  1. On June 2017, Manchester United signed Victor Lindelöf. Little did the club or the country knew that was part of the plan of the Vikings. The Scandinavian knew that in order to invade England, the best entry point would be Manchester, the part where the locals believed where all the best warriors lived. One year on, the Vikings decided it is the perfect time to launch an attack. “Linda”, as they nicknamed their spy, opened the tower gate and let the Scandinavian warriors rushed into the city. The Manchester army put up their best effort to resist but ultimately lost to the fierce Vikings. But the Vikings did not stop from here. Their ambition is to conquer the whole England, and then the world. There were also big arguments as to who shall be the King, who shall lead the conquest. In the end, the army decided: to make Christian Eriksen the King, because they believe he is one of the best warriors in the world. The king quickly made the sacred number 7 of Manchester his. King But for Warlord, they think Joshua King, who knows Manchester better since this is where he grew up, would be more suitable. Warlord
  2. Looks like the king had made the decision as to who will be the warlord!
  3. Ahhh please carry on with your challenge!! I might not have time to play in the coming few weeks so I do look forward to your progress too!!!
  4. End of First Season: Competition: FA CUP: Carabao Cup: League: Champions League: No surprise, we Vikings are the best. The only defeat in the 4 battlefront was the battle with the rebellion of Manchester. As for our King and Warlord, Obviously our King deserved all the credit for conquering England. He shall be sitting at his throne again. But our Warlord lost his race to that little Egyptian fella. According to our rules of war, he shall be banished. OBJECTIVES: Conquer England (and Defend it) Win at least 2 premier league titles back to back (1) Win at least 1 FA cup Win at least 1 EFL trophy (1) Win BPL player of the year with any "king" (see special players) three times, can be 3 separate kings. (1) Win Golden boot with any "warlord" (see special players) three times can be 3 separate warlords. Conquer Europe (and the world) Win the champions league (1) Win the club World cup (Optional) Have your "king" win world player of the year (Optional) defend your champions league title (Optional) win the Euros managing a viking nation (Sweden, Norway, Denmark) (Optional) win the world cup managing a viking nation Banished: 1. Joshua King Now it's up to the King to decide who shall be the next warlord. Of course he would like to appoint his fellow Danish warrior Dolberg to step up. However, he also recognizes the potential of the young Norwegian warrior Erling Haland. It will be a tough decision for him to make before next year battle.
  5. Got two warriors joining in the camp in January now it’s like the king and the warlord fighting against each other to be the best warrior ever😂😅
  6. Yes its the "The Vikings Cometh" challenge, I always wanted to do this!
  7. Thanks. It's nearly half way though the season. I regret so much choosing different players for king and warlord :(( It's too difficult to handle, I feel like one of them will be banished next season. And having only 20 players in the squad is not enough...I need some reinforcement in the next transfer window
  8. As you might be able to tell from my username I am a Valencia fan. It was all began of course during the Benitez's years. 2 La Liga and the Euro Cup. The pair of Argentine CB, the Baraja-Albelda partnership, the flying left winger Vicente... Aw, glory days. Tactically, Benítez’s most important change was to switch from a 4-4-2 diamond to a compact 4-2-3-1, with two defensive midfielders and wingers in Vicente and Rufete who worked for the team in both transitions. There were very few teams at the time who played with one up front. The majority of the Valencia first team squad was Spanish player. The team scored a paltry 51 league goals in the 2001/02 season, an extraordinarily low return for a title-winning side. The top scorer was Ruben Baraja, who only scored 7 goals. It was a collective team effort that won the La Liga. Ever since I play FMM I always wanted to take on challenges that can emulate Benitez's success. Gonna do something big on my first ever FMM challenge! - The Valencia CF Challenge: use a Spanish GK (Cañizares), Argentinian CB (Pellegrino/Ayala), Argentinian Attacking Midfielder (Aimar/Kily González) and Spanish Striker (Mista) - Everyone's a goal scorer challenge: Score 5+ goals with 20 unique players Some more self-made restrictions: - Except for the Argentinian CBs and AMC, all other players have to be Spainsh - Play 4-5-1 in every match - Rotate the starting 11 players every match

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

Thanks for the kind words! Indeed it was a lot of fun doing challenges, I do look to start another challenge soon! Maybe I’ll do a 1k challenge?

