failing to create one in this game. 0 Quote Report Share

Posted November 30 Damn bro congratulations. I just won Serie A with Bologna using a 4231 but with way different approach and tactic. Missing out on the Premier League title just one point away and without new signings for Nottingham is very impressive. Hats off. 0 Quote Report Share

I'm just trying to replicate Sean Dyche's tactics here, specifically for Forest's last few games. Unfortunately, it's pretty much impossible to perfectly match it to real life because the game engine here is limited. But hey, I think it's working well enough with this average squad 1 Quote Report Share
