  1. An endeavour, manager Luke Masters had never attempted before, was about to become real. Sweat beads dripped off his forehead as he slowly drew up his game plan. Ripping sheet after sheet of paper in fury, he didn't know what to do. Then an idea trickled into his head. After one single minute, his notepad now simply had the number, '1000' written on it, with a picture of a young mexican pinned across. ''Hello,'' a serious Luke said,''I'd like to book a flight to Madrid please.'' INTRODUCTION Managerial Admin: The Main Man: Potential Transfer Targets: Potential Youth Intakes: Season Aims: Fierro - 50+ Goals Win either Liga BBVA or Champions Cup Buy young players for First Team Buy and Develop Wonderkids Don't embarass myself. Do you think I will be able to get 50+ goals for a starting season? Do you think my potential transfer targets are strong and will help in the long term? More importantly, what silverware will I win? Let's do this.
  2. The King is dead, long live the King! Oh, well, the king is not dead, but at least he will be sold at the end of the season. This career will be my attempt at the Atletico Madrid challenge. I will make it a basic challenge, however I set the target to 40 goals per season. I will not make the target progressively higher as I want a fairly relaxed career to follow up my 1k with Facundo Ferreyra. My first striker: Naturally, I'm using Diego Costa for my first season. I've played almost 1,5 seasons into this career already and will try to update as soon as I've finished a season so stay tuned for the first update shortly. Lastly, I hope that you will follow my adventure with Atletico Madrid, enjoy the thread and comment on my progress.
  3. I think he can do a lot later on the game and he look promising so i decide to let him do the challenge I hope you guys will like it... season 1 report will come fast... Hope me luck. Cheer mate ^_^
  4. I Ain't No One Club Wonder! Haven't we all had those times when someone has put down something you've done down to beginner's luck or being a one time wonder? Well, the same thing happens in football all the time. Look at Brendan Rogers. When he was at Swansea, he was praised for his tactics and lauded for his managerial ability. Yet, when Liverpool were struggling for consistency during the beginning of the 2012/13 campaign, he was put down as a one club wonder, incapable of consistency himself. Look at Martin O'Neill. When he was at Villa Park a few years back he was said to be a brilliant manager who was capable of getting the best of his players. Look back at him during his spell at Sunderland. He could hardly get anything out of an underperforming squad who were just as capable, if not more so, than his team at Aston Villa was. David Moyes recently fell into the same trap when he decided to leave Everton for Manchester United. This challenge, quite simply put, is to avoid the fate of the managers above; to avoid the fate of the One Club Wonder. Objective To win as many League Titles with as many different teams as possible How it Works 1) Pick any team from any League 2) Win the league title with that team in as few seasons as possible 3) Upon winning the title, resign and get a job with a different team from within the same division. 4) Rinse and Repeat The real challenge comes when you have to change teams. Having just built a squad good enough to win the title you will have to start from scratch with a different team. And of course, every team will give every manager a few problems of their own. This helps to keep the game fresh and always interesting. Rules The more titles you have won, the higher you will be on the leaderboard 1) No Unlockables/Cheats 2) No use of Changes.txt 3) Screenshots needed as evidence. Preferably a career posted Leaderboards
  5. Double Trouble: Can Your Deadly Duo Bang In 1200? That's right folks! One of the most popular challenges of FMH 2013 is back again for FMH 2014! Will this installment of FMH make it more difficult for your Deadly Duo to knock in 1200 goals? Or will it perhaps allow them to top the mark with ease? Well, there's only one way to find out! Give the challenge a go! Introduction Collymore-Fowler, Owen-Heskey, Yorke-Cole, Henry-Berkamp, Raul-Morientes, Del Piero-Trezuguet or going back even further, the likes of Rush-Dalglish or even further back Puskas-Di Stefano. And of course, more recently, Rooney-Van Persie. These are some of the great strike partnerships in the history of football. These Players feed off each other and strike terror in the hearts of opposition defenders. These Players who more than anything else, put the ball in the net again and again, time after time. The challenge is simple enough, but can you beat it? Objective The objective of this challenge is to have two strikers score a combined total of 1200 goals. As an additional challenge one may attempt to also rack up a combined 600 assists between the pair. RULES - The two strikers must both be playing as strikers at all times (Both strikers A and B must be playing in a forward role ~ no advanced playmakers! ~ Trequartistas are fine) - You must use a tactic with two strikers at all times. That means no formations with one up top! - Both Real Players and Regens are allowed - No Unlockables/Cheats can be used - No use of changes.txt - No reloading to avoid injuries - International Goals count, but only those a player scores in game. Also both strikers must be of the same nationality for it to count. - Screenshots are required as evidence Leaderboards - Real Players Lee-Roy with Luis Suarez & Diego Costa Link - http://fmhvibe.co.uk/community/topic/18464-welcome-to-the-costa-del-suárez-completed/ - Regens
