Great tactics working really well for me atm. I started using it half way during the season I was 4/5 and was a few points off top. First game I won 5-2 ended up winning the league only losing 2 games and a 2 draws

well, how do you feel about this tactic?

Great working tactic at the moment.I still in the middle of testing it but for now always getting message due to poor shot-stopping from Raya, so do U have any suggestion to improve my GK rating such as GK attribute for this tactic

L'ho provato durante la stagione del galatasaray. In campionato non ho perso una sola partita, ma in Champions League ho avuto difficoltà anche negli incontri verdi.

It's important to arrive at the CL in top form. Rotate players who are in better condition without favoring the star player who arrives at the match in poor physical condition.

You've noticed something very peculiar. I struggle with this too. I manage to compensate by removing the starting GK when the ratings aren't positive by playing the reserve, or if I see that he's negative during halftime, I scold him.

The GK's rating increases with the number of saves he makes. This tactic likely leaves opponents with few opportunities, and the GK doesn't make saves that raise his rating.

Referring to other tactic creators who provide detailed usage guidelines, I was wondering if you could share with us.
In particular, it would be very helpful to know:
  • Recommended coaching staff setup
  • Player role and attribute requirements (minimum and maximum)
  • Team talks
  • Training advice (both individual training and match preparation)
  • Any in-match tactical tweaks or adjustments especially when facing unexpected opponent tactics
This kind of guidance would really help users get the most out of the tactic. Thanks in advance.

To help those who use the tactic I explain its functionality in detail.

ANALYSIS ABUSE CPU (4-3-3 Bielsa Abuse CPU – FM26 Mobile)

This tactic is a 4-3-3 inspired by Marcelo Bielsa’s football, designed to exploit the weaknesses of the FM26 Mobile CPU through high tempo, total pressing, and constant attacking volume. It is not a control tactic, but one of continuous aggression.

TACTICAL STRUCTURE Formation: 4-3-3 with a holding midfielder The team is set up with a Deep-Lying Playmaker in front of the defence, two central midfielders (one box-to-box and one more balanced), and three attackers with pressing duties. The structure is vertical and compact, designed to win the ball back quickly and attack immediately.

MENTALITY Mentality: Attacking The team is always oriented forward. There are no passive phases: every ball recovery immediately turns into an attacking action. This forces the CPU to defend deep and under constant pressure throughout the match.

WIDTH Width: Wide Wide attacking width stretches the CPU defensive line, creating central corridors for box-to-box runs, long shots, and second balls. This is a key component of the abuse.

TEMPO Passing Tempo: Fast The tempo is intentionally high to prevent the CPU from reorganising. Attacks are quick, direct, and continuous. This is one of the core pillars of the tactic.

CREATIVITY Creative Freedom: Disciplined Players follow the system and do not improvise. The mechanical repetition of actions makes the tactic more effective against the CPU, which struggles to adapt to repeated patterns.

DEFENSIVE PHASE Defensive Line: High Closing Down: All Over Tackling: Normal Offside Trap: Yes Time Wasting: No A high defensive line keeps the team compact and helps to win the ball back immediately. Total pressing across the pitch forces the CPU into mistakes. Normal tackling maintains intensity without risking cards. The offside trap fits perfectly with high pressing, and time wasting is disabled to maintain constant tempo.

ATTACKING PHASE (FINAL THIRD) Shoot On Sight: On Run At Defence: On Work Into Box: Off Immediate shots are encouraged, exploiting poor CPU positioning. Attackers run at defenders to force errors or deflections. No slow build-up is used; attacks finish quickly.

PASSING Passing Style: Short Passing Focus: Both Flanks Short passing keeps the team compact and supports high tempo. Both flanks are used to stretch the CPU defence and create space centrally.

GOALKEEPER Goalkeeper Distribution: Short The goalkeeper plays short to maintain a high defensive line and restart attacks immediately without allowing the CPU to reorganise.

