You think your club has it bad? Spare a thought for Stockport County. At the end of the 2009-10 season, the Hatters were relegated from League One. Fast forward three years and they're about to embark on their first season as a part-time club in the Skrill North. Finances are tight but many expect this former giant to rise once again. With big names such as Dietmar Hamann and club legend Jim Gannon unable to stop the rot, they have turned to rookie boss Steve Coney. Many Stockport fans have criticised the appointment of the former Sunday League manager but who can blame the Hatters board for going in a different direction? Hi guys, this will be my first career posted on here and I'm looking forward to it. I'm basically looking to get from the Skrill North to the Premier League as quickly as possible. This means if I am offered a job higher up the Pyramid and it makes sense for me to leave, I will. I started unemployed and Stockport were the only managerless team in the Skrill North/South so I applied and was given the job. I told the board I expected to make the play-offs and I definitely think we can challenge for promotion. I've been given £7.8k weekly wage budget with a transfer budget of £18k. I have around £1.5k to work with in wages but I'm finding it hard to bring players in. Luckily, Stockport start with a decent young squad for this level. The best players at each position are... Goalkeeper: Defender: Midfielder: Striker: I'll probably include two months of game time in each update. I have made a few signings (most from the reserves) to add to the squad.