  6. Buy, Score, Sell, Repeat! Hello and welcome to my first solo career on FMH2014 As you may or may not have guessed from the temporary title, I will be attempting the Atletico Madrid Challenge, a beautiful challenge created by Ashez. (See http://fmhvibe.co.uk/community/topic/18388-the-atletico-madrid-challenge/ for more details on the challenge if you are unfamiliar with it). I have spent a while making a tactic designed for the AMC, 1kc and similar challenges and it is still not fully developed, so it will be a few seasons until I reveal it to you. I will design a leaderboard of my players which I use, ranking the amount of goals they score and in which season. I will post this at the end of every update to make my career easier to navigate. If you have a functioning football-mad brain, you will have already guessed my starting player, Diego Costa! If anyone would like to suggest a title for my Spanish adventure, I'm all ears
  7. I will be attempting the impossible challenge created by patrick and updated by Ashez. in this challenge i must win every trophy available to me starting in the skrill north/south. this is how i will be starting out
  8. Introduction: So after watching MOTD for the billionth time, I realised just how great a feat Gary Lineker accomplished. No, not that he holds England's record for goals scored in Fifa World Cup finals, never receiving a yellow or red card during his WHOLE CAREER! Yes, he was a striker, but even strikers get cautioned/sent off from time to time. So this is challenge is dedicated to him. Challenge 1: Yes, there's going to be 2 challenges. This one being the hardest of the two. Anyway, for this challenge you can pick any team you want. Although it is better to have a reasonably wealthy one is doesn't really matter too much. You can only buy players with 10 or less aggression and 10 or more tackling. So that there are the least cards possible. You can keep players in your current squad if they match the needed attributes. If they do not have the right stats, you have to sell them and buy replacements still withitn the attribute range. If a player (who when you signed him had the right attributes)'s aggression for example rises during the career then you can keep him up until it hits 15. Then you must sell him. With tackling if it goes below 8 you have to sell him. For GK's then just do the same but only with aggression. The challenge is you must keep count of all red and yellow cards during the career. You can do this by either looking at each players history at the end of each season or when you sell him or you can just look on the match screen at the end of each match. So: I decided to take Man United. I can keep De Gea, Amos, Keane, Ferdinand, Buttner, Carrick, Giggs an Powell. I don't have to keep them they're just ones I can keep so I sell Powell along with the players who didn't have the right stats. So I sign Gregory van der Wiel, Pirmin Schwegler, éder, Luke Shaw and Granit Xhaka. I play the friendlies, then I play the Community Shield against Man City. We draw 1-1. Xhaka was sent off and Giggs got a yellow so I write down "1 yellow 1 red". Then I just continue like that. Rules: 1. No use of changes.txt/the SE 2. No use of unlockables/cheats 3. Screenshots needed as evidence, preferably a career posted Leaderboard: Entries will be presented like so: club - yellow cards - red cards - seasons Challenge 2: For this challenge, you also get to choose whichever team you want. But you only choose 1 player who's attributes need to be 8 max aggression and 10 min tackling. He has to be a striker but can be in your team from the start or can be bought. You don't need to do anything to the rest of the team you can buy and sell as you wish. To make this more interesting, the striker has to score at least 25 goals per season. You only have to keep count of the strikers yellow/red cards. It is better to choose multiple leagues and large databse so that there are more possibilities. So: Again I choose Man United. There are no suitable players so I start searching. After a few minutes I decide on 28 year old Tom De Sutter. I paly until December and he has 25 goals, 2 yellow cards and 0 red. Little details: The player doesn't have to be an SC he can be an AM/F RC or an AM/F RLC or whatever as long as he's either natural or accomplished as a striker. If his aggression/tackling changes then it's like before you can keep him up until a certain point, then you have to sell him. Rules: 1. No use of changes.txt/the SE 2. No use of unlockables/cheats 3. Screenshots needed as evidence, preferably a career posted Leaderboard: Entries will be presented like so: player - goals - club - yellow cards - red cards - seasons Well... This is only my 2nd challenge so comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or criticisms (constructive only ) then fell free to post.
