hhooo got a reaction from George Traistă in Goal-a-Mile: Ticket to Ride - Europe (SEASON 6)
Are you implying you can't muster a wimpy 20 gpg when push comes to shove?
-
hhooo got a reaction from broodje kip in Who are your FMM 21 must buys?
I haven't signed him but yes Edwards became extremely good in my current save.

The striker I got for free from Atalanta's reserves was every bit as guilty as my winger. He left in January but scored 53 in 26 games before that. Ended as top scorer in Ligue 1 and the europa league (both by a wide margin) despite only playing half the season. In the Europa group stage I scored 39 and conceded 2, so that was a big source as well.
Also @George TraistăTraistă if you want to know what they're eating, it's Neymar Wellington, with a nice glass of Chianti after the match.

hhooo got a reaction from Rich in My 4-2-4 gengen press tactic
Through balls, fast tempo and exclusive passing is asking for an insane amount of technical quality and vision from a lower league side. If you want them to make ambitious passes to break the lines, you need to give them time by slowing mentality and tempo. Playing expressive passes or fast tempo also works well with run at defense.
Since you don't have any natural crosses, I wouldn't bother with an instruction on crossing.
High defensive lines are generally not a good idea unless you have really good and fast defenders, which you likely don't, and if you want to play through balls, a deep line can give you more space to play into.
Closing down all over is alright as long as you have a big enough squad to cope with the extra Tiredness. However, I wouldn't pair it with committed tackling, as that will lead to tons of yellow/ second yellows and make your players tired extremely quickly. Tackling should generally be inversely related to your closing down. High pressing is a way to win the ball without tackling. Hard tackles require time to pick the right moment, and sitting back provides that time.

Do a 1k with no one further forward than the DM line

hhooo reacted to NguyenDucAnh in A complete list of Catalonian players, for my experiment.
After a thorough check, I think Kurdistan actually have a chance, since there are some Kurdish ones out there in Germany, Turkey and America. Might be even easier to make than Catalonia, since there were less players...
On a related note, I found them similar to the Uyghurs in some way, having their own cultures yet not being a independent state (or at least full autonomy). This might pique my interest too.

Every league game you play against a non-Spanish team gives you one bonus mile!

hhooo got a reaction from broodje kip in Who are your FMM 21 must buys?
This is him at game start now, was able to buy him for 1.6m, and it's he looked in a previous save where I used him at age 22.
In addition to him, several Atalanta reserve players become quite good and are very affordable, including
Marco Varnier is a Model Professional who is a solid BPD with good leadership and decisions. Valued at 2.4m

hhooo got a reaction from broodje kip in Who are your FMM 21 must buys?
I rarely ever play big teams, but Kim Tae Hwan from Suwon is a wonderful winger / WB who is two footed and has great physicals and technicals.
Sebastián Bornauw is my most frequently purchased CB this year, just excellent physicals and defensive attributes, and affordable. Usually ends up at Madrid/Bayern if you don't purchase him.

The rule is in FMM for Bilbao, you can only transfer în players that have Basque as second nationality.

Finally someone choosing the worst club in the division other than @George Traistă 😂
Good luck anyway this would be a fun one

Definitely think CCC's should play a part in this challenge 🤣

hhooo got a reaction from Dai_ in A Villains Double Trouble (Season 4)
@Dai_ you were right about Rodon! He had 3 upgrades in short order this season, even at age 26/27, and became a starter.
@Rich hopefully he'll turn out like this for you as well!

Nice guide @broodje kip I might have to try and put this into practice a bit.
I do wonder why your CDM was man-marking the striker, rather than the AMC for the Bayern game. If you want the striker marked, should you not use a CD?

About 5 games left in my season. Hopefully I'll be able to finish tonight and submit tomorrow sometime at the lastest.

hhooo got a reaction from broodje kip in FMM21 General Discussion - Winter Update Out Now
Many of them do have huge investors, and many Chinese teams are actually named after companies or banks. At the same time though, there have been laws introduced in recent years creating salary caps for foreign players and obligating any team paying a transfer fee for a foreign player to pay any equal amount of money into a local youth football organization. They are really changing gears and attempting to focus on creating Chinese superstars rather than relying on money hoses to attract Brazilian talent.

Okay, the DM moving back to cover the striker is interesting. Good to know. Thanks!

hhooo got a reaction from broodje kip in The Art of Man Marking
Nice examples and write up, but my biggest question regarding MM is how do you choose which opposition player they mark? For example, many teams the AI sets out play 3 central defenders, wingbacks, 1 forward, and 4 playmakers, similar to your Werner tactic. Are there any formations or number of play makers where you specifically choose not to MM?

hhooo got a reaction from Rich in Tanganga OP?
Don't let him sway you from tackling, both are very important. Tackling edges positioning if you play very attacking and/or a high defensive line where people will run at you, while positioning edges tackling while soaking up pressure and trying to repel crosses into the box or stop through balls. Pace can make up for positioning sometimes, but it can't make you tackle better (strength can help cover for tackling).

hhooo reacted to PoulShell in My 1st career: an attempt at Continental Conquerors
It didn't change, I also played two games in ACL round(a loss against Beijing and a draw against Melbourne), but I had 0 points to start with and got eliminated right away (the games before those were already played and Suwan lost all of them unfortunately).

Grump is the spice of life! It's better than a release clause, anyway.

Losing my star striker to Arsenal 🤮
But at least they bid too late for the deal to go through this window, so he's gone in January.
@Rich
It turns out I do have a question about this boner - if we move clubs mid season, can we use the assists so far from our chosen player, and can we choose a new assister at the new club?