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

We won the final match 2:0 but Garay didn't score. He had a free kick opportunity but he put it just wide. It was so close...yet so far... But considering this is my first attempt of any FMM challenges, I should be satisfied. Gonna do more challenges!!

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

Into the last game of the league I decided to play roncaglia in CF and Toni Lato in AML against Real Madrid, the players must have felt I went crazy well...have to say this challenge needs a lot of luck. And I have been very lucky. so it’s the Spanish cup final and I need Garay to score one. I’ll give him all the free kicks and penalties. Fingers crossed!

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

April: Still on track, 4 matches to go and I need 8 goals. Mostly for defenders though. Looks like I need a miracle to complete the challenge crowded champions so I think it might be the time to play Lato and lirola as wingers. Remaining are two away games, at home against Real Madrid and Spanish cup final against Real Madrid again.

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

March: moving forward well, now it’s the central midfielder and the full backs who are lagging behind. I might have to play a defensive forward up front so as to allow the midefielders to involve more into the attack. On average I need about 2 “effective” goals per match. In the champions league quarters too and we got Liverpool, hopefully it allows us to score one or two

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

February: the risky move of playing them into unfamiliar role plays off. Traore and Gaya both scored making them closer to the target. It looks like we don’t need too many goals to complete the challenge, but the remaining goals required are the most difficult ones. into the cup final!

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

Indeed I realise he is very good in both the left winger position and the AMC position! But he scored 5 goals already so I’m dropping him for Parejo/soler at the moment 😛

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

January: finally got everyone into the scoresheet. I start to put the more defensive players into the more attacking role (eg Gaya->left wing, caramasa->amc) Hope the likes of bojan and Hernandez can reach the 5 goal target as soon as possible so I can give the striker role back to the main strikers. progressing well in the league and the cup

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

December: injury to Santi Mina who already got 5 goals, it’s not a bad thing at all as I decided to give Pablo Hernandez an unfamiliar role as a central striker! it looks a very lucky save as the main rivals in the league aren’t performing well. Won against Real Madrid where we nullify their attack and get the job done at the end. (I shall call it the Benítez way!)

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

November: A perfect opportunity presented as Celts Vigo got an early red card! our centre back Roncaglia took the chance to score two!! Finally De Paul opened his account. Now it’s like I have to drop the players who had 5 goals in order to finish the challenge keep on progressing in the Benítez way! It’s strange though Juventus is at the bottom of the group

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

October: this is way more difficult than I expected. I imagine if I am in charge of a stronger team it will be easier. The first player with 5 goals is Juan Mata!! (Yea I wish the real Juan Mata is back to Valencia, it’s Jaume Mata 😕) Still very worrying for De Paul and Pablo Hernandez Benitez’s team don’t score too many though, so I really can’t complain too much

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

September: making progress for full backs as Toni Lato scored as well. Worrying signs though for our former players De Paul and Pablo Hernandez they both missed a couple of easy chances and they look uncomfortable on the ball not too bad considering I played Barcelona and A. Madrid already

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

August: two matches into the new season. Got both the full backs into the scoresheet. Couldn’t ask for more!

    Benítez's Valencia - Double Challenge

Transfer out: Have to say it hurts so much to see Guedes and Kondogbia leave Transfer in: I always enjoy bringing players who are playing outside their own country, it's like bringing them back to their homeland! These three will be the only "Non-local" in the squad. Hate to say but De Paul, you can never be as good as Pablo Aimar🤗 All set and ready to go!
  23. I'm able to manage Slovenia with Germany, Italy, Russia and Poland :)
  24. Was trying to transfer out players, they rejected one of the transfer offer. Now they are all pending to join the club Dundalk, but without a transfer date. What can I do now? They are taking up a large chunk of wage budget and I couldn’t do anything (eg give new contract, offer to clubs)
  25. silvavilla

    Future transfer bug?

Yea hopefully...the problem is I didn’t see the offer from Dundalk. And I don’t know the exact transfer fee and the transfer date, that makes me worry. if not I might need to wait until they see out their contract😛