  9. 10 Leagues, 9 Old Men and 800 Goals Concept This challenge is deceptively simple to propose but devilishly difficult to attempt. In essence, it is a highly convoluted goal challenge, The target is to score 800 goals with 10 different strikers over 10 different leagues. Sound tough enough? Unfortunately, it only gets tougher as you can only use strikers born before July 1st 1985. In fact, you must use one striker born each year from 1985 to 1976. However, to make things easier you can choose to "omit" one year from the list and replace it with any striker you like. In essence, you get one "wildcard". I'm sure this is about the time you guys are getting pretty confused, so let me walk you through an example For Example Alright, so let's say I decide to hunker down with Juventus for my first season. My first major decision would be to pick the first striker I want to start with. Let's say I go with Nicolas Anelka who is born in 1979. This means that I cannot use another striker born in 1979 after this. After the season is over, I reboot my game and decide to go to PSV let's say. Since I already used Anelka, I can't choose to use Forlan for instance as he is also born in 1979. However I can choose to use Fred, who is born in 1983. Similarly when season 3 rolls around, I must reboot my game, change the league and choose a striker from another age group between 1976 and 1985. For example, I could choose Manchester United and David Villa who is born in 1981. Now somewhere down this 10 season long challenge I can choose to play my wildcard. Basically, I can choose to omit one of the age groups and instead pick whatever striker I want. Let's say I'm in season 6 and I really don't want to pick a striker born in 1985. Instead, I can play my wildcard and pick whomever I like, Balotelli, Rooney, Messi, whoever! Unfortunately, you only get one wildcard. The Challenge in the Challenge In my opinion, this challenge is quite strategic. For example, you must be able to plan ahead to which strikers you want from each age group, what 10 countries you will want to play in and most importantly, which age group will you want to use in each country. Of course, then you have the added chaos of the wildcard which serves to complicate matters even more. Do you choose to use your star striker in a weak league, thereby resigning yourself to using your weaker strikers in better leagues or do you spread the talent around evenly? When do you use the wildcard? All of these questions are central to doing well in this challenge. Round Up - What to Do 1) Pick a league to start in & pick a striker to play with (Born between 1976-85) 2) Play season 3) When season is over, reboot game and pick another league and another striker (Born betwwen 1976-85 but not on a year already used) 4) Repeat steps 1-3 for 10 seasons 5) Try to score 800 goals in total and don't forget to use your widcard! Rules 1) No Unlockables/Cheats 2) No use of Changes.txt/Save Editor 3) Screenshots needed as evidence. Preferably a career posted Leaderboards
  10. MM96 Attempts to That's right folks! I will be attempting my very own challenge, "Sell Them Slowly"! Since this is the first ever attempt at the challenge there isn't too much to say to be honest. I've decided to try this in perhaps the most competitive league in the game, the English Premier League. And of course, since I'm in England there was always only going to be one team I would choose... I haven't quite settled on the exact tactic I will be using yet. but this will be my starting XI: David De Gea Rafael da Silva Phil Jones Nemanja Vidic Patrice Evra Antonio Valencia Michael Carrick Darren Fletcher Shinji Kagawa Wayne Rooney Robin van Persie And of course, for this challenge to work, all of you guys must vote!!! The poll is posted above so get on board and let me know who you want to see sold first in this devilishly difficult endeavor! Get cracking So Vote and Comment
