I wanted a chat where those playing saves with the newly added women's football can discuss thing that are more specific to women's football in the game and not FMM26 in general.

Marc said on one of the chats that the women's game is set so that fees and wages rise more quickly than in the men's game to simulate the increase in money coming into the women's game in real life.

Have haven't got far enough into a save to see how this might typer off or stabilise to a more moderate season on season increase.  With young players it makes release clauses very interesting. I have had release clauses set at double their value when signing a player in Jan and by the end of the season because they developed well, their value was double their release clause. For that same reason I have been able to exploit that to sign players for much less than their market value because their increase in value from when they signed the contract and increased quickly.

What strategies have others used to deal with this?

The bidding wars are crazy, the US teams and London City really splash the cash. Teams are bidding in the 60k - 80k range and London City just come in with 600k. A keeper I tried to sign (looking to have an offer less than 100k accepted ended up going to Angel City for 1.5m. As soon as I see a player with 5 or 6 teams interested in them, I know that my chances are slim.

Has anyone tried lining up 5 players or so for the position you need and bidding one by one in lease preferred to most preferred to get the other clubs out the way so you can sign your first choice player? I had to bid on 5 different keepers before signing someone, I don't know if I had gone in reverse order I might have been able to get my first choice rather than 5th choice.

I haven't really struggled to sign players but I'm playing as London City so that might be why. Not spent a fortune but not really been drawn into bidding wars that often either.

I'm currently at West Ham women's team, as caretaker, after a horrendous spell at a Swedish mens 2nd division team 😅

I'm really enjoying it. They have a great team, and it's a super competitive league I think. Hopefully they keep me on next season 🤞🏻

There has been chat in the general discussion group about coaching and the training units, I thought I would share some women's football related ideas.

I have found that the small pool of coaches means that there may be an area where the options are limited, defensive and youth are the ones I have struggled with. The other challenge is that the compensation for poaching a coach is the same as with the men's teams but transfer budgets are so small that you can wipe out the entire transfer budget just upgrading your coaching set up.

Two things I have done:

1. Make myself a coach when I set up a career and make it the discipline that is hard to hire for (e.g. defensive).

2. Hire international coaches as there is no compensation required.

Hope this is helpful, what have other players done in their women's football saves regarding coaching?

I haven't played much yet as I've been busy working on my scouting app, but my first save was with London City Lionesses (only a season or two). It was great fun and really felt fresh somehow. Still definitely FMM, but lots of things felt different. So many wonderkids available for next to nothing!

I enjoy it as it almost feels like a throwback with the low fees and limitations.

Makes it interesting and different to the norm.

Speaking of women's football saves and coaching, I'm surprised no one here at Vibe has noticed and is discussing the bug, I have filed it to SI forums back when this year version was released, but as of 26.1.1 it has not yet been squashed

The jist of the bug is that at the start of the save, every women team coaching and scouting staffs would be kicked out to free agency, and be replaced by a randomly generated staffs, with wacky names, nationality, and always with low reputation. The physio team is unaffected, and in saves with combined database, the men team staffs is also unaffected

First I've heard of this - but I've replicated it here, leave it with me I'll get it sorted, it appears they have their club set to Everton but aren't in the relevant non-playing area ... I'll look into it.

@Marc Vaughan have you been able to find a resolution for this issue with the coaches and scouts for the women's teams when starting a save?

This hasn't been fixed in any updates yet and it isn't just you. The coaches that are meant to be part of your staff show in the staff search and as employed by your club but on their profile it has the offer job button but it doesn't do anything. None of the random generated staff have ever been worth keeping because like you said their reputations are low but also their aptitude is normally poor as well.

Hopefully the next update can sort this.

Does anyone know what the Serie A Femminile transfer window is? I don't have it as a playable league, 5 selected are WSL, NWSL, Liga F, Frauen-Bundesliga, French Premiere Ligue, and I'm managing Everton.

I'm in my second season and I sold a player to Roma and they agreed terms (late June, early July) and it showed as future to Roma. It is now September and the WSL transfer window has closed and the player is still on my books and showing future transfer to Roma.

I reluctantly sold Brosnan during my first season when I had competing bids come in. NWSL's Angel City won the bidding and I was able to check that with the NWSL windows the transfer would go through in late January, late in the WLS winter transfer window but I could budget for only getting the transfer fee then when planning my replacement. Serie A Femminile isn't a playable league so I can't seem to check their transfer windows and I don't know when this transfer to Roma will happen and when I get the agreed fee. Luckily I got a good fee out of Arsenal for Fernandez so I wasn't short of funds this window.

An update on the transfer of my player to Roma. It went through on the 26th of December, I agreed the sale in late June or early July.
