  1. So, update here. Having played and earned 10 achievements in the store, I went for the coaching exam and indeed got bumped straight to gold. Spot on, Ian
  2. And so it begins. I've been appointed manager at Gloucester City, and following a meeting with the club board have informed them that I'm not happy with just avoiding relegation this season, but would like to achieve a stable mid table position. First job after finding my office and setting up the coffee machine, will be to go over the squad report with my assistant, and identify transfer targets with the scout who could help achieve a successful season.
  3. Hi folks, I'm Jim, otherwise known on various parts of the Internet as Wilberforce (or if you play Ingress, Wilberforce42). I'm new to Vibe, but I've been playing the games on and off since CM 97/98, including the last three variations of FMM. Born and raised in Southampton, I've been a supporter of the Saints since my teens. I've watched some truly epic games (the MUFC 6-3 grey kit debacle for instance) and some absolute howlers. Please don't mention Leicester. Hopefully I'll get to know you guys, not ask too many stupid questions, and have fun. Cheers.
  4. Thanks for the reply, Ian. I'm not looking too much at forum challenges yet, more the personal one of taking a job at a club like Gloucester (see my career post) and progressing from there. It would be frankly unrealistic to expect a manager with top coaching qualifications and reputation to be at such a club, so starting low appealed to me. I guess I'll have to see what happens on said career when I get to take a coaching exam.
  5. Thanks for this, it's always bugged me that PL teams had generic striped logos rather than actual ones. Easy to download and setup, too.
  6. I've decided to do a proper career game in FMM20, and for this I've chosen Gloucester City. I was born in Southampton, but lived in Gloucester for a few years before winding up in Rochdale, so I've a bit of an affinity for the Tigers. They've just had a change of management in reality, and while the game has them back at Meadow Park now rather than in Evesham, I think I can happily go with that state of affairs. Let's see how we go, eh?
  7. So, having bought FMM20, I thought I'd splurge on the all items bundle in the store, too. First time I've done this, but I had a load of Google credit (thanks, opinion rewards) and figured "why not". This leaves one question for a career though, while I can choose to have a gold coaching badge and superstar reputation, what happens if I choose bronze, say, and just a normal reputation? Will my coaching badge progress to silver and gold as I earn achievements? Sorry if this is an obvious question, but with the last couple of versions of FMM I've played, every new game I've started I've gone with the highest level of starting badge and reputation available, so once I'd earned gold coaching, that's all I used. I want to try a realistic career, taking on a lower league job and seeing what I can do.