PLAYER ROLES Attack: Left Pressing Forward Central Pressing Forward Right Pressing Forward

Midfield: Deep-Lying Playmaker (DLP) Box-to-Box Midfielder (BBM) Central Midfielder (CM)

Defence: Right Full-Back (FB) Central Defender (CD) Ball-Playing Defender (BPD) Left Full-Back (FB)

Goalkeeper: Goalkeeper

WHY IT WORKS AGAINST THE CPU Tempo too high for the CPU to handle Constant pressing all over the pitch Width disrupts the defensive shape Immediate shots and second balls Tactical discipline and repeated patterns Continuous midfield runs The FM26 Mobile CPU cannot sustain this intensity for 90 minutes.

LIMITATIONS High stamina consumption Squad rotation is required Slow centre-backs may struggle with through balls Against the CPU, the chances created vs chances conceded ratio is heavily in your favour.

I also removed role as a deep-lying playmaker, mobile playmaker, and advanced playmaker. I noticed that the team always seeks out the playmaker, and since he positions himself independently of the three different central roles, he tends to cause the team to over-build centrally, losing play on the wings (for those who choose to play on the wings). Without the playmaker, you have a more disciplined presence when not in possession and more variability when in possession. The right-center-left variability is a tactical point that the CPU struggles greatly.

Do you plan to make any changes or updates to DLP role in this abuse tactic?Or try to change the striker role into Tq to make him roam more around attacking midfield area

Good morning friends, I want to let you know that I have withdrawn the Abuse Cpu Bielsa tactic for a very specific reason. I noticed that the tactic behaves differently depending on the league you are playing in. In some leagues it performs well, in others it performs worse, and in some it gets completely destroyed, such as in the Argentine league. I don’t know why: the players don’t shoot, they don’t run, they don’t defend—it becomes flat. And this is a problem that clearly doesn’t depend on the tactic itself, but probably on some hidden setting that customizes the different leagues.

That said, I also noticed that this year a back four doesn’t work. You concede a huge number of goals through the middle, because the two centre-backs don’t step out or follow the striker, and there is constantly a through ball straight down the centre. So I decided to withdraw this as well, because on FM26 Mobile, unfortunately, after extensive testing—and also with the help of two friends who test my tactics—we’ve come to the conclusion that a back four simply doesn’t work this year on Football Manager 26 Mobile. The two defenders don’t track the central striker making runs. There’s not much you can do about it.

So I’m moving forward with a new project, a new development, no longer based on a back four. But before putting it online, I want to test it across several different leagues. In my opinion, a tactic must be functional, consistent, and applicable in any league. I don’t want to see a tactic that works perfectly in the Italian league, where everyone runs and shoots, then I go to the Argentine league with Boca Juniors—a strong team—and the tactic no longer works. Then I try the Belgian league and it works brilliantly, I go to the Danish league and it stops working again. To me, these things are absurd. This shouldn’t happen, and it certainly doesn’t depend on the tactic, but on something inside the game engine.

As soon as I manage to understand these dynamics, I will put the new tactic online.

Can you give me your current tactics and roles? I'll be testing them in the Galatasaray team.

That’s interesting - as 2x DCs has had a problem defending against a central striker since FMM23 and even FMM21.

  • To solve this - tactics guru @rseven previously advised to play the DRC in the central slot (so the back four looks like: DL, DLC, DC, DR), though I haven’t tested this myself on any FMM version

  • Also sometimes I’ve turned on man-marking for the DRC, though never systematically looked into how effective this is

Just two ideas for you and your friends to play around with 🙂

My solution in fmm26 is 3dcs + 1dmc/mc

Or 2 DMCs + 2DCs

Oppure 2 DMC + 2DC

I noticed something. I'm testing the new tactic, an overloaded 4-1-4-1, an overloaded tactic nonetheless, but I noticed something new. The defense is a wall. I'm playing with two spacers, two central defenders who build up play, a GS, two inverted wingers on the midfielders' line, and two neutral CMs in the center, narrow width. The problem of the defenders not covering well seems to have been solved, as the two inverted wingers when not in possession become two full-backs. The full-backs close in, becoming two more central defenders, and a real wall is created.

😂😂😂

Thanks Leeds, we're trying, but every now and then new things come out from everyone who tries to devise tactics. One constant remains, however: the swearing.
