  1. I wouldn’t call it a problem. Makes it more fun to sit back and let the carnage unfold.
  2. Chat Funny FMM 2018 Moments

Had three injuries in the first half. Brutal.
  3. Chat Funny FMM 2018 Moments

Domination. very quickly into a new save, pep needs to go back to Spain already! Only one season in, and CR7 retires. Crazy!
  4. So far, I’ve had a lot of fun with this game. It’s a nice upgrade on FMM 17 with some nice additions. The one thing that I hate is the match rating system. I’ve been playing for at least a week, and they are the most random thing of all time. This is what I mean. Look at the goalkeepers. De Gea lets in one goal, gets a 6. Allison lets in three and gets an 8. What. I can’t think of a reason for this. It makes it so frustrating for goalkeepers to get good ratings, and it sucks to see other team’s keepers concede 3 or 4 and get an 8. Now you may be thinking that they faced a different amount of shots, and Allison had more saves. Well... They faced the same amount of shots on target. De Gea even faced more shots. Sure, Allison had to defend from two clear cut chances (which he conceded), but even then, there should not be such a difference in match ratings.
  5. I am curious as to how loan with obligation to buy players IRL would be portrayed in FMM18. Players such as Mbappe, Douglas Costa, Kessie, Howedes, and many more who moved to a new team on loan but with obligations to buy. Will they just be loaned back to their former clubs at the end of the season in the game, or will they just be permanent players at their new clubs?
  6. Football Manager has never been known to be a very glitchy game, and as time goes on, the games get better. But that won't stop a few glitches and other strange events from squeezing into your save file from time to time. Here are a few that I've experienced in my year of playing FMM17. NORTHERN IRELAND VS. SPAIN I've never seen something as silly as this so early into a save. I've seen things like the US getting to a World Cup Final, or Germany not even qualifying, but those happened over 10 years into a save. But for something this improbable to happen only two years after the start of a save is remarkable. I believe that they had to defeat Germany and Brazil to get to the final. It's a shame that they didn't win it. IZZY BROWN: MOST EXPENSIVE PLAYER OF ALL TIME? This was a fairly common bug still found in the game today, but I always find it funny. If you use a player in an exchange deal, the team receiving the player will not know how to value that player. Most of the time it will say that the player is not for sale or is irreplaceable, and will not list a price. That is, however, if the player requests a transfer and the club allows it. Then you just enquire about the player, and they will always quote something reducilous, in my case, $1.36 billion. Its safe to say that I didn't find the price reasonable. STRANGE FORMATION NAMES This one has happened to me only once, and I could never explain it. For some reason, when I tried to choose a new formation, some of the names were switched with some player stats, specifically John Stones. Things like his price, name, average rating, and position replaced formation names like 4-3-1-2 and 4-3-3. I'm now curious to see what a John Stones formation or a $96 million formation would look like. BAD START FOR MAN CITY This one is just odd. I've never seen a club the size of Man City start a season so poorly before. Bottom of the league ten games in. And the best part? They never sacked Pep for the whole season. That happened next year after being in 7th in January. Don't know how he stayed on that long in the first place. Well, that's it for me, but I would love to see any strange occurrences in your saves! This game is so fun, but it's always cool to see when things don't quite go to plan.
  7. Help Transfers

Ugh. Has it taken this long in the past?
  8. The best saves are when you get the option to overturn the permit crap later on.
  9. Chat Interesting Regen Names

I've seen an English goalkeeper named Bryan Byram, and Ronaldo's regen's name is Igor Ié.
  10. Guides/Tips Big Club Bargains

He's a good one too, although he always has a few clubs bidding for him whenever I try to sign him, which raises his price.
  11. These players on this list are meant to showcase transfers that may pay off massively in the future. While they may seem expensive when they happen, the player's values will almost always balloon in the coming seasons. This list is in no particular order, except for the last entry. ROMELU LUKAKU $36 million may seem like a lot for a club like AC Milan, as that's almost their whole budget in the first season. But the production level is very easy to see, and his value will increase by about $20 million by the end of the season if he doesn't get injured. And at 23 years old at the beginning of the save, he has the potential to stay with the club for almost a decade. SANTI MINA The young, versatile, and cheap Spanish attacker is perfect for any team. He can play on either wing, as well as up front. And with a relatively inexpensive price tag of around $22 million, and a 4.5 star potential, what more can you ask for in an impact sub? MAURO ICARDI Mauro Icardi is a common signing for me in FMM 17 due to his talent, age, and low price. I've gotten Icardi for as low as $33.5 million, but in this save, his value grew to $84 million by the end of the January transfer window. With 9 goals and 6 assists in 23 appearances (mostly appearing as a substitute) as well as the amazing profit of over $40 million, this man is a must-buy for a bigger club if you can get him for under $35 million. And to get the best out of him, you should give him regular first team football to increase his value and give your team great success RENATO SANCHES Wonderkids, wonderkids, wonderkids. They dominate the forums and dominate the game itself. And the great thing about them is that they can either succeed and be amazing players, or fail to blossom into anything special (looking at you, Freddy Adu). This looked to be the case for Renato Sanches in the year 2019. Transfer listed by Bayern, I decided to give him a shot. And at only $28 million, he's a steal compared to what you may have to pay for him earlier on in the save. At 22 in 2019, he still has room to grow, and with the proper gametime, he can grow into someone worth over $100 million. VACLAV CERNY I saved this one for last because it may be one of my best transfers so far. I have seen Cerny's value get to as high as $50 million, and to pick him up for $4.7 million in 2018 is insane. It's the reason that I check the transfer list every few weeks. You never know what kind of gem you may pick up. His stats since his signing may not look great, but he led the team with 10 assists and only played half of the season. He's an assist machine that can play on both sides, and he's great if you can get him for this cheap.
  12. I'm asking because I've got Ronaldo as a physio, and he's a bronze level. I know that coaches can be upgraded, but I don't know if physios just take time to upgrade. I wouldn't want to use someone who isn't as good with no chance of getting better.
  13. Poll What Formation will you be using

    Probably either 3-4-3 or 4-4-1-1