  11. The Caretaker Challenge Not for the faint-hearted! Are you bored with too much success in FMH? So that's the challenge for you! In this challenge, you will not build a successful career with any club. Trophies will be few, and reputation hard to get. However, every season will present itself with a set of very demanding and challenging games ahead! Still interested? Keep on reading! Background You have finished a successful footballing career. You have been touted as a promising manager for the future, one that has everything to become the new special one. Unfortunately you have decided that a managerial career is not for you. After a couple of months unemployed, an old friend calls you. He works for a small club, that has been having an awful time on the league. Supporters are angry, and they had to let go their underachieving manager. Problem is, they have no idea where to find a capable manager to steer the team back into the right track. Seeing your friend's misery, you reluctantly offer your services. - Only for this season, you said. Hopefully, you will do a great job! The team will be back on track, and on the last day of the season your friend returns, with a good offer. He wants you to stay on the job for very long. - Sorry, my friend. This career is not for me. I will leave the club on the last day of the season, and I'll not manage anymore. And you left, job well done, but thank heavens it's done! A couple of months later, you start getting bored of your retired life. You feel that maybe, just maybe, you should manage once more. And as soon as you feel like being back on the field side, you receive another phone call. Another club, another desperate situation. - Just this season, you say... Rules! - Start the game unemployed. - Play any league you want, but I recommend nations with more than one tier as a primary league as it gives opportunity to climb up and experience more diverse challenges! - After the game starts, holiday for at least two months. In European leagues, you need to holiday until the beginning of September. - After two months, you can apply for jobs. - Take the first job you're offered, and try to have the best season you can! - On the last day of the season, you have to quit. - New season comes, you have to holiday through two months again before you can apply for jobs. - Rinse, and repeat Remarks Unlockables take out the fun from the challenge. This challenge is perfect if you wish to post a nice varied career! Plenty of different challenges will arise, and you will have to be on the top of your game every season! Good luck, and enjoy!
  12. Destination San Marino! Firstly my name is Jack Bullock and i am English and 24 years of age! I suffered with a career ending knee injury when i was 19 and since then I've embarked on becoming a Football Manager! I was extremely excited having just passed my coaching courses and was treating myself to a holiday to Italy, to a place called Forli. It was nothing special really but what happened over there made my stay a lot longer than i ever imagined! The first day went smoothly and as expected just chilling out by the pool, very cliche i know, but the second day i saw in the local paper, with the very basic Italian i knew from school, that the San Marino boss had retired due to an illness. I has heard of San Marino from when i used to play as them on FM back in the day but i didn't realize what was to happen next.......
