I'm curious what your possession is like. That's a lot of playmaker roles, unless you have more solid overall players that still defend despite being the playmaker.

Hi I've never posted tactics before but here goes my very solid tactic from fm22 on fm23 still going strong 2 tweaks to tactic play with it see how it goes both works well I switch it up depending on opponents but either works 

 

at first it was like a average formation you could say even below average but after a few tests i found that setting the cdm to ball winning midfielder was incredibly helpful maybe the dlp wasnt working out for me 
but i still wanna test the bwm with moving the wingers up next to the striker as people say the ifs work great in that position and i wanna test using overload but for now im locking the bwm

i tested this with newcastle (with average players compared to the prem except guimares and isak) and real
if you concede goals try switching the dm to bwm instead of dlp as bwm helps the defense but at the cost of a little more chances i think bwm is better so if you have a full on dm just use bwm 
you can use overload when ur in need of a goal 
if you want to hold a lead switch to balanced maybe even counter or defensive(havent tested this enough)
as for the players required i believe the midfield is the most important part of the team if you bad midfielders' you probably wont concede but you wont score
as for striker you should always try to go for one that has good aerial as i've found that they score a lot more goals (isak had 11 at the start and after mentoring and improve him he was at something like 16 to 18 i dont remember) but he banged in a lot of goals getting prem golden boot
also i found that my right full back trippier was assisting a lot of goals 18 so try to get a good one 
so focus on striker midfielders and right back 
wingers could be average but ofc you want the strongest you can get

Not as good as it was said.
Niether bwm or roaming playmaker role for DM.
Keep conceding from Soton, MC, Brentford, anyone. Playing for Arsenal. Simply doesn't work well - minimum chances, easy broken on counter attack.
