Tactics TACTIC PINUCCIO-MOU 4-2-3-1

The tactic works perfectly it was high scoring and high possession so I merged it with my other meta tactic and it was amazing

I'm probably going to drop the complete tactics today or tomorrow

I like the feel of this tactic and that’s what’s important for me honestly. I see the shape and the movement of the players play out very nicely.. been testing it on FM23 (because I hadn’t moved on to 24) and it did well for me (I don’t look for undefeated seasons or 100 goals etc etc)..

I downloaded FM24 and started up with Leeds.. am just starting regular season (won first game) but friendlies felt really good.. the man marking like you said really gives the sense of what that Mourinho team played like.. I also made it Balanced rather than attacking because the team is a little light on quality.. I obviously switch around in game to attacking if I need a goal but even in balance the shots are being taken and if have the lead going into minute 75 I will move to time wasting or Counter depending on the opposition

I moved the attacking focus to the left side as we have better suited players for that side:

switching the left to WB and IF because I like Summerville as a IF rather than winger and Firpo is a more natural WB

switched right to DFB and W because James on the right has better crossing

switched the A and CM and the NCB and CD) to maintain the balance in pattern..

as I start with no budget I can’t buy a backup left WB (Leeds only has firpo as a natural.. Leeds never have enough left sided WBs lol) so I expect I will rotate to right side a lot to compensate (pray firpo doesn’t get injured) and move struijk to DFB on the left so it will be an interesting season!

Just following up on my last comment. I  really like this tactic and have been trying it on many teams.. it is not “unrealistic” as in you fire it up and you end up destroying every team (at least initially until you build up the team or not pick the best… even then there’s ups and downs) so it does give a sense of realism.. I like switching up right and left focus attacks frequently.. the only major change (until I find a top BWM) is to have both the double pivot at CMs.. they create a better triangle with the AM (who depending on the type of player in that role and striker they are working with as well I move to AP)..

I like your tactics as I too am not interested in tiki much anymore.. good work!

thanks friend. To be honest, tikitaka is fascinating, but I think that on platforms like pes or fifa, which have fantastic graphics, it is a nice and pleasant tactic. On a platform like fm mobile, which doesn't have high level graphics, seeing static dots doing tiki taka becomes boring. And the defenses have time to compact. Furthermore, FM Mobile has an excessive defensive compactness and few open spaces. Therefore, I prefer to use a tactic that can open up the defense. Thank you for the feedback

Hi pinuccio I am just started playing fm 24 as an unemployed manager ,then I got offer from Turris who is right now in relegation playoff,I have several players in the squad but as per assistant manager report our team has worst defense, couldn't give a pass, although I have very good strikers who could score pretty well,I had been playing with one of your tactics project extreme 433--3421 although I had won just 1 match and lost 4 matches after taking charge, can I use this tactics, and somehow carry my team outside of relegation and what's your suggestion, mate, thanks in advance!I am building a team from Italian division who can went to serie a and challenge some hotshot team

A year later and I just wanted to say this tactic is still my go to 4231… I have used it on so many saves because it really needs you to think of putting in the right players for the positions so it can take time and challenge to get it right

did you find this tactic useful?

Yes i have been able to make it work very well as it does require understanding how it works and not just the common all out attack and high possession tactics I see out there

I like counter attack football and Jose philosophy and this really does capture it..

i have been able to take Leeds to trophies and eventually the league championship (it’s not as instant and progression to win is realistic).. tried it in Spain with Bilbao which was a real challenge as you are heavily restricted on players (the starting team I find fits it with some of the older midfielders and defenders plus of course Williams brothers).. also other teams but I can’t remember off the top of my head

this is my favourite 4321

What tactical style do you use? Do you use tiki-taka, vertical tiki-taka, etc.? For the team in general.

I believe tactical style makes no difference at all - it’s just a label based on the tactical instructions.