  13. The Hyundai A-League is not the most popular league on FMH, but hopefully this challenge will see a few attempts. Basically, the aim is to win lots of trophies with A-League teams. The Rules 1. No cheating or use of editors, changes.txt or reloading. 2. You must start unemployed, loading Australia and any other league of your choice. 3. Holiday throughout Season 1 and take note of the six teams qualifying for the finals. 4. Start applying for jobs. 5. You must win an A-League Finals Series title with each of these six clubs and a Champions League title with three of them. 6. Good luck
  14. Sell Them Slowly Objective The main objective of this challenge will be to win six consecutive league titles with one team The Concept, The Catch and How This Will Go Down 1) Pick one of the big teams in any league. Only the highest division from each country is allowed though. 2) Pick your starting XI for that team. This will not "change" over the course of the career. As aforementioned, the challenge will last 6 seasons or 12 transfer windows. In each transfer window you must sell one of the players in your starting XI. The catch is that in each window you can only make one new signing. Not only that, but the signing must be to directly replace the player you just sold. In other words you will be buying a player to replace the mainstay of the starting XI you just got rid of. But wait, there's more! The player you sign can only be worth up to 10% of the transfer fee you received for the player you sold. The career progresses as such until you fail to win the league or if you have successfully won it 6 times. The novelty of the challenge lies in how you choose to buy players as well as searching for hidden gems who will be able to fit into your system for a bargain price. Will you choose to invest in youth early on in hopes that they will become world beaters later yet at the same time risk being knocked out early with an underdeveloped team? Or will you try another strategy? To make it more interesting, one could allow the members of Vibe to decided which player of the Starting XI is sold in which transfer window through a career poll For Example Let's say I pick United. Next, I have to choose my mainstay starting XI. Let's say I opt for this: De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Cleverley, Carrick, Valencia. Kagawa, Rooney & van Persie Transfer Window 1: I set up a poll in my career thread and everyone wants me to get rid of Rooney. I am able to sell Rooney to Real Madrid for 50 Million. Now I have a maximum of 5 Million Euros to go out and buy a replacement. Let's say I'm able to pick up Ola Toivonen for that amount. Transfer Window 2: I set up another poll but this time there are only 10 players on it as Rooney has already been sold. Let's say Vibe wants me to offload Ferdinand. But disaster strikes. Nobody will take him off my hands for any price, so I have to release/demote him In this case I have no choice but to follow the rules and sign a player for a maximum of 10% of 0 or in other words, a free transfer. Now do you guys get a feel for why this is so tough? I manage to pick up some random player on a free transfer. Transfer Window 3: Assume I won the league in the first season and my team at this point looks like: De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Random Player, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa, Valencia and Toivonen Remember that these players must be the mainstays of your team. Anyways, let's say Vibe wants to axe Kagawa. I manage to get rid of him for 30 Million. Now I need to find a suitable replacement for a ridiculous 3 Million Euros! Anyways, that's the gist of the challenge and one simply rinses and repeats until they either fail to win the title or have won it 6 times. Rules 1) No Unlockables/Cheats 2) No use of Changes.txt 3) Screenshots needed as evidence. Preferably a career posted 4) One must use the mainstay of the team unless they are injured, recovering from an injury or have are below 80% 5) One can only make 1 transfer in each window. That transfer is reserved for the replacement player you are buying 6) No Regens can be bought 7) If you make it all the way to the end, the final transfer window will see no dealings whatsoever. Leaderboards The more seasons surpassed, the higher you will be on the leaderboard
  15. Can you conquer the greatest league in FMH with an army of old men? In honour of the World Cup, I would like to challenge Vibe to join me in my obsession with old footballers. Spanish giants, Barcelona, have been purchased by Saga and virtually the entire squad has been cast onto the transfer market as free agents. While the rest of the footballing world squabbles over the cast-offs, The new manager of Barcelona has formed a new team out of the oldest players representing their nations at the 2014 World Cup. Will you take the role of Oriol Alvarez Perez as he leads this team of doddering misfits into the 2013/14 season? The Challenge Show the value of experience by achieving as much as possible in one season with the "New Look" Barcelona. Points will be awarded for various achievments at both player and club level: Win the Super Cup - 20 points Win the Spanish Cup - 50 points Runner up in the Spanish Cup - 25 points Win the League - 50 points Second in the League - 25 points Third in the League - 10 points Win the Champions League - 100 points Runner up in the Champions League - 50 points Win the Europa League - 50 points Runner up in the Europa League - 25 points World Player of the Year - 100 points Runner up World Player of the Year - 50 points Spanish Player of the Year - 50 points Runner up Spanish Player of the Year - 25 points Manager of the Year - 50 Points Runner up Manager of the Year - 25 points Every League Goal - 1 point The Rules One attempt only No cheating No unlockables Absolutely no transfer activity No use of save editors Own tactics only All points must be evidenced by a screenshot - either in this thread or in a mini career. 18. THE UNEMPLOYED CHALLENGE I'm gonna try the very hate unemployed challenge and be the first to complete it. If I'm not first ill still try... The reason that I am doing this is because I got bored if my Sevilla career as no one was replying.
  19. Maxin' Out The title of this challenge itself may be a tiny bit misleading. In all honesty this is hardly a challenge. It's more of a compilation of data, although it could be thought of as a short goal challenge... The Challenge Quite simply, the challenge is to score as many goals as possible with one striker in one season. That's really all there is to it. How many can you get with one player in a certain league in one season? Is there some kind of limit to how many one can score in a certain league. In other words, is there a point where one "maxes out" per se? The leaderboards will be split by league to make things more intriguing. Other than that however, there isn't much else to say really, just post a screenshot of your goals and your tactic and I'll add you in. Rules The usual really: Any club, any league! Player must be real No unlockables or text changes/save editor Own tactics only Goals scored include all competitions played during season other than friendlies. 20. The Golden Oldies World Cruise Challenge Another Android-friendly, globe-spanning challenge for people with a lot of time on their hands. This is a challenge that I got started on for FMH12, but I didn't get very far into it, thanks to the release of FMH13. it's inspired by the Tommi Morgan challenge, but takes it to the next level, asking you, the manager, to bring some joy into the life of an ageing footballer in every playable league in the game. The Challenge Play one season in each playable league, signing the oldest available native player (i.e. an Englishman in the English leagues, a Brazilian in the Brazilian leagues etc.) and giving them a season to remember. Points are scored for various achievments and each season's total is added together to give a grand total score at the end of the challenge. You have to select a club in the highest available league, but other than that the choice is yours. Further rules are: 1. You can use any tactic you like. 2. No unlockables allowed. 3. Absolutely no cheating! 4. All achievements must be evidenced by screenshots. 5. To gain points for cup victories, the player must have been involved in the final. The Scoring The player gains points for the following: League and domestic cup goals/assists - 1 point each Continental goals/assists - 2 points each International goals/assists - 5 points each Player of the month - 10 points Player of the month runner-up - 5 points Domestic player of the year - 30 points Domestic player of the year runner-up - 15 points World player of the year - 100 points World player of the year runner-up - 50 points League champions - 20 points Domestic cup winner - 20 points Continental cup winner - 30 points Super cups, both domestic and continental, and the Club world championship are not counted, since it would push managers into managing a handful of clubs in order to maximise the chance to score points. The Players According to my research, the following players are the oldest available strikers with just one nation loaded. they vary dramatically in quality, from the astounding Rivaldo (who is technically a midfielder, but I couldn't resist his charms), to the woeful Steve Torpey. 21. Roman Abramovich has yet again sacked another manager, this time it is Roberto Di Matteo who gets the sack. Chelsea had gone on a barren spell in which they had gone winless for a massive 7 consecutive Premier League games, and not even Di Matteo's legendary status at the club, and the fact he brought the Champions League trophy to Stamford Bridge, could save his job. This means whoever is appointed to replace the Italian will be the ninth manager under Uncle Roman in 8 years, and the current bookie's favourite for the job is Pep Guardiola, with Abramovich expressing an interest in tempting the former Barcelona manager out of his break from management with a lucrative contract. The aim of this challenge is for you to take charge of Chelsea, and satisfy Abramovich by winning all competitions available to you in your first year. So, you must win the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Barclays Premier League, The FA Cup, Capital One Cup and Community Shield - all in your first season! Game settings are as follows: Unlockables: Off Leagues: England Any other settings are optional, although if you do it with Attribute Masking on, you get bonus points: so don't forget to mention it when you post your results! Please post screenshots as evidence if you want to be added to the leaderboard (I will need screenshots of the league table, the final of every cup competition, your manager profile and preferences: both in-game and on the main menu)! So to summarise, you need to win everything in your first season as Chelsea manager, with no unlockables and only the English leagues loaded. Remember to post screenshots with your results, and I will add you to the leaderboard! Good luck! Leaderboard: 1st: N/A ---------- 2nd: N/A 3rd: N/A
